Food is delicious. Always a variety and new items on the menu. Service has been consistently good. Ambiance is very casual. The resturant is very popular.

Silver Diner is one of our breakfast/brunch staples in the area. You usually can count on good food and service. Well Usually you can. At this location the service was so-so. The food was good though and the traditional diner atmosphere was alive and well. For breakfast if you are limited in options, this is a safe bet.

Stumbled upon this spot after my son's appointment and him craving for a patty melt. A 50s style feel with a small jukebox placed at every booth. For $0.25, you can choose from a small select playlist ranging from 50s to current hits. The service was fast and friendly and the food was prepared perfectly to order. My son really enjoyed his meal and listening to some oldies. He is already asking to return! Enjoy!

A solid diner experience in the Merrifeld area. There were a lot of cute aesthetic details, such as the jukebox, dining booths, and sleek retro design. The food was alright, and the service was quick. A great option if you want to feel a bit nostalgic!

I've come to silver diner since I was child along with my father. I was sad they didn't have the chocolate banana French toast that we used to get. However, this time I decided to try the Philly omelet with potatoes and a side of fruit for some sweetness. I was not disappointed. The omelet was amazing and the halal ribeye it was made with was well seasoned. I was surprised when I found mushrooms hidden in their which added a little saltiness. Everything went well with my piping hot coffee

Lots of plates and bowls of food just left there with no one serving them.... smdh ‍

The beginning of this dining experience did not start off very well. First it took a while to get our order in and waited a while for our food but eventually we got it. My son got the tomato bisque. I didn't even know he knew what it was. He said it was good but not as good as Medieval Times!? ‍ He got his soup early. I didn't get my soup & side til he got his main course. The Yukon Gold mashed potatoes were fair but could have used some more flavor via butter or bacon! The crab and corn chowder was flavorful but not much crab (more crab juice) and a lot of corn. There was a hint of spice but the crab meat was missing. My son's flat iron steak (ordered medium rare) looked great with bleu cheese and butter topping, side of yukon gold mashed taters, fried crispy onion strings & sautèd spinach with garlic. When my son cut open the steak it was grey. Over cooked. Medium well. I had to alert our server. He showed it to the manager who showed it to the head chef. He made a face and shook his head. After 8 mins, my son got a new one with an apology from the server & manager and a coupon for a free entree next time. He cut it open and red/pink juice spilled out. It was a perfect medium rare. He ate the entire steak. He said it was juicy and flavorful. We also noticed (we had a good view of the kitchen & line) that the head chef cooked the steak. So what started off as a swing & miss was made up with a home run.

Silver diner continues to be our lunch spot. Their healthy section of the menu has a good variety of protein, salad, and sandwich selection. The lemon chicken piccata was flavorful. Portion size was on the smaller end, we ordered dessert to fill up our tummy. Service was fast, given lunch time on weekdays, there were not a lot of people to start with. The restaurant is clean, each table has a real juke box for customers to play music the old way. Will come again!

I ordered the fish and chips for pickup. The wait time was 30 minutes, which was no problem at all. My order was ready as promised, and I asked for malt vinegar, which they promptly provided. You can see from my photo that this is a very substantial meal. Three fillets, a full Caesar salad, a small side of coleslaw, and a small portion of fries. The fish was absolutely outstanding, as was the Caesar salad. The coleslaw was so small that they shouldn't have bothered. The fries were pathetic, a cold soggy mess. My recommendation: This entree is worth ordering, however, substitute the vegetables for the fries and choose something other than the coke slaw.

    Every table has one.

We had a delicious breakfast at Silver Diner. This restaurant is what we describe as an old school all American diner! Menu has all the items we love that brings us into a "vacation mode" feeling. There is abundant parking. Abundant seating indoor and outdoor as well. Food portions are generous. Taste was to our liking. Not too buttery, not too raw. California Omelette was very good. Country griddle had a lot of flavor in it. Service was on point. Our waitress was there when we needed something. Check this restaurant out if you are in this general area. You will not be disappointed.

Roach infested! On an evening after work and with my family. The server was decent, but after dirty glasses and swapped glasses. My fiancé asked me to scoot over as he saw something behind me and long behold it was a roach. Please see the picture below! Please drop a bug bomb in that place!

