We moved forward with the fix, and it worked fine, and then it didn't. After a few more visits, and some more parts and tinkering, it finally started working properly. Although it was a strange and difficult situation, they stuck to it until the problem was resolved. The techs Danny and Mark went above and beyond to make sure everything was good. Another thing to add, the way the company communicated back and forth with me was great. They answered every call and every text. Most of the time I spoke with Stacey and she was great. Subsequent to this service, she has reported that the air conditioning is not effectively cooling the premises, with only the fan operating. I advised her to adjust the thermostat to a lower setting. Given her advanced age of 90, her discomfort with the warm air became increasingly pronounced. Today, in collaboration with my brother-in-law, we investigated the issue. We observed that while the unit appeared to be functioning, it was not producing cool air, despite the outdoor fan operating correctly. During our investigation, we contacted the service provider, Thomson. A representative stated that only the thermostat had been replaced and that a service technician could be dispatched for a fee of $159, suggesting a potential wiring issue. Upon reviewing the Honeywell thermostat instructions and wiring diagram, we identified that the thermostat had been incorrectly wired to the "W" terminal. After rectifying this wiring error, the air conditioning unit resumed normal operation, producing cool air. I subsequently contacted Thomson for clarification regarding the initial service. Their response repeatedly referenced a previous replacement 14 months prior. While their online reviews are predominantly five-star, our experience suggests a lack of professionalism. This incident raises concerns about the necessity of recommended services and the quality of workmanship, potentially indicating errors or intentional oversights during the initial installation.

Most notably, Duane personally came out for the estimate and spent time explaining what he thought would suit our needs after hearing our priorities and concerns. He was forthright and did not try to upsell us by recommending the most expensive models or unnecessary add-ons. He spent time reviewing the pros and cons of various models and was always patient and quick to respond to our follow up questions or concerns that came up as we spent time deciding on this significant investment. Once we finally decided on a Lennox inverter model, Duane was able to schedule us in within a week and the entire installation took only one day! He personally oversaw the crew's installation which made us feel more confident that we were getting the best service. We interviewed at least 5 other HVAC companies and none of them provided the reassurance or value that Duane offered. His pricing is also very reasonable! Duane promises a long-term outlook for his clients which we appreciate. We are very happy with the experience with Duane!

Duane's communication through the event was super. Quick responses and helped with scheduling quick. Bryce was available the next day but I held off to have some local troubleshooting. After trying to replace the battery and not finding a resolution, I scheduled a visit. They were on time within the window - unlike some services. Bryce texted me before hand to let me know his eta and I was able to hop on a FaceTime call with him, walk him through the property and issue, and he found the problem immediately. We had contacted a local company and, while the quote and scope seemed adequate, the plan for condenser placement was not great and I had sticker shock. So I went to YELP and found JL Martin. I am so glad I did! Jared toured the home, and came up with a great plan for a new system and was able to come in around 3K less that the previous company. I appreciated the 'out of box' thinking! This included working with the city permit process as well. The biggest hold up was actually the city acknowledging and passing the plan. Once that happened the JL Martin team scheduled quickly and the install was completed in under a day. The install team was incredibly respectful, explained everything that they were doing, and took great pains to be as unobtrusive as possible. They gave me the guidance on what to expect with the state inspection and city, made sure I understood what the filter requirements would be in the future and the city signed off within 10 days of install. I could not have asked for a better experience! They really work with you and everyone, from installer to office staff to upper management were amazing, responsive and helpful. They deserve all the reviews that encouraged me to reach out to them.
