2 Lunch Specials with Kim Chee sides. Delicious!!

We had 2 Lunch Specials with Kim chee sides. It was delicious!! So glad we decided to try out Yakiniku Jang Su!

Casual ambiance with booths. Banchan taste has changed over the years. I loved the taste of seaweed soup which was comforting in cool weather. Fish cake tasted bland, yet still edible. I didn't really enjoy other banchan. Don't expect refills. My husband received one free refill on kim chee. Price for banchan cost extra $6. Dol Sot Bap was served steaming, heat hot, mixed with beef, veggies, egg yolk, crunchy rice at the bottom. Yummy and reminiscent of the good old days! Employee checked on us periodically to see how we're doing. Plethora of free parking in Pearl Kai Shopping Center. I entered with an empty tummy. However, my stomach didn't agree and got rid of the food quickly. That's a sign not to return.

This rating is only for the Korean food side of this restaurant and not the Yakiniku side. Ordered big bone Kal bi and cold noodles (Bi Bim Kook). We were the first ones in so service waa great. Big bone Kai bi was two pieces cut on a sizzling plater. Bi bim kook comes spicy or mild. The place is small and not to much seating. Pros: Fast service. Cons: For the price, would think I would get more pieces of kalbi. Liked the taste of the bi bim kook but would like more goodies in the dish. Would I go back? It's not my first place choice.

TheBomb.Com! My family and I used to come here all the time back when I was in High School and to this day, the food quality and taste is how I always remember it being.. truly so good! I love the 'banchan' ( side dishes ) that come with your meats. Located at the Pearl Kai Shopping Center with many parking stalls available right outside. We prefer this Korean BBQ over any other KBBQ on Oahu. Service is always top notch.

So we stopped by Yakiniku jang Su First time here. The staff was really nice and the food was great. I got the following Meat Jun

Took the family here for their first time for dinner. We loved every thing. Walk in and were greeted and seated immediately. As we sat it did get more crowded. You have a choice of Yakiniku or menu items and we ordered menu items. The place reminds me of Korean restaurants of my childhood. Their mandoo is delicious, kimchi pancake was tender and crispy, and the bi bim bap was fantastic.

I hadn't been here in years, and I finally came back to order my favorite seafood hot stone pot. It was just as delicious as I remembered--so satisfying and absolutely the best! The only difference now is that they don't include as many complimentary vegetables as before, and if you want more variety, it comes at an extra cost. That said, I was still really happy with what we had, and it definitely satisfied my craving.

Casual, dine-in spot in Pearl Kai. This is a place to consider if you want some good Korean food. The aunties are nice and quick service. We always come for the dolsot bibimbap, love that crispy rice at the bottom of the bowl.

This was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised! I got the bibimbap and it was loaded with veggies. The beef inside was tender and had good flavor. The portion was generous too because I had enough for leftovers. I tried some of my friend's meat Jun and it was tasty. Nothing amazing but your standard meat Jun. Same with the banchan as well. This is a good, quick spot to get your Korean food fix. Servers are nice and prices are decent too!

Food is plentiful and fresh. Great for family style. Just discovered this place in Pearl Kai shopping center! We've been here once a month so far this year. Rice and veggies are refillable upon requests. Aunties are friendly and polite. Bathroom is really clean.

    Hope S.

2nd time here and noticed the prices were more than expected. Tried the meat jun plate about $20 and the meat jun was NOT was expected. Pieces of meat and egg batter was thin as paper. Dipping sauce tasted watery and lacked flavor. The Banchan given with the takeout order was a minuscule amount as well. IMO if you are in the Aiea area and want Korean head to young's kalbee! Or worth trying another restaurant in the Pearl Kai area.

Left over of our kalbi - yea we cut all the meat off the bone :-)

So this is a great place to eat if you are looking for good yakiniku that is not AYCE. Portions are reasonable and just right -as along as you are limiting the meat cuts. If you want to grill a variety like what you expect from an AYCE place, this is not your restaurant. Meat quality was great!! As you can see, we ate everything

We were given a regular menu and a single sheet with Lunch Combos. Three of us decided upon a two choice lunch combo with different choices. One wanted cold noodles. Our jaws literally dropped in awe as the first plate arrived with vegetable tempura and bbq pork. It was humongous!!! My meat Jun and zucchini was pretty huge as well. The person who ordered kalbi with another choice paid $3+ extra for the kalbi selection. We all remarked how delicious our meals were and we all took left overs home. The servers are friendly, refill your water and don't chase you out after you paid the bill. We hadn't all met together since Covid so we had lots to catch up on. You will need to ask for a key to use the outside restroom. The interior furniture and menus show they've been in use for quite some time. If you don't mind that, the food alone is worth coming for or you could order take out.

