Sill's is always packed on the weekends so we decided to try them early on a weekday and that was a good decision. Known for their Utah scones, we ordered Dale's breakfast, a half order of French toast with bacon, an apple fritter, and a sweet roll. Dale's breakfast came with an egg, hash browns covered in their special gravy, a choice of meat, and yes, a scone. I'm glad that I tried the state's famous scone again, this time at Sill's as it was much better what I'd tasted before. This one had texture, was chewy but still light, and had a delightful sweetness when the honey butter melted on it. The apple fritter was essentially a scone stuffed with apples and covered in glaze. Lord knows Sill's loves their glaze! Our sweet roll was gigantic, filling up a large takeout container, and sitting in a ton of glaze. It was very good but nearly impossible to finish! The eggs and bacon were cooked well but the potatoes fell prey to the no seasoning fate that most breakfast potatoes face and the gravy needed some salt and pepper. This is solid breakfast fare and it goes without saying that the portions here are ridiculous. Everything could be split or shared, even the half orders. But, definitely the pastries are made for multiple people. I can now see why folks line up for the place. The food is simple but well made and the value is certainly there. read more

The Yelp reviews brought me here and I wasn't disappointed. I actually had leftovers which doesn't happen a lot. Come hungry and remember your eyes are bigger than your stomach. Overpriced and crappy customer service. I used to love this place. Had the worst experience today with an old grouchy lady at the register who thought everyone was yelling at her and she was not pleasant in the slightest. The place used to be packed with people waiting to get a seat now it has fell off. read more

Came for the scones, and brunch but forgot how affordable this place was for all meals. Love the scones and the honey butter is incredible! Seated fast, service was friendly and fast. We came here for the scones. And boy they did not disappoint! There were as biggest the plate! With a gigantic scoop of honey butter. And not just any honey butter, whipped honey butter. Like an ice cream scoop right on top. The scone was warm and melted the butter and it was delightful! We also got some food to go with our dessert. I got fish and chips and hubs got a fish sandwich. Sills has entered the final stages of complete trash in terms of service, cleanliness, and organization. It is very sad to see the decline in the last 10 or so years. I have been a loyal customer and regular at sills for more than 25 years, since the old place and into the new. I have watched them decline and it saddens me and I am sure the old man is rolling in his grave watching this. today was my final straw, the service has gone downhill, we all know that, mostly due to the fact that they are losing their overall work ethic with the newer generation, but since they started closing on sundays, their regulars started moving their visits to other days. and they have now began ignoring people when they enter and stand right in front of them. Today, we entered, stood right in front of the girl checking people in, she literally looked right past us and took the people behind us. it seemed like she knew them, ok, fine, we wait for her to come back, and she looked past us again, and took the people behind us again. no greeting, no, can I put you on the list, no, can we get something for you, no do you have an order to pickup.....nothing, just complete ignorance. fortunately for us, there are dozens of options other than sills, Ramblin Roads is a great alternative and in some ways better. there are others and more popping up every week. for those of you willing to deal with the ignorance, great, but for everyone else that just wants to be treated like you should be at an establishment that has been in business for more than 40 years, try somewhere else. read more

They are famous for their huge scones with honey butter in addition to their all day breakfasts to order, salads piled high topped with delicious, freshly made dressings, sandwiches, juicy burgers, delectable dinner fare with juice, coke products, hot chocolate and coffee. I love going here for their famous scones. Penny Ann's Cafe was my first introduction to Utah type scones, but Sill's Cafe is far superior. They're only around $3 and carry the wow factor the minute it's brought to your table. The scone is huge and comes with a scoop of honey butter. I recommend getting a side of strawberry preserves to add on top of the scone. The pop of red makes it even more enticing, and it makes it taste like a funnel cake with strawberry topping. I eat my scones this way from now on. I've only been here for breakfast, and always get Dale's Breakfast because it has all my favorite breakfast items on it - eggs however you want it, hash browns with SOS gravy (think of a peppery country style white gravy), bacon, and a scone. I always get full no matter how ravenous I am. I heard good things about their lunch but haven't had the opportunity to try it yet. This is our go-to breakfast spot. Have a short stack of pancakes which is actually bigger than a large stack at any other diner, dive or chain. This place is unique, but be prepared to wait. This place was so busy but worth the wait! The staff was friendly & gave us all the time we needed to look over the menu. Come hungry because everything is served on a massive scale. The scone we ordered for the table was as large as a plate but the mistake we made was the pancakes. We ordered 2 stacks (3 pancakes each stack) thinking they would be the size of Denny's pancakes. NOPE! They were the biggest pancakes I've ever seen. They had to have been at least 12"& the prices-you really can't beat them. Hands down the food was so good but we could only eat so much. A nice spot to grab a quick breakfast specially if you are looking for a diner experience. When you arrive here early in the morning, you'll notice all the locals flocking in like piranhas on fresh meat. I couldn't blame them because this place serves some excellent breakfast food. The atmosphere was great. Plenty of chatters around and the place was completely full. That's a good sign. I arrived here with a party of 2. I ordered the sausage patty and she ordered a similar thing but with bacon instead. The waitress was really nice and extremely welcoming. She came back after a few minutes with a nice surprise: she gave each of us a scone with honey butter. It was perfectly done and it was delicious. I had no idea it came with our breakfast combo. Eventually, the rest of the food came and we devoured it quick. Sausage patty was delicious, hash was delicious, gravy was delicious and even the egg over easy was delicious. Everything fit perfectly well together. The facilities were clean. There was sanitizers all over. This place takes me back in time when diners thrived. It had that feeling about it. Nowadays, you'll only see places like this in the movies or maybe because we're just passing through town and we randomly bumped into this restaurant. Maybe it's more common. I just have a hard time finding places like this and when I do find one, I wish I live next door to it. I wish I can say I'll be coming back, but I'm not from around here. Our family has eaten at Sill's Cafe twice. Both were on return trips from Lagoon back to Idaho. With limited seating I would suggest getting here early.
