Needed a late night dinner place. Options were limited but this place came up. They are open till 11 pm so decided to try it. The ayce Korean bbq only comes with limited banchan, rice and the meats. They also do not have any bone in Kalbi, only boneless. You have to pay extra to eat mandoo, soondubu, kimchi pancake or any other dishes. They also only allot you 60 min. Other kbbq places I've been to cost similar, allot you 90 min and it includes a bunch of other dishes, dessert and has more variety. I felt like their ayce was too limiting. Surprisingly lived here all my life & this is the first time I've tried sikdorak I'm not sure if it was just our expectations, but we felt like it didn't totally live up to the hype. The quality of meats were pretty good, but it felt pretty expensive for what we were getting. Side dishes cost $9.95 extra & lettuce was an extra $8 :( we were also hoping to order the squid but they were out. Otherwise though, the service was amazing and we were seated within about 5-10min! We decided to try Sikdorak for dinner instead of cooking. We didn't have a very long wait time and the wait staff was very courteous. He did take time to inform us that they were short-staffed for the evening but the service was seamless. You wouldn't have known that there were only two of them! came here with a group of 4 on a late sunday evening and joined the waitlist posted on their door (bummer there's no other way to join until you arrive). thankfully they're BYOB so while waiting we stopped at safeway to pick up some beers. it seemed like they were understaffed which might be why we saw empty tables not being filled. meat was good. they bring out your order very quickly, but the plate is SO small. I feel like it just causes more work when you only put 6 thin slices of brisket on one plate and it makes staff have to run more order and wash more dishes. they were very attentive to our grill change when we needed it but weren't paying attention when we were ready to pay. they're actually the first restaurant I've been to that warned us about our time limit and that we were on last call after 1 hour. it's reliable, but I think overall there can be better experiences elsewhere. read more

Yakiniku is one of my favorite meals so it's hard to go wrong. That said, I didn't think the cuts of meat were the best, especially the pork jowl, which was pretty much all fat with barely any meat. Cleanliness-wise, other reviews are on point, it definitely feels like the place could use a deep clean. A friend and her family called me to have lunch with her here since she was on my side, and she said this Sikdorak is cleaner than the one in town. It was my first time to eat here. Because it was on a federal holiday, the lunch special did not apply, and we paid full rate. You have to scan their QR code at the front door to be on their waiting list. Wait was about half hour on a non crowded afternoon. Meats - 4 stars - There were a small assortment of choices of meats, one or two chicken, shrimp and octopus. All were fresh. We could order 4 dishes at a time and 2 different dipping sauces. The fan was low enough so I didn't leave smelling like bbq like other places. I liked the beef brisket, kalbi, steak and thin pork belly best. Service - 3 stars - they were very attentive with my friend's table, but they forgot about our table so we had to always wave them down to replace our grill, order our food and refill our water. Towards the end, my friend decided to give us their plate of meat since we weren't able to wave a server down, and they got another one for themselves right away. Parking - lots of parking since it is at the Waimalu shopping center. Note: there are a couple of homeless people outside the walkway of their restaurant and starbucks. Sikdorak III is good for a quick kbbq lunch. It has great parking and a good amount of seating. When you go, you have to scan the QR code to add your name to the waitlist and you can't go inside until your name is called. There is usually 2 servers during lunch and they're pretty consistent about coming to check on their tables. It is BYOB so if you want anything other than water, you gotta bring it yourself. The banchan selection is super lacking and as I was looking around at other tables, most of the parties had totally different side dishes. Korean bbq with no kimchi? I'm sorry, but not sorry because what in the world is going on with this place? Like since when was it $33 per adult & almost $30 for kids to eat here?! That's ridiculous if you ask me! My 6yr old literally only had a bowl of rice to eat and was charged $20. Why are the meats even getting smaller and smaller? Beef tongue used to be the size of my palm, an adult palm and now it's the size of my 1 year olds palm. This place is so run down! With the amount of volume they have in customers and how much they're charging, you would think they'd have money to upgrade the place! My parent's grill kept shutting off. What I don't understand is why the kitchen closes at 9:45pm when the establishment is open until 11pm? My favorite place for KBBQ! Whenever we want to eat K-BBQ whether it's just the two of us or a group, this is our go-to! Especially since there's not many KBBQ places on the island. There's variety, great price, great sides, clean facilities, and the servers are great at their job! Sikdorak III, like it's older siblings Sikdorak and Sikdorak II, is consistent across the island as far as food, price, and sides. I specifically really love this Sikdorak because it's bigger than the one in town and seems a little more newer. I don't go to the east side of the island as much so that ones not in my orbit to compare; I also live closer to this one so convenience is a factor. We came in as a group of six with out family and had a reservation and we were seated right away. Turns out a few people made reservations so I suggest you do too to get a table because after we left the place started getting packed. Over here, you really can get your moneys worth and flavor is not sacrificed. The banchan (sides) are unlimited as well and its BYOB. We loved anything with the word