    Fried tofu
    Shirley C.

First time here under this management and ownership. I don't remember how many times they changed ownerships. Place is nicely decorated, updated and relatively clean. Server seats us right away. We ordered #16 and fried tofu. Pho came out quick. Tofu came out later. I accidentally knocked over my cup of water. My husband went and gets the server's attention. He came quick to help. Offered us to move to another table and he'll clean up. I apologized for the mess I made. Server brought me another fresh cup of iced water. Very nice service. Thank you. Pho was good. Nothing special. I think the rare steak is well done and over cooked. Tofu was very crispy. It came with a vinaigrette kind of peanut dipping sauce. At first it's kind of weird and "interesting", eventually we liked it. I wish they could season the fried tofu with something.

This place never fails! Everything always tastes amazing and the service is great and fast. My favorite things to get here are the spring rolls and steak pho. Once you are ready to leave you can go back to the front and pay there. They also accept Apple Pay. The ambiance here is very chill vibes and it is never too crowded. Perfect place to go if you want to lounge or even study.

Great service! I called on the phone and they were very kind and patient when taking my order. I got chicken pho to go. They gave me hoisin, spicy sauces in a small container, and siracha! The veggies such as basil and bean sprouts were also in a separate bag. It also already came with utensils. The noodles and meat came in a separate container with soup in a large Togo container. The broth was very flavorful! I can really taste the spice of a good pho broth. The chicken was on the harder side, making it slight hard to chew. I saw some seating inside as well!! Will come again when I'm craving pho in the Pomona area!

Bun Bo hue, pho with brisket and rare steak

Came on a Saturday and got seated immediately. Server was really nice and quick to take our order. Inside was clean with plenty of seating. Lots of parking in this little plaza and other shops like a bakery, boba shop, and açaí bowls! Menu seemed a bit on the pricier side compared to other pho places, but I ordered the Bun Bo Hue for $15. Bf got the Pho with Rare Steak and Brisket +$1 for large and said it tasted healthier and flavor was good! Although portion did seem a bit on the smaller side. The Bun Bo Hue could use some more lemongrass but it was pretty spicy and had a strong flavor and tomato-y taste. It came with very tender slices of beef shank, tendon, sausage, and thicker rice noodle. I didn't see the free dessert until the end but you can ask the server for a coconut jelly! We would come back if around the area :)

PhoX closed and replaced by Pho 909. New owner. Same decoration and dining. They have more menu selection. Similar Promo with Free Ice Tea with Yelp Check in. Ordered few items to go. Garlic Noodle, Pho, Sandwich, and Vermicelli. Garlic Noodle is tasty but smaller portion. Need more kick. Pho is about the same. Same smaller portion. Probably try to keep the price reasonable lower. Love the grilled pork on Sandwich and Vermicelli. Very tasty and tender. Hit the spot. Might come back and try different menu. Good option to choose for Vietnamese cuisine nearby.

My boyfriend comes here all the time for pho and loves it. He gets the filet, brisket and some other kind of meat pho. I got the lemon grass pork with rice which was so good. Came with 3 slices of the sweet marinated pork. Only a few tables inside and not good for big groups but service is fast and food is good! They have outlets if you are trying to work and eat. Parking lot and bathroom available as well.

The food was decent and the service was attentive. Prices are reasonable but not the cheapest. Lots of options to choose from but some items from the menu are no longer available. There's free parking in the shared plaza parking lot. Most of the tables are for smaller parties but there is a table in the back for larger parties (6+).

PHO 909 is a new Vietnamese restaurant that's located on temple Ave / valley blvd, at city of Pomona. It's very close to CPP. The decor and vibe is modern. There are plenty of seats. Service is okay, you order everything up front then it will be serve to you. One adult and two kids are going for quick dinner nearby on a Monday night. We order fried gyoza, it's tasty and crispy. The pho, it's good but the soup base doesn't seem that rich. It's better than average. We order mango sticky rice. Mango and dressing are perfect the sticky rice is too hard and dry. They have a promotion with free Thai tea at opening. It's average, bit water down in my opinion. Overall, they have good selections of Vietnamese food on menu, and lots of desserts too.

I saw that this place opened up recently and wanted to try it. It's located near Cal Poly Pomona and has a good amount of parking but it does get packed. I have been trying bun/ vermicelli noodles at restaurants. I chose their 34A ($17.50) which is grilled pork, shrimp paste, and egg rolls with sliced lettuce, sliced cucumber, crushed peanuts, picked radish and carrots with a fish based sauce. The portion size was ok and it tasted fresh and the meat was well marinated and grill well. I also got their grilled pork spring rolls ($7) with peanut sauce which was ok but I wouldn't get it again. The staff is nice and attentive. Place is quiet and seating can be filled up during lunch time.

    Pad Thai

The food was great for the price. I went at a slow time so it wasn't crowded and I got seated quickly. The service was nice and considerate. The ambiance was also great. I got the Pad Thai this time but I would like to go back to try their pho.

Lots of parking, quiet, lots of food options! We were in the area and found this Pho place online when looking for a late lunch spot. I am a sucker for Pho! One of my favorite foods and have tried many. We ordered 3 different pho. #12 Beef Brisket #13 Rare Brist #16 Rare steak, flank and tendon Also ordered #37 chicken chow mean and #A3 spring rolls. The pho.... it was amazing. The broth was very rich in flavor. The brisket was also very good and soft. For sauces I put their red paste sauce as well as siracha (I love my pho red and spicy!) The spring rolls were also very good, and the chow mein was our favorite! The noodles were so good and had great flavor as well the chicken! I will say, please be patient, it's a small team and they did get busy so did take some time but they were very apologetic. I understand being busy and being only 1 person seating, taking orders and all that. The server was amazing, wish I got his name. But very nice and very patient. Definitely recommend!

