These guys are GOOD!! I received very professional service from beginning to end. From the Walk-Thru that covered all of my concerns to moving day. These guys are extremely thorough and respectful of my belongings. I liked that they were professionally dressed, just a quirk of mine which tells me i am dealing with a company that cares about their image. I was nervous on moving day as i think most people are, you just want it to go smooth and hope that there are no issues. Over charges..... he quoted us $5600.00 for our move when we got another quote from these pods people and for them to pack and move and then unpack us was $2700.00. A huge difference. Plus these pods people took apart the furniture and the team that met us at our new house, unpacked us and put all the furniture back together. Eighteen months ago we needed help packing and storing our household goods after we sold our home and began traveling and exploring our life options post retirement. We chose Sierra Valley because they provided just the service we needed. They came into our home and spent three days carefully wrapping and protecting all of our furniture, artwork, and glassware. Absolutely everything was wrapped, protected and put into storage. Last week we moved into our new home, and Sierra Valley finished the job by delivering all of our household goods from storage. We were very impressed with their service. Working with them in our home through the packing up phase and again unpacking was as pleasant as moving can be. They were very careful to protect the furniture and the home. They were fast and focused. The price was very fair. We even had some of the same crew that packed us up be on the crew that unpacked us. There was a small chip on one of our hutch glass shelves. They took the shelf back with them after unloading and came back a week later with a new shelf. If we ever need to move again, Sierra Valley will get our business. read more

Before hiring any moving company I did a ton of research to make sure that I got someone who was reputable and would take good care of my furniture. The bid from Sierra Valley was a bit higher than the other guys, but I'm so glad I payed a little extra - the service was outstanding, and everything made it in one piece. We were in desperate need of a good moving company for a last minute move and Sierra Valley catered to our needs. They were fast, efficient, honest, and really knew their stuff. They were able to disassemble and assemble our large desks and cubicles without any hick-ups because of so much experience in the industry. They were fabulous and I would recommend them to anyone and definitely use them again. read more

The actual movers themselves did a great job and we're professional. So for that, I recommend them. However we were billed for the 45 minute lunch break all 5 movers took, in additional to their 15 minute break for a job that was less than 6 hours, including drive time. So that's an hour and 1/2 of no work we paid for for 5 guys, when the actually moving time was just over 4 hours. They also sent 5 guys instead of 4, without calling ahead to see if that was okay, which increased the hourly rate. They did ask when they got there, but we couldn't actually say no since he was already there. The 5th guy was new and they spend most of the time redoing what he tried to do. I know people have to train somehow, but he should have been at a lower rate at least. Overall our bill was under out quote, but barely, which was all the company cared about when we asked about the billing. We pack and moved a bunch of our stuff ahead of time, in an attempt to cut down the move time. So just beware, they are going to find a way to bill for most of the quoted price regardless of how long the move actually takes. read more