garlic, spicy, or pork in the name so whatever you order I'm sure you'll love. They give you one serving per person whenever you order meat so if it's hard to over order. It may not seem like a lot but don't worry, it's AYCE! So keep going! Also, the servers working in the evening of December 27th were AWESOME! Service alone is a 5/5 rating. They were personable, attentive, funny, and kept up great work. They remembered to consistently ask us for our order of more meat and changed our grills at great timing. They changed out our grill constantly, made sure we always had water on our table, and they were always there when they noticed we wanted to order more meats. The meat quality was fantastic. I think the only thing is that they come in very small portions, so you do have to do quite a bit of ordering. But they were fresh and I can't argue with that. The ambiance is good. It feels like a mom n pop shop and you sit near other tables. It feels bustling and there's chatter but I think it's great. Where do I start? First of all it's dirty in here you would go ice skating with all the oil on the floor. There was even dark brown gunk under the table, I believe it dripped from the grill. If out here is so dirty imagine what the inside looks like. I understand the floor getting oily since it is a yakiniku place but we went at around 12pm. When we left some of us had the dark brown gunk on our feet or legs. There were 3 groups of people inside eating when we signed in and it took about 15 minutes for our table to be ready that is because they bring out all the banchans, cutlery and water. We had 6 people in our party and they left us 4 water bottles, which was probably the best part of lunch since we didn't need to ask them for water. Our waiter came around and asked us what we wanted to start with. You get to choose 4 options so we asked for 2 tongue and 2 brisket. They came out with a small plate with the 2 meats after our 3rd order he told us ordering 2 portions just goes in as one. If they told us from the beginning we could have ordered more variety of meats. We would also order side things like garlic, jalapenos, and samjang. We got one order of garlic per table (2) and then was told "we're out of garlic" and the next person said "we're cutting them in the back" throughout our entire dine in they were still prepping the garlic. And we were not able to get more. At most there were only 3 parties inside the restaurant (we came on a holiday) but the service was still slow. They would check on us sometimes but most time we had to wave them down just to order meats. And they made sure we knew they were annoyed by their attitude towards us. Be aware they did change the eating time to 60 minutes instead one 90. And they gave us last call at 60 minutes with no warning. We ordered our last dish and when they brought the little dishes they were almost empty so we asked if we could just have one more and they said "I already said last call". There was no one inside besides us and one party just walked in at that time. So it's not like they had to kick us out for the table. Most visits to Sikdorak aren't the best that's why we try to avoid coming here (maybe come 1 or 2 a year to see if anything changes) but they have cow tongue on the menu and a reasonable price, and my friend in my party comes pretty often and likes the service in PC. Went there to eat lunch the other day. When we checked in, we checked in for 4 people. When we got in they sat us on one table with 1 grill. The other 2 people we were waiting for was running late due to traffic. I asked the waitress if I could use the table next to us also because I felt claustrophobic sitting 2 people on each side, also because one person that was coming to meet us was on the bigger side and I knew he would take up alot of space on one side leaving the other person so be kind of far from grill. I asked the lady if we could use the table next to us( mind you the restaurant just opened, there was literally one 1 party of 2 in the restaurant) she told me no and that I'll be charged for the grill. Why am I being charged for the grill if I'm already paying per person? We decided to just eat and not wait for the party even though they were just a few minutes away. The waitress sat down on another table, I was waving my arms in the air to get her attention to order and she just ignored me. There was no way she couldn't see me waving my hands being that she was looking up. On top of that she told the male waiter that she was gonna charge 20% gratuity on our party. Why am I paying gratuity if your sign says you guys only add it on top of parties 5 or more? There was only gonna be 4 of us. I asked the waiter what the problem was. All of this because we asked for another grill so we could sit comfortably???? And to top it all off, we saw the waitress taking pictures of our table! She tried to be discrete but she wasn't very good at it. The waiter tried to apologize and blame that her being Korean and not speaking English was the problem. Ate here twice in the past few weeks and it's not bad! I find the price point and taste very reasonable. The sides were also tasty. I especially like their kim chi and mac salad. They don't have all the sides that are part of other AYCE yakiniku spots but I like their low key atmosphere. But they still have other items available for purchase. All you can eat requires a minimum party of two, which means the only reason I went was because friends were going. But service was fast - we were a party of 8 and it didn't take too long to seat us. They use a scan image link to check in and join the queue, so that can be a plus for those who don't want to wait around till your name is called. There is only one single stall restroom for the restaurant, so if you tend to need to go after a meal, you may need to wait a bit, or else try to wait till you're home. Serving speed is fairly quick, but you only get about an hour to eat now, so other places are better if you're a slower eater or designated table cook.but they are attentive during your time, so you should not feel short changed on servings. A coworker and I came to