Absolutely Horrible Experience -- Avoid at All Costs I've never left a review like this, but I feel compelled to warn others. I brought several high-end garments to this drycleaner, and not only did they come back with new stains and actual rips, but the quality of service was shockingly poor. It was obvious the machines were filthy, and the cleaning was careless. Some pieces came back completely untouched -- still carrying the scent of my perfume. After sending items back for correction multiple times, nothing changed. The same grime and damage remained. Total scam. Even worse, the owner, Jamie, himself was highly unprofessional -- he completely crossed a boundary and mistook my polite demeanor as an invitation to ask me out. I had to block him after he made me uncomfortable. The associate, Vicky wasn't much better -- making inappropriate comments about my body, which was both offensive and unnecessary. Though I could have had a field day ~ I had never commented on her appearance, but the lack of professionalism here is staggering. I've spent hundreds of dollars as one of their top-paying clients -- only to be met with arrogance and bitterness when I raised concerns. The owner suggested I "go somewhere else," clearly bitter about being rejected. I'm currently in the process of disputing charges with my bank, but realistically I should be filing in small claims court for the dresses and shirts they ruined beyond repair. The facilities are dirty. The customer service is rude and toxic. And the entire experience has been an expensive, frustrating mess. Do not give this business your time, money, or trust. read more

Don't go to this place in La Jolla. We've used them and they're rude and don't do good work. Margie particularly is rude and doesn't know how to talk to customers. We won't be using them again. They mess up clothes and don't take stains out. On top of that they're rude. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CLOTHES HERE! they ruined a 2k dress by ironing the pleate in the skirt I specifically told them not to iron. When I confronted the lady about this, she told me she couldn't do anything that it was beyond her payroll and management never answered my messages. completely unprofessional. read more

My first time taking my clothes to Silverado Cleaners will also be my last. When I came to pick up my clothes, the woman working there brought out someone else's clothes along with mine. When I pointed out the clothes weren't mine (nor was the name on the ticket), she went back and returned with clothes that, once again, weren't mine. Third time's the charm - I got all my clothes. At home, when putting the clothes away, I noticed that my cashmere/silk sweater had pieces of sequins glued all over it!!! I spent almost an hour trying to remove each piece with water, then with tweezers but the sequins were pressed into the fabric so hard that pulling them off stretched the delicate fabric and left visible marks. The silk blouses were not cleaned well and the underarm areas were wrinkled. Overall, awful experience. read more

I was always impressed with SIlverado until about 9 months ago. Since then, it seems almost every time I take a garment with spots in,. it comes back with the spots still there. I have to send the garment back at least once, and sometimes twice and sometimes the spot never comes out. I mentioned this to the staff about 3 m,onths ago, and the owner contacted me and apologized and said he was going to tighten up on his staff. However, the problem with the spots has continued and I am looking for a new cleaners. read more

This place has the WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER GOTTEN (not an overstatement). I went to this cleaners to get a zipper on my dress fixed on a Friday and they told me it would be ready on Wednesday. I went back on Wednesday and the worker there carelessly said, sorry actually its going to take until Friday, WITHOUT CALLING ME IN ADVANCE!! (mind you I had to wear this dress on Saturday) I came back on Friday, paid and walked out to only realize that the ZIPPER WAS STILL NOT FIXED!!!! I walked back in telling them that I literally paid them, waited a week for them to just hold my dress and it was still not fixed!! And on top of that, the unapologetic worker would NOT GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK and said there was NOTHING they could do!!! With this business I ended up being stuck at 5:00pm on a friday with a broken zipper, needing to wear the dress the next day!!! PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!!!! read more

Horrible service and cleaning. I took 9 items there and 2 came back in worse shape. A sweater had 2 burn marks on it with a stain ,and a white button down had a stain on the front. Unless you're a baseball player, that batting average sucks! They cleaned the shirt, the stain came out. The sweater, after 2 more cleanings, still has the burn. They said the manager would call, she had no idea of the issue after I went in a week later. I told her to have the owner call, they didn't. I said to reimburse for a new one, ( under $100), the wouldn't, but they would give me a store credit. WHY WOULD I WANT TO GO BACK?! read more

I will never go back. Nor will I EVER recommend them. I took a brand new skirt with the tags on it to them to get the clasp fixed before a trip. The girl who took my skirt sent it to a lady who does repairs she didn't know if she could do it. I left for two weeks came back they "couldn't find" my skirt. It has now been a month. The owners will not contact me they just keep saying we are looking for your skirt. It was an expensive outfit. That the only answer I continue to get is you need to give us a few days we don't know how many days but some days we are looking. It has been a month now. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BELONGINGS HERE. Beware. They laundered an expensive duvet, ignoring my requests to have it dry cleaned. They shrank it, and it was total loss for me. It was new and had never been laundered. They wouldn't take responsibility for their error. I knew what the original dimension were and they didn't offer to stretch it. Instead they lied and gave me the run around. Took a sweater in to have the zipper fixed and they said it would be ready on Wednesday (a week from the date I dropped it off). Went in the Friday after it was suppose to be ready and it wasn't ready. They said it would be the next Wednesday, at the latest. Went in again the new Wednesday and it still isn't ready. I will never use this place again for anything. It is so unprofessional - I should've gotten the item fixed for free after making four trips to pick it up. read more

I am so angry and upset as I write this. Been bringing my clothes here for about a year now. They had been doing a mediocre job but the location was just convenient for me. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago.. dropped off a shirt to get steamed only before I left for my trip. I come 2 days later to pick it up and they tell me it's not there. I got upset but I said ok. I come back the next week to pick up my shirt and the shirt is absolutely destroyed with what seems like burns stains/marks. I was devastated and upset as it was a pricey piece. I asked to have the owner call me so I can ask what happened. It has been over 10 days now and no one has called me or attempted to get in touch with me. I have stopped by multiple times and each time they say that they can't give me the owners info. They are flat out ignoring me and won't tell me why this happened to my shirt... even an apology would be nice at this point when my family has given them so much business in the past year. I am in shock at the level of costumer service and feel so disrespected. So please look for somewhere else and don't bring your business here because they do not care about you. I am going to report them to the better business bureau and will be filing a small claims case against them. read more

The BEST CLEANERS EVER! They are fast, professional, very reasonably priced and do great quality dry cleaning. I HIGHLY recommend them!!

As far as their dry cleaning abilities, they do a mediocre job, if you have delicate clothing I would take it elsewhere. However I recent took all my laundry there for the wash and fold service. I was having surgery and would be unable to do it myself, I brought my laundry in to the facility in specific bags of what I wanted washed together which they paid zero regard to as I now have pink towels and clothes that were once white, from being washed with my dark dark colors and red towels. I know understand why they offer a discount, as that seems to be the only draw they have for business as they pay no attention to detail nor do they offer any resolution to fix their mistakes. read more
