Two Star is one for the room one for the other people I interact with. Sp this our first time here at this casino just to check it out. We got a play and stay package is not bad you get credit for free play and for food. So we kinda walk around just to see firts place is not big as we expected. So we decided to eat in the restaurant Red River Cafe. They did not have much of Selektion rather tell us where is it.By the way this is our first time here no clue about this place. As we sat down to the restaurant no one there but us another dinner who is already eating. It felt so uncomfortable to be there the other dinner kept looking at me ir (by the way we are asian).I don't really know what is the Deal but I let it go. 5 mins later no Server I look around and I said no one there but us and another dinner (is a couple creeper looking at us). We waited did even offer us drink as we sat down. So 5 min later Server came finally took our order we just order everything before we had to wait for awhile again. One Minute later another dinner came guess what they got ask do you want to have some drinks second later here comes there drink. And ask what order they want. One Minuten later here comes the next dinner ask if they want to drink here comes there drinks and order been ask right away. So by now you get what I am getting Same thing happened to the 3rd 4th dinner they did not have to wait for awhile. Anyway I we just drove for one hour to get good experience but still one hour and spend gas. And I felt really uncomfortable the whole time. And one more thing as I was trying to find a machine that much people so we don't get the Stare. As we approching the machine there was one Lady playing I was calling my husband with our language the Look at me so bad and left.. This is a bad first time experience..sad. When we arrived we noticed the room counters & dresser needed wiped off. In-room tablet for music & identifying hotel amenities wouldn't connect. Called front desk to report tablet not working and they said would send a technician. Never showed up. Watching TV 10pm and it stopped working, lost connection for 30 min. We visit Bellingham several times a year, I think it's time to find a new hotel. read more

my experience at this establishment was far from satisfactory. The hot tub was not clean, the sauna barely works, the wifi was unreliable, and encounters with the staff were unpleasant, including instances of racism. Overall, the customer service was poor. I had an unfortunate situation that resulted in me being banned from the casino for life with the option of after 5 years I would be able to schedule a meeting with the elders board committee to request to have the ban lifted and was given a card with the instructions of how to go about this process. I have tried multiple times and ways to contact the head of security to schedule this meeting and cannot get a single response to all my attempts to get this done for the past 18+ months. Room was spacious and clean, bathroom was nice. Shower was phenomenal! The walls are thin, you can hear your neighbors having conversations or their TV. The fitness center met needs to keep fit, it has a weight rack, cable machine and a few cardio machines. The staff had awesome hospitality!! Very kind staff! Honestly... We love to go to casinos. We got used to it when Covid happened. We thought oh, the restaurants should be will open and we can get food and have a little fun. . So... Friends of ours said- come to this one and let's get rooms for my husband's 45th birthday- (BTW-he's a veteran :)) should be fun. We drove 2hrs to get there.. We made the reservation about a month ago. When we got to the front desk to check in-there was one person in line and 3 people sitting behind computers...I waited!!??!!! Then they told me that we had only one option- ground floor- nothing else. We were kind of surprised because we said it was for a birthday -and at check in she stated-"it just filled up". So should we have gotten priority for reservations earlier then those that "just checked in?" We and said OK let's just go with it. The total of the room was $285!!!! One night and 2 queen beds!!! ( with the deposit). There was NO refrigerator-NO microwave. I brought champagne and snacks for bday, so they did bring up a mini fridge when I called. whew.... We sign up for cards at the registration-. There is no FreePlay which OK whatever. Around 5:30 we start gambling. Around 7:30 we are hungry and decide to do to dinner. We get turned down at TWO PLACES! . Told there was no more seating-ugh! She mentioned we could get NACHOS-HOTDOGS...lol. We went to the nice steak restaurant first!!!. Then they told us to go Nextdoor to the red cedar? They said...sorry not more seating tonight-as we stood outside the entrance and watched people getting seated that had pagers-(HELLO FRONT DESK HOTEL PEOPLE....PLEASE RECOMMEND AND ASK YOUR PAYING HOTEL CUSTOMERS WHAT THIER PLANS ARE FOR THE EVENING AND IF THEY ARE DINING IN THE CASINO-LET US MAKE A RESERVATION FOR YOU. If you don't you will get some lame cheap meat burger. The two regulars bartenders, DJ OR Samson will give you a boozy drink and super service. Don't order the fries with calm chowder. Horrible, the chowder gets cold very quickly and not at all satisfying. If your a gin and tonic person I highly suggest ordering the empress gin. Sweet notes with a mild lavender flavor. Great Casino and Hotel. I have never had a bad experience here. This is a quick hour drive from Vancouver ( with nexus ). I am signed up for their members card and they send me great promos each month. I have been coming with my girlfriend every Wednesday for the past months now for the great pick a wallet and scratch and win promos ! Food: - I have been to all the resteraunts and they are all good. However be warned when going to panasia you should go with a group because the potion sized are huge and who wants to eat only 1 item to themselves. - The steakhouse