enjoy a much needed yakiniku lunch after work and loved the convenience of the parking as well as having the restaurant to ourselves for the lunch hour! It has been so long since I have enjoyed a yakiniku location and love that this is closer to home. We were seated right away and the service was good with both the waiter and waitress being very attentive and leaving us a water pitcher at our table. The food was good and the menu prices for lunch at $20 per person were ideal! However we wanted the additional meat options and did select the dinner portions instead for an extra $11 dollars per person. We loved the pork jowl and the brisket along with the sauces which were replaced often along with our grill changes. The ambiance was nice and the simplicity and peace that we had enjoying a nice meal made the price well worth it. Make sure you try the cheese corn which is a bit extra as a side dish but absolutely delicious as an accompaniment to all of the meat selections. We will definitely be back read more

Before coming to this place, I read some Yelp reviews that wasn't good and was worried about the service so I asked my kids if they had any problems here...said it was always good. They like to come to this $29.99 per person all-you-can-eat restaurant so decided to treat them for dinner. As soon as we entered, they sat us right away. They already had 4 different banchan and 2 types of sauces next to the grill and as we sat, they asked if we were ready to order our meats. My kids knew exactly what they wanted to order. The meats were served in a matter of minutes and the grill was hot and ready to go! My daughter was doing most of the frying as my husband and I ate. Even if it was only frying, it felt like a treat since I do all the cooking for my husband and me...she was cooking for us and my son and daughter-in-law were cooking their own...YAY! The meats were red so you know they're fresh. Some of them weren't seasoned so we used the dipping sauce which made it tasty. I loved the beef brisket, pork jowl and short ribs. I should've looked at the menu...I saw some meats that I would've like to try. Next time... The servers were standing by the kitchen observing. They changed our grills when they saw it getting black from the burnt sauce and always asked if we needed more food. The service was outstanding! Can't wait to come back! Since this place is located in the Waimalu Plaza, there's lots of free parking. According to my kids, there's more than double the amount of seating here than the Keeaumoku location so even if it's closer, they drive to Aiea. FYI: As I reviewed my receipt before signing, I noticed the total was a lot higher than expected...they automatically added a 20% tip. My kids then brought it to my attention that if you have a party of 5 or more, a 20% gratuity is automatically added to your bill. If you charge it, the receipt you sign will still have the "tip line" I'm assuming is for people with less that 5 BUT if someone doesn't review their receipt, they might tip again which is a plus for them but not for you. It would've been a nice gesture if they go over the charges with you especially if someone may not be aware of this. My friends & I came on a whim around 6pm. We scanned the QR and waited. There were a ton of tables that were empty and a few that were clean but we still waited over 30 minutes to be sat. When we finally got sat, we were sat at the table that was clean the whole time. Walking in felt like we were walking on ice. The floors are SO slippery it's dangerous. We waited a bit to get serviced and out of all the workers, there was only one young guy who actually gave us decent customer service. When you order, you can order 4 meats per grill and we were a party of 6 so thankfully we got 8 meats at a time because they serve the meats on teeny tiny little plates! I've been to the town location many times and the food here was not even remotely close to the other location. The banchan was not good but we had no choice but to eat that while we waited to order more meats. Our flame for our grill went out so many times we had to keep flagging people to come and turn it back on. To top it off, they auto grat parties of 6 or more TWENTY PERCENT (or even more). The total for a party of 6 at $32.99 pp plus their auto gratuity came out to $257!! Yes, we would have tipped anyway but the fact that we were *hardly* serviced (probably because they knew they were getting 20% or more tip regardless) really annoyed me. read more

Everyone who helped us out were so attentive and didn't miss a beat. Food was great too! You'll get a text to another link after, which will show you your place in line, how many people are in your group, and how long you've waited. I went on a Saturday night around 7pm, with 2 people we only waited 45 minutes! This particular l9cation is situated in the Waimalu shopping center (City mill..safeway etc). well I now know why it always looks crowded.....its because they only allow a very limited amount of people inside at a time.....we was there around 11:30 am on a weekday and they told us we had to wait....hmmm thinking it would be packed inside (we had to check invia cr code) but had a peek inside and tbere was about 10 tables but only 3 or 4 was occupied....maybe they were short staffed (Like every place nowdays) or its a strategy to make them always look busy...hmmm who knows.. They have this special lunch deal for $20.00 (I guess only during lunch hours) 13 select meats and dinner is 23 select meats $29.95. This is one of those places where you pick your meats (4 selections at a time) and cook it yourself..it also comes with unlimited korean small dishes of vegetables and (I think unlimited) rice too Ohh and pitchers of sort of cold water (no ice) . The insides is airconditioned with wooden tables and chairs. Not sure if had in house bathroom. The staff is accomodating and will come by now and then to change your grills and take orders (look down!! there is oil on the ground spilling out the grill so be careful) SIKDORAK Iis Comparable to Gen (same type of cook your own kind of restaurant) A pretty good Value for what it is.