Very affordable price especially given the huge size! The veggie in the tempura seemed to be more raw so it wasn't our favorite. The tonkatsu was interesting as it was very thin. The meat jun and mandoo were good. Banchan and a small bowl of seaweed soup is included! They were busy but service was fast and great! Small cute local restaurant vibes.

This KBBQ is Seoul good. You might even say Korea Garden is my Seoul-mate!…read more The birthday extravaganza continues! More fire, more good eats, and more soup! We got the seafood pajeon, cold noodles in beef broth, meat jun, galbi-jjim, steamed egg pot, and bibimbap. No actual grilling was done but we weren't exactly here for that. We came here to try meat jun and ended up getting a little bit of everything else. Let me tell you something... the galbi-jjim here alone is enough to pay them a visit. If you don't know what galbi-jjim is, let me explain it real quick. Galbi-jjim is a popular Korean dish of tender, braised short ribs, typically beef or pork, cooked in a savory-sweet soy sauce-based liquid with garlic, ginger, and often fruits like pear or apple for sweetness and tenderizing. It was perfectly savory and saucy, fall-off-the-bone tender, and I want to scream just thinking about it. The first bite alone had me sitting back in my seat. Had I been wearing a hat, I would have taken it off and held it over my heart. It was that good. And since it was my birthday, they brought over a complimentary seaweed soup and a tower of Choco Pies. They even sang Happy Birthday to me and made me blush. Solid eats and excellent service. The parking situation seems nerve racking but they have an attendant at both sides of the restaurant that helps stop traffic to help get you out of there which I found pretty cool!

This place makes their soondae in house as I can tell the difference with frozen soondae and non-frozen ones. Until I go to Korea to try the real thing, this is the best I can get. I definitely think they improved their recipe from the first time I tried it. The aunties here are still very nice but as always give grace because it does get busy here and one aunty would have to take care of multiple tables and party size as well. Overall I'll be coming here whenever I need my soondae fix!! If you haven't tried, definitely come and try! I still need to try the acye here with friends one day!

Lowk wanted to gatekeep this place, but dropping the review is a must, I wanna see this place…read morethrive but hopefully I can still walk in and grab a seat. The food is good, I love AYCE BBQ and all of the meat they provide is EXCELLENT, especially the pork/samgyupsal. The only thing they can beat at is the beef tongue, while it is still very good, Gyu Kaku has better beef tongue but it's just expensive so not worth it at all. Their banchan is great, I am a fan of the Kim Chi they serve here, it has a nice funk to it and a subtle sourness that cuts through the well marbled meat you'll be eating. The Kim Chi soup is also great as well, just as a warning, if you rarely eat kimchi you WILL have increased bowel movements which is not food poisoning but it's the probiotic gut health nature of Kim Chi that flushes you out. So eat it in moderation. My favorite picks are the Pork Jowl/Brisket/Bulgogi/Beef Belly, you literally cannot miss with whatever you pick, it's all very tasty and easy to eat. The service is awesome and feels homy, all the auntys walk around and do their own thing and sometimes check up on you/restock your banchan/soup if you want them to. They have a button you can press to ring them up but you rarely need to do it. If you're not used to how asian auntys talk or behave please don't take it negatively, they express themselves in a brusque manner but they really mean the best. Overall, great meat, great service, great parking space and convenient. The last time I found an awesome tasty spot and wanted to gatekeep it was Seasons Taiwanese Eatery.

Camellia's Yakiniku is a really solid go-to spot when you're craving $30 all-you-can-eat yakiniku. The variety of sides is actually one of the highlights. Along with the meats, you get access to tasty options like pickled cabbage, kimchi, seaweed, and other little banchan-style bites. I also love that it comes with unlimited rice, plus extras like seasoned salad, lettuce wraps, soups, and even things like fried chicken and mandoo. The quality of the meat isn't superb, but honestly it's more than fair for the price point and AYCE format. Service is quick and attentive as always, and the staff frequently changes the grill so your meat doesn't burn -- which I always appreciate. It's an easy weekday dinner spot with pretty good ventilation, but like any good yakiniku place, you'll probably still leave smelling like smoky grilled meat... and honestly that's part of the experience lol. The cherry on top is the pineapple ice cream, which is also unlimited and a perfect sweet finish. I'll definitely keep coming back on days when I have a big appetite and want something convenient and satisfying. Just keep in mind that parking is shared with a bunch of other restaurants in the area, though there is an additional lower lot behind the restaurant. And of course -- don't forget to order the short rib kalbi. Always a must.