is one the best around. The lobster is deadly and huge portions. I recommend it to anyone! I am headed to the steakhouse on Dec 8th for a birthday celebration with friends that I am looking forward to. -The pizza joint always takes about 45 minutes for an order but is well worth the wait. Hand tossed and made to order. Casino: - always a great time with a lot of bars to try. Between 4-6pm has $2 beer for happy hour ! And outside happy hour a large draught is only $3.75. - blackjack is great but often full. The dealers are helpful and always fun. A few of them are really funny to chat with. I wish they had an extra $5 table during the weekends. -the slots seems to always be changing which is great. The atmosphere of this casino reminds me more of Vegas than others in the area. By signing up for the rewards club, I received $5 gambling credits and a $5 food voucher. The lunch buffet was small and the food was fair. Really nothing to write home about. It seemed odd that there were no potatoes to be had. Not many options for non-meat eaters. Everyone, from the front lady to the pasta prep guy, seemed quite awkward. They were sort of stand-offish. Not rude but not very friendly. Very little eye contact. We arrived here on a Tuesday and stayed one night for a quick getaway, as it was my birthday. Very pleased with the quality and comfort of the rooms. Everything is new, beds are comfortable and bathrooms are spacious. Very new modern furniture, really nice black out shades, and overall really great hotel rooms. The casino: After figuring out that all the penny slots are actually playable with more denominations than one cent, we were good to go. Having most of my experience as a gambler in Vegas, I was a bit confused by the machines at first. We joined the players club and right away I won a $30 credit to gamble...that was awesome! The negatives are not terrible - but, there is a general feeling here that the employees are probably overworked and not paid too great. A few of them were pretty slow, quiet and not eager to help right away. There's a lack of organization around ordering food at the smaller walk up cafes, people clustering and just really slow service. We were told at the pizza place to wait, that we wouldn't be helped for several minutes, while there were a few folks working making stuff and another on the phone. Kinda weird. Dinner was at red river cafe. We had an issue with the freshness of the steak we ordered, it wasn't good. All was taken care of, we were not charged for the meal, and the manager was very sorry. I'm happy with the result and I think it may have just been an off day for them. The burger I ordered later was excellent. Eat the burgers from this venue. We were disappointed that the steak house was closed on Tuesdays and Wednesday's. Maybe it's because the buffet is a big deal on Tuesday, it's $7.77....I mean - the lineup outside that place started well before the opening time of 5pm, and it was packed until closing. Another negative is something I personally get pretty upset about in general - the lack of recycling was very disappointing. There was a number of trash bins in the food areas full of everything. Nothing is sorted, and there's a lot of styrofoam. I'm not happy with this, I think it's absolutely necessary to take care of the earth, especially sad in a Native American run operation. The hotel room has the usual signage about not laundering towels, etc, but, there isn't even a separate trash for cans/bottles. The coffee in the room was fine, but, they provide these individually wrapped sugar, cream powder, stir stick things. A lot of waste happens with this system. Just have sugar packets and creamers. I went to silver creek. Been once before long ago. Now i remember why its been so long. The employees,not all but a lot are so rude. They just dont care and so it makes me think they are not happy working there. The buffet was reasonable, but the service poor. Its too bad. What frustrates me even more is that they have two keno machines and a ton of everything else. I like keno but for some reason casinos in Washington dont have keno machines. Its a shame silver reef doesnt step it up, the machines are tight and its no fun if you cant keep playing for a bit. It could be a great place. Security knocked on my door at 11:48 pm because a report that my smoke alarm went off and they were suspicious of me smoking. Then an excuse that they needed to change the battery... so one, we have nothing to smoke or ignite, and two if the battery was bad then they should've known before we checked in... he said he changed it while checking it out but all he did was wave a little wand like he was Egon from Ghostbusters... said it could've been the steam from the shower but we haven't done more than flush the toilet. No apology for waking us up, or for a false alarm, or any concession for anything. We called the front desk but he couldn't do anything... not staying here again. While have several pros, the buffet is reasonable price, and good food- nice selection of games to play,- and they have a nice club beni's specially if your a new member. AND they have Pepsi products. The cons- two of them, Number one is no self serve soda machines in the Casino, thats first time seen that in the tirbal casino's of Washington, Oregon and BC. The other con though is that most of their kiost machines dont dispense coins, it gives you a ticket. I have to give the casino 3.5 stars. I signed up for a player card and I was able to get a discount coupon for a meal AND I got free birthday dinner. Even though I had just eaten at home, I had to use my birthday meal coupon by 6am the next day, so I got a turkey club sandwich and a bowl of clam chowder from the cafe. It was surprisingly good. We even got a delicious chocolate dessert. Matter of fact, all of the desserts at the cafe were mouthwatering. I found the gift shift to be wack. There was very little merchandise and it was a waste of