    Lunch special and Satay

Service: owner is very friendly...here customer service is great 4/5. Ambiance: ok Ambiance...3/5. Food: we tested with 3 plates: prik king, chicken satay, and pad see ew...over seasoned with salt...not so sure if this is a authentic Thai taste...we live in Thailand and for sure, it doesn't taste like Thai food...2/5.

Service was sweet, ambiance was nice, and the food was delicious. We ordered all our basic dishes to try before diving deep. Tom Kha Kai to start - really tasty and warm. Next we had the crab fried rice and shrimp pad Thai which were both prepared so well. It tasted authentic and homemade. They do not skimp on ingredients. I shall be back to try the other dishes.

Yummy coconut water! Can't get this just anywhere!

Tables were a little dirty when we sat down...nothing a little napkin can't fix! Because the food here was fresh and very tasty! Service was ok! If I'm even in the area I'd go back!

Thai Noodles recently changed their name to Chada. I've been to this location one other time and remembered thinking it I had to go back since it the food tastes pretty authentic to me. This time I ordered the pad see ew because I was craving fried noodles and it didn't disappoint. I ate the entire thing in one sitting! the Chinese broccoli was perfectly charred, noodles weren't overcooked at all and chicken was fresh and perfectly seared. I love adding pickled chilies to my noodles so that did add an additional layer of flavor but it wasn't needed! Always have to have Thai tea to pair with your meal when visiting a Thai establishment. The Thai iced tea was perfect. wasn't too sweet or too strong of tea. Service was great. Sweetest older lady served me and my food came out only a few minutes after I ordered!

Ordered their chicken pad Thai, orange chicken and Tom Kha seafood soup. The soup was my favorite. It was delicious! When I went to go pick it up, the nice lady even offered me to try the Thai ice tea and gave me a full order of it. It was also delicious.

We came during lunch so the restaurant was a bit slow but the service was great and fast. the food also came out fast as well! restaurant ambiance was cute and clean. Small seating area but very clean restaurant.

After this I do not think we will ever come back. I truly hope that the new changes will not deter any future business. As I was typing this one item ordered came out, the fried rice, no rolls, chicken or noodles. Sad thing is our friends rolls came out when they ordered it but ours didn't....... Ugh. Best of luck. Update. We asked for the status of the orange chicken, 10 minutes later guy came back out for our friends Togo fried rice and asked again where's the orange chicken and he stated we are making it now! Ugh. We already finished the rice and noodles. Now we have to wait longer!?!? FML! Stay away from individual items and just stick with the bowls because you won't have to wait for the staff or the cook.

But clearly it was popular as people were coming in constantly the entire time we were eating. Even though the restaurant is called Yunnan Restaurant, most of the dishes on the menu were more like Sichuan dishes i.e. spicy. All of the food was super solid and portions were ginormous. My recommendation is to order 1 dish per person if you want leftovers, or order one less dish than the # of people if you want to finish most of the food. I don't handle spice very well, so we ordered a mix of spicy and non-spicy dishes. We shared the following: #1 Yunan rice noodles ($16.99) #32 scallion pancake ($8.99) #104 Chong qing fried chicken ($16.99) #107 braised pork belly with buns ($19.99) #109 boiled two items - fish and duck blood ($21.99) Given that the restaurant is called Yunnan Restaurant, we felt like we had to order one of the most popular dishes from that region, the Yunan rice noodles i.e. crossing the bridge noodles. I really enjoyed the silky smooth mixian noodles as well as the flavorful broth. The fried chicken was too spicy for me; I ate one piece and my whole mouth was on fire. Everyone else said it was quite spicy as well, so eat this in moderation unless you can really handle your spice. The 3 pepper signs next to this dish on the menu are no joke! The braised pork belly was delicious, but portions were on the smaller side for this one. Still, I enjoyed making a little bun sandwich with the pork belly and pickled veggies. The boiled fish and duck blood was also super solid. It was just a little spicy, so I was able to manage a couple pieces with the help of rice on the side. Portions were very generous for this dish. We all ate lots of fish and duck blood and still had a ton left to take home. They also have some precooked 涼菜, i.e. cold dishes, on the side you can buy for dine-in or to go. We got 3 of the meats - pork tongue, pork head, and and beef tripe, to go. Paid $16.99 for a huge box of these meats. We thought this was a steal too. Can't wait to try some at home!

We repeatedly had to find someone just to relight the grill. At the end of the meal, we waited about 30 minutes with no one coming to our table. The photos show how our table was left--uncooked meat, empty drinks, and no service. I finally had to track down our original waiter just to get the bill. I explained all of the issues, which he acknowledged, yet we were still handed the full $250 bill. I had to specifically ask for some type of adjustment, and they reduced it by only $30. We left after paying $220 for "all you can eat," and my family and guests were STILL hungry because we couldn't even get consistent service or a working grill. Extremely disappointing, especially for what was supposed to be a special celebration. We will not be returning.

It's one of those classic Simi hole-in-the-wall places that's probably been here forever, quietly serving good food without all the hype. The quality is solid. The teriyaki sauce has a unique flavor -- not the typical overly sweet chain-style sauce -- and while it caught me off guard at first, it actually works. It's different in a good way. The chicken and beef both had a nice smoky flavor, and the meats were tender and juicy. The vegetables were cooked perfectly (still fresh with a little bite), and the rice was fluffy and tasted fresh. Everything felt freshly made. Service was fast -- my food was ready in about 2-3 minutes. Super efficient. The place is clean, and the staff is friendly and focused. Great quick lunch or easy dinner spot if you're in the area. Only downside: no card payments. They take cash or Zelle. There's an ATM inside, but there's a fee, so just come prepared. That's the only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. Overall, really good experience. I'll definitely be back to try their combo with noodles next time. If you live in Simi and haven't stopped by yet, it's worth checking out.
