The food was terrible. Pad Thai looked like it was made three days ago, and heated and reheated to death. The seafood soup was clear broth and a few pieces of this and that, but no taste whatsoever. This was a total waste of time and money. The restaurant is small and when people talk it gets really loud in there. The air conditioning wasn't working, so they decided to open the door and prop a chair in front of it so the wind could blow right in your face. When I told the waitress, she refused to close the door. All in all, I don't understand all the 5 stars. Do yourself a favor, and eat elsewhere, or just stay home and make a couple of fried eggs. You'll be glad you didn't go here to waste your time and money. read more

I loved this place before it sold-my favorite Thai in town. I was here once a week. One of the few places I felt secure going in and eating by myself on occasion. It's a little hole-in-the wall in the back of a strip mall. The new owners have added perky yellow paint to the walls and continued the great service, without the endearing nickname of "Honey, " as the last owner would call out when anyone entered. The food was okay. The chicken satay seemed over-marinated and rubbery, but the sauce was good. The spring rolls were terrific. The salad and peanut dressing was very fresh and tasty. The pad Thai was edible, but not great. It tasted like the cook burned the oil and spices in the pan before adding the noodles and shrimp. The cook should have cleaned out the pan and started over. I would give this place another try because the service was so good and I like to help the small, family-run restaurants. I hope that this was an off-night and that the cook can get it together. read more

I read the reviews here and thought I would give the place a try earlier this week. I was, of course, called "honey" by the very friendly owner. We really enjoyed the food and spent less than $30 for 2, including 2 beers. Luckily Simi Thai is only a couple of miles from my house so I'm sure I will become a regular customer. If value for money was the only criteria it would deserve a 5 star rating because it's an eat and leave sort of place. read more

Authentic, Clean, good prices, beautiful and friendly people who know you whenever you come in and for once I can say I never have a problem with my order. Upon entering was greeted and seated. The soft drinks come in a can which exudes a metallic taste but is accompanied by a chilled mug. The decor is authentic but not too busy. This was our first time and it was a very good recommendation by our son. The red curry chicken was just the right amount of spicy. If you like it hot you will be very happy. Other dishes were panang chicken that had a wonderful taste and vegi tempura. The service was also very good. Small setting makes for home made feel. We will be back for sure. read more

went today for the first time, thanks to all the yelp reviews here. went with a friend to come check it out and i must say, it really hit the spot. the atmosphere here is definitely something different from your typical thai restaurant. it felt more homey, due to the owner being so welcoming and charming with the customers. she felt more like a mom serving her home cooked food to us. as for the food, me and a friend got the lunch special, which consists of the a salad, soup, and an entree with rice and that crouton thing with the sweet sauce. i love that peanut dressing that goes with the salad, really good. the soup was a bit hit or miss, i forgot which one it was but it was really sweet. i got the pad thai, friend got the spicy chicken mint thing, forgot the name sorry for that. both were really good, like you can tell this is really home cooked and whatnot. the price is a bit moderate which is kind of the downside for it but overall, you definitely should try to come experience this place. read more

We order from here once a week and love that they deliver! We've never been to the actual restaurant.. We've only ever had it as take out. Their Pad Thai is great. Soups are great too. We've done the Coconut soup and the veggie soup. Both amazing. My husband is a vegetarian and their tofu is great too. Thai Ice tea is the best! Heads up, when you order it as "spicy" it is spicy! I read a lot of great reviews about this place so my wife who loves Thai food had a lunch date hear...right off we were met by a very nice lady, bee is her name( not sure of the spelling ) " hi honey"...the place is very clean a good start...wife had Pad Thai and I had Kung Pao Chicken...and a side of egg rolls. .the lunch was outstanding...wife loved the Pad Thai and my Kung Pao was very good..egg rolls were so fresh and flaky lm sure they are made there...over all from start to finish a great lunch from the service to the fresh food..treat your self...we definitely will be back probably tomorrow.... read more

Yum!!! Ordered pan cooked glass noodles and it was amazing....more delicious than anywhere I've had it. Everything tasted fresh. Also, do yourself a favor and order the sticky rice with mango. Usually this place is great. Yesterday I ordered Yellow Curry Chicken Medium and Pad Woo Sen (Pan Fried Glass Noodle) - The Noodle dish had String Beans that were not cooked, just heated up so they were like wood and inedible. The medium Curry was not medium unless you are someone that gargles with habanero juice daily and the potato chunks in it were immune to my assault with a fork. Didn't see the nice lady that calls everyone honey - maybe new ownership? I gave 3 because of the many many times it has been great. read more

While shopping at Penny Pinchers today, I noticed this Thai place and had a huge "Pad Thai Attack." Having never been there before, I thought I would give it a try. I was immediately welcomed by the friendly owner and had a great Pad Thai with shrimp lunch while she called me "Honey" and joined me for conversation. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the flavor was fresh and wonderful, and there were more than adequate amounts of it including plenty of shrimp. Great food and exceptionally nice servers. The Curries and soups are particularly tasty and bursting with flavor. the only problem is the appetizers might need some more work. The eggrolls had way to thick of a wrapping and I can't really taste the crab in the crab cheese wantons but still have a great flavor to them, kind of citrusy. Love this place!!! read more

The chicken wings, soup, fried tofu, seafood, curry, etc. were plentiful and very tasty. Horrible. Didn't even get the right food? &' to top it off.. The lady who delivered the food had a attitude with me saying "If you don't tip online next time, we don't make you food &' you don't get delivery! Give tip next time." Well I was going to tip her at the door.. Guess NOT! Shitty service also, they took over a hour &' 15 mins long just to deliver our food we didn't order.