Very decent restaurant close to CPP. They have loyalty card for Pho: buy 10 get 1 free. The spring rolls was delicious and reasonable price: 4 rolls for $9 (sauce can be a little sweeter and thicker). Gyozas were good for $7. My son enjoyed his large Pho with tendons and rare beef. We'll be back.

Was craving something warm and soupy so decided to check this place out. Parking is easy and the inside is small but clean and welcoming. Service was great too. Got a regular sized pho, pork chop with rice, and egg rolls. The egg rolls were super crispy and flavorful. The pho was also great - the broth is on the lighter side but still comforting (only negative is the tendon wasn't good). The pork chop rice was decent too. Would come back whenever I'm craving pho and egg rolls!

The young woman working immediately acknowledged us before we even finished writing our info down and asked how many were in our party. We said two, and she told us to go ahead and start building our bowls. The concept is pretty cool and very straightforward. You grab a bowl and tongs, then walk through the different sections choosing your ingredients. They had a good variety of veggies, noodles, meats, seafood, tofu, etc. Pricing is by weight at $15.99/lb. Once you finish building your bowl, you head to the cashier where they weigh it and you choose your broth and spice level. The broth selection was surprisingly huge, around 15 options if I remember correctly. I got the Tom Yum broth mild spice, and my girlfriend got the Organic Miso mild spice. We also added jasmine green tea and white rice for $1.99 each. After ordering, they give you a table number and you can head over to the self-serve sauce station while your food is being prepared. The sauce bar had ponzu, sesame oil, soy sauce, sriracha, Tabasco, scallions, cilantro, red onion, satay sauce, shallots, minced garlic, chili powder, chili oil, and more. The soups came out quickly and were served over a live flame at the table, which was a nice touch. Both broths were excellent. Even at mild spice, there was still a pleasant kick. The broth itself had good body and flavor and didn't taste watery at all. Service was also great. The server checked on us consistently, kept drinks refilled, and was attentive without hovering. The restaurant itself is pretty small, maybe around 8 tables, but it felt cozy rather than cramped. Nice interior, comfortable temperature, clean setup, and the vibe was relaxing. They were playing bossa nova versions of 2000s and modern hits which honestly fit the atmosphere perfectly. Definitely a spot I'd come back to. Great value, fun experience, and genuinely good hot pot.

Had the Dan Dan noodles and the xlb dumplings along with the scallion pancake. The other stuff is pretty standard and tastes like how you would expect.(not a bad thing) It's all fresh and handmade which is nice. Clean peaceful atmosphere. Service is quick and friendly. Cons: luckily you have yelp and Google to find this place because it's a bit hidden away. Prices are decent, but nothing spectacular. Bottom line: it's hard to find good dumpling places close by. It was 79 degrees inside, muggy, humid, and completely uncomfortable. We almost turned around and left immediately. The place was practically empty, which honestly should have been our first red flag. We decided to give them a chance anyway. Big mistake. My colleague and I were offered water or hot tea. We both ordered hot tea. The menu clearly says in English that hot tea is $2.99. Nowhere does it clearly explain in English that you will be charged differently depending on how many people drink it. When the bill came, we were charged $5 each. Apparently, there is some clarification written in Chinese, but how are customers who do not read Chinese supposed to know that? That is completely misleading. The tea portions were not larger, not special, nothing different. Just basic tea. The pricing felt deceptive. We also ordered popcorn chicken and chili wonton soup. Both came out in tiny portions that looked like appetizers, yet the menu does not clearly label them as such. For what we received, paying over $30 total felt ridiculous. The food itself was mediocre at best. Nothing memorable and definitely not worth the price. Because of the uncomfortable temperature, confusing pricing, small portions, and average food, we chose not to leave a tip. As we were walking out, the waiter chased us outside and pressured us about the zero tip. That is completely inappropriate. Tipping is not mandatory. It is earned. Confronting customers outside over a tip is unprofessional and embarrassing. Between the heat, the questionable menu pricing, the small portions, and being confronted outside, this was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a long time. We will never be back. There are plenty of better places within the same plaza than to dine here. I don't expect this place to last long anyway.

Sliced tender ribeye sits over garlic oil phở noodles on a bed of greens and fresh herbs, tossed with a shallot tamarind sauce, topped with crispy garlic, and served with a side of their 24-hour bone broth to sip or pour over. The ribeye was genuinely tender, the tamarind sauce had a nice tangy-sweet kick, and the crispy garlic tied it all together. Added some sriracha for a little more flavor and to give it a kick. Best phở I've ever had? No. But it's a clever modern take and I left very full and very happy, which is exactly what I needed. No drink orders, no "we'll be right with you", nothing... This would've been the point of walking out, but my kids were saying they were hungry and going to another restaurant at that point would've been too late for their bedtime. I ended up walking up to a server who was about to help another table that was seated after us and said we'd like to order as no one's helped us. After finishing what he was doing, he walked up to our table with an ordering tablet and didn't say a word, just stood there staring at us. Just constant flagging down servers for everything. The workers were really nice, and the whole setup runs pretty smoothly even when it gets busy. The space itself is pretty spacious with lots of seating, so it's great for groups. It has a casual, lively feel with people coming in and out, grabbing trays, and building their meals, which adds to the overall experience.

The nikutama udon was only warm rather than hot, and the broth tasted overly salty with a slight sweetness. I added green onions and flakes, but the flakes quickly became soggy in the soup. I also ordered crispy katsu, which was actually quite fresh and tender, and helped give an extra star. I also tried a battered chickenc tempura shrimp, and battered sausage that was cold and seems left out for a while. I can't say the meal was enjoyable.