(I didn't remind him that my experience last time was subpar.) All that to say, we went in with open hearts and minds - and hungry bellies. Took a while to get our drinks, but the coffee was good once it arrived. Did have to ask for cream, which again l, took a little while to receive. Our orders were taken and after a while our food arrived. I found it pretty funny that my Make Your Mark breakfast, in which you get to choose the style of egg and the meat, contained the wrong meat. Clearly you don't really have any say in the matter. The sausage patties that I had ordered were not there. Instead, I noticed after the servers had delivered the food, there was bacon on my plate and no sausages. Not a big deal, but we did have breakfast for dinner one night last week, including bacon, so I had really wanted those sausage patties! However, it really wasn't worth flagging down our server who seemed non-existent once the food was delivered and I tucked in. Everything was fine, though I find it really odd that they don't season their eggs or hash browns at all. Unlike during COVID, thankfully, they do have salt and pepper on the table now. My husband began eating his sausage gravy biscuits and made a disgusted face. His gravy was barely warm. Isn't that odd? Wouldn't you think it came from a bubbling vat of hot gravy, poured over oven hot biscuits? He's rarely one to notice anything worth complaining about, but this put him over. He flagged down our waitress when he saw her next and asked if she could heat it up. She said she would just ask for a new plate to be made. Fine, though we knew that would take a while. He finally received it after our son and I were both finished our meals. No problem, I drank my coffee and we chatted while he ate. The only problem, was that it seemed to be the same temperature as the previous plate. Clearly, they are keeping the gravy barely warm. (Health safety?!) To top it all off, when we finally got the bill, which took asking for, they had put two meals of the sausage gravy biscuits. Now my husband had to complain again to get one of them removed. So, you leave feeling like you are the bad guy or the grumpy patron and it sours the whole experience. I am certain we will not return. Oh well, hopefully you have a better experience - twice is enough for us, though.

We could've gone to another establishment had we known. There were about 30 other people waiting for tables who were in similar situations. Had reservations but tables weren't leaving and the staff didn't want to rush those sitting and relaxing after paying the bill. Get it. Obviously it's a problem and they haven't figured a way to deal with it. We asked for the manager as we had kids and we were only 5 mins late and not given proper wait times . The manager has no business being the service industry. He said he was getting the table ready, though that were told that 20 mins prior. When we told him, heyelled at us and said he will deny us a table and will cancel our reservation. It was threatening and the whole place stared at his shocked at his response. For the sake of hungry kids we kept our cool, ate, and swore we'd never go back again. The food was good. The servers were nice. What horrible treatment by the manager who could've handle this so much better. Why would we want to support such a businesses that tolerates this behavior. Not going back. I'm a newer vegetarian, and I've tried falafel from quite a few places at this point and if I'm being honest, I had started to get a little turned off by it. But this place completely changed that for me. Their falafel wrap? Absolutely incredible. You can truly taste the difference. They make their falafel fresh daily, and it shows. It was perfectly seasoned, savory, and MOUTH-WATERING. Not dry, not overly heavy, just pure perfection. I'm still thinking about it, and I would go back just for that wrap alone. We also tried a few appetizers, and everything hit. The fries were perfectly crisp (not soggy at all), the Brussels sprouts were packed with flavor, and the hummus was smooth and fresh, exactly what you want. The crudités were also a great touch and paired really well with everything else and whatever homemade sauce they're using? That took everything to another level. My friend ordered a salad, and even that stood out. The beets were incredibly fresh, and you could tell that quality is a priority across the entire menu. Beyond the food, the experience itself was just as good. The ambiance is beautiful, very calming and welcoming, the kind of place you actually want to sit and enjoy your meal. The service was also top-tier. The servers were patient, attentive, and really detail-oriented. My friend has a gluten allergy, and they took extra care to make sure everything was handled properly, which we really appreciated. What really sets Naja apart is how fresh everything tastes. Nothing felt pre-made or rushed. It all felt intentional and well-prepared. If you're vegetarian, or even just looking for a solid Mediterranean spot with fresh, flavorful food and great service, this is 10/10 worth checking out. I'll definitely be back.
