Self-care Sunday. A friend and I walked in on a Sunday afternoon. She got a pedicure and I got a gel mani/regular nail polish pedi. There was no wait time. My nail tech was Hanna. She was so patient with me. I hadn't had a manicure in 3 months so she had some work on her hands. She was very diligent and meticulous with the classic mani/pedi. She got a lot of my dead skin and my nail beds look very fresh. The place is clean and spacious. Lots of room for pedicures and manicures. There is also a lovely setup for the seasons. The pedicure chairs are pedicure chairs. It can massage your full back or lower back or just upper back. It was a very calming experience. I felt very relaxed after my mani/pedi. I've gone to Signature Nail for well over a year. On Sunday, I got a full set before work. I asked for black French tips with a nude base. The woman doing my nails seriously told me "No, that would not look good." I told her that was what I wanted and she insisted it would not look good and that the bubbles I was seeing in my nails would go away. I knew this wasn't true, but as I had to be at work soon, I left knowing I'd have time to have it fixed on another day I could come before work. This morning I came in at open, and the front desk lady told me that she would not fix it unless I paid $45. I've come here for so long, they've fixed nail breaks for me. I was really loyal. Should have listened to the bad reviews, but it was convenient. Came in for a pedicure with my husband and we were both done in about 25 minutes. No attention to detail. Soak, trim, and polish was all she did. Even my husband commented the other places we have been did a more thorough job. Definitely not worth the $40. read more

I'd give this place a 4/10, I paid 80 dollars for short dip nails with tips just for the powder on my nails to start splitting and breaking off a few days later. Two of my nails broke off after preforming simple everyday tasks and 3 nails were splitting in half. I went to Signature Nails on my lunch break, I called before I came. I asked for the price of a nail repair. I was told $10, I mentioned that my nails were long so $10 was ok. When I arrived I spoke with the lady I spoke with on the phone and we agreed on the price. I sat down and the nail techs kept bumping into my chair, the 1st tech (a lady) apologized, but the guy tech did it 5 times. I felt uneasy, so I looked behind me to if something was right behind me causing him to do this and there was nothing. After the service, I went to the register to pay. The same lady I spoke with said 15 dollars, and I said no you told me 10, and she argued that she told me no price. To avoid drama, I paid the 15. I intended on tipping anyways, but when I turned around to exit after paying the male tech was blocking the door. They expected me to act ignorant, but I just walked around him and exited the building. I will never return. THEY ARE RACIST! They will try to provoke! THEY ONLY TREAT WHITE GUEST WITH HOSPITALITY. My wife tried to use an unused Gift Card for her pedicure. She knew there would probably be a balance due on top of it, and the technician a credit card for the difference. The technician ran the credit card for the entire balance. She rudely came back and said that they weren't accepting any Gift Cards issued by the previous owner. The card clearly stated that there was NO EXPIRATION DATE. The law is that Gift Cards HAVE TO BE HONORED when a business is sold. It is legally considered one of the assets of the business being purchased. I spoke to the manager the next day, and she was intractable and very rude. That was the worst experience I've ever had a nail salon. Totally dishonest in their pricing. I showed a picture of how I wanted my nails and was told it would cost 80 bucks. Fast forward to now it costing over 100. I said absolutely not. That's not what I was quoted when I showed the picture and said this is how I'd like my nails. The picture that you see of my nails cost $80! You tell me how that was $80! Then they told me oh we charge you for taking the polish off we charge you for sitting in the chair we charge you for scratching you nose... I LOVE Jennifer Vo. She's been doing my nail (dip w. Hombre ) for the past year and I've had no complaints. Even when she is busy and running behind, she is always pleasant and apologetic. I wish she had her own shop. Horrible experience today with "acting" manager . The owner who is also great was out and he put one of the techs in charge and she was rude and not pleasant . When asking about my appointment she cut me off and didn't let me speak . My 16 year old daughter came with me as a walk-in for a pedicure and when attempting to ask how long it would be after her waiting 40-minutes she was snappy and rude again. Before leaving I attempted to speak with the acting manager privately outside and away from customers and she pretended that she didn't understand what I was saying . Her assistant came out and said she didn't speak English very well which wasn't true and that she was just overwhelmed with being in charge. She said it was a misunderstanding but I explained to her that this was no misunderstanding, the acting manager was rude and unprofessional. The acting manager speaks fluid English as she and I have spoken before . The acting manager went back inside and left me and her assistant to speak. She then comes outside and speaks to her in a language I do not understand very aggressively. If I were to guess , she may have been telling her to come back inside and work. I've been a customer at Signature for at least 9 years and if it wasn't for Jennifer, who has been my nail tech for the last year, I wouldn't be back. Do not waste your time or money. I've been going to this nail salon off and on for 15 years. What was supposed to be a simple "spa pedicure" turned into the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. My nail tech was Tracy Luu and she was not only rude but incompetent. It was so bad I left without any polish because she butchered my toe nails and cut my nails too short. I asked for a water and she had me get out of the chair to get my own in the next room, burned me with an emory board and when I winced in pain, told me I had an ingrown toenail, which I don't have. Literally one of the worst nail experiences I've ever had. The "deluxe" pedicure probably would have been fine, but the lady that I had literally didn't pay attention to anything she was doing. Rarely do the dip manicures last 2 weeks and recently when I've gone in to get a nail that chipped in less than 10 days fixed , they charge $10 per nail. Yesterday, I got a gel manicure-one nail is already cracked and my pedicure has a white spot on each big toe where the polish was not even. Went in for tips and a pedicure. I was asked repeatedly to do dip on my nails and toes and I kept repeating no thank you, and expressed that I get a reaction to the dip powder, one lady responded "no you don't". And so my manicurist proceeds to do dip on my nails so not only did I pay for something I didn't ask for and didn't want I'm gonna have to rip them all off because I'm in pain. I've been to Signature A LOT. I go because it's HUGE and they seem to have a million nail technicians that work there. Compared to other places in Nashville where it's not uncommon to have an hour plus wait for a manicure or pedicure, I like that Signature can almost always get you in without a wait. However, the service and quality of mani/pedi can vary. Still, since my life is about avoiding lines and waits, I'll continue to go to Signature when I'm desperate for a mani/pedi! read more