time. As soon as I stepped one foot inside the gift shop I pivoted and turned right back around. There are smoking and non-smoking sections inside the casino What's the point? The entire casino is filled with secondhand smoke. No non-smoking person is safe. I actually got bad vibes while in here. Something about this place was off and I didn't feel comfortable here. Smokey!!! Well we tried this place for the second time since reopened. Why yes they have expanded non smoking section, however it is wide open to the smoking section AND apparently smokers don't have to wear masks. AND they can wander around smoking in non smoking...... Therefore, the whole place stinks. We ate at Red River and on our way to get there, we had to navigate through unmasked; coughing smokers. Inside the restaurant, it smelled as though there were smokers inside. Well they were right outside the openings on the outer walls, so..... Service used to be great. Not any more. The waitress seemed totally confused about everything. WE ARE NOT DIFFICULT. We went to the Angel of the Winds two weeks ago. It was fantastic with employees constantly cleaning machines. No smoking anywhere and sanitary stations everywhere. We saw no sanitary stations at all in non smoking at Silver Reef. At least we could not find anything. Apparently smokers are highly valued at Silver Reef. We have been to the Steakhouse twice before and thought about going again as it was great. Unfortunately we will not go back and wander around coughing, unmasked smokers in order to get there. Probably smokey in there too now. Dealers were friendly, and my comps were generous, but it was just an average experience for me. It's my belief that a place this far out of the way should be doing everything they can to attract players, and I just didn't get that impression from Silver Reef. I tried out the Silver Reef Hotel for the first time on February 23rd. For a fairly new hotel, I was surprised to see the shabby condition of the furnishings in the lounging areas on the main level. Once in the room, the Furniture wasn't much better. Although the bed was clean and comfortable, I can't see much for the rest of the room. There was hair on the wall and floor of the shower, the grout in the shower tiles was black in places , and the windows were filthy ! Of course we visited the casino while we were there, and the games were extremely tight . We didn't see anybody winning . The food in the main restaurant isn't too bad, and there's a wide variety to choose from. I don't think I'll be going back read more

Our stay consisted of the Diamond Suite. At the $300/ night the Silver Reef has a monopoly over this area allowing them to charge that much and it is not even Vegas. Our suite was very clean. Comfortable bed, full bar counter, and shower with adjacent tub. I had a massage done @ the Spa. Rose gave me the best massage ever! I like that guests have access to the steam room and sauna without needing to have an appointment at the spa. I feel that the hotel leans towards the cheaper side on the food scale. The dinner buffet was nicely packed with crab legs, but not varied in the veggie selection. Breakfast also was a bit skimpy. The usual continental selection was present, but no meat? Looked nice inside until we got to the elevator and halls. Absolutely gross, hadn't seen a vacuum in days. The room was nice, but if looking for complimentary items such as a bottle of water, good luck. The real kicker is the room we were in 214, sounded like the walls were paper thin. I am an avid traveller and I love to stay and play at casinos all across Washington State and Las Vegas. I stayed at Silver Reef about a month ago and and soon after received a flyer in the mail after joining their rewards program advertising a FREE night in their hotel during the month of April. The woman I spoke to during booking asked me for my credit card informations to "hold the room". Fast forward to last week- we did not end up staying at the Silver Reef due to an emergency. I did not have time to cancel the reservation. Now Silver Reef is charging me for a free room we did not stay in. Never was I informed of a charge, given a call, and this charge was not stated prior to my stay. During my exchange with the front desk, I've spoken to 3 different employees who all have been very rude and unhelpful. They continue to tell me that I need to print a voucher, and until I present the voucher my room is not free. I was never, ever informed of any sort of charge on the room until after the fact. They suggest that I leave a message for the manager who conveniently is never in her office and calls me back at odd hours when I cannot answer the phone. I can never get a hold of anyone who can help me. All in all I was charged for a room I never even stepped foot in. Everyone I've spoken to at Silver Reef has been extremely unhelpful, unprofessional and honestly very rude. I have no interest in ever going back to this hotel and spending money in this establishment. With the endless options available to casino lovers across Washington State, there is no need to support a place that does not value their customers. Silver Reef you have lost two very generous gamblers and customers for life. I am truly shocked at the experience I've had and I hope you can learn from this to address and train your staff on how to treat your customers with more respect and class. read more

The staff perform there jobs fairly when I was present in the casino anyway and yes, according to the policies that have been established for the enjoyment of . I am not generally In the habit of writing reviews but after reading one in particular review by a "Host Player" that was obviously bitter for being banned until 2020 according to the response by The Reef. Sadly, disgruntled people advertise their anger more than those of us who do follow the policies and are not asked to leave. It is important for "us" to speak re: our good experiences.
