I bought a 2013 Beta 520rs from them in Sept. 2013. Not many Beta Dealers around with a 520 in stock so it was them or an outfit in the San Diego area. The guy I talked to in San Diego quoted me an OTD price $400 less than at SVC. Because of the extra time, gas and overall inconvenience I went to SVC first. I dealt with Duane who went $200 less than their original OTD quote. I love the bike! Beta calls it "The Play bike". A perfect description for it. I've been riding motorcycles since 1967 in junior high school. I've had many great bikes, Triumph, Greeves, CZ, Husqvarna, Ossa, Yamaha, Beta, Gas Gas and lots of Hondas. I would say the Beta is a great play bike. At the moment I have a Honda CRF 450x, Beta FSR 450 and the Beta 520 RS. The 520 is relatively light and nimble with good low end power. The riding position is well balanced. The suspension is fairly plush for trail riding and fire roads. It's a little soft for fast off roading but still works good. The Bad: After only a few hours of riding, the rubber hose between the water pump and radiator failed. It pissed into my riding boot and scorched my leg. Turns out the factory install was flawed. The hose was too close to the muffler and gave up. Fortunately I was only a half mile from a trail head and made it back before running out of coolant. I parked my bike inside a toilet stall and locked the forks. Rode double up on my buddy's bike with no pegs for my feet back to town. Got my truck and went back to retrieve my bike. My wife was pissed off that my $10,000 bike left me stranded in the forest. The Good: I called SVC, Duane said bring it on in and we'll take care of it. I told my wife and she said "bullsh*t"! She called back and the next thing I know the Owner is driving to Santa Barbara to pick it up, not bad. Next I called Beta USA in Paso Robles and talked to their rep. I can't remember his name but should as he was awesome. He apologized for the trouble I had with my bike and told me that he would send a upgrade silicone hose kit and a radiator fan to SVC to install on my bike. When it was ready the owner brought it back to Santa Barbara asap, nice!! My wife had told them I had bought the bike for my 60th B-Day and had planned a trip that next weekend. SVC made it happen! I would highly recommend that anybody looking for a new motorcycle check out Simi Valley Cycles. At first I was a little skeptical that I could get a price that would compete with some of the larger shops in the area (many to choose from in Los Angeles) but I wanted to purchase here since they are my local dealer. After stopping in a couple of times I was impressed with the slightly laid back but helpful nature of the place. Thank God, no pushy salespeople telling you whatever they think you want to hear to sell you the bike they are trying to get rid of. How refreshing. Long story short, after deciding on a Triumph Daytona I sat down to talk numbers and was pleasantly surprised. I was offered a fair price for my trade-in (first time that's ever happened) then after a very quick and easy negotiation with only one back and forth, and absolutely no bullying, we sealed the deal amicably. I just have to tell someone how great this place is!! After doing my research on Touring Motorcycles I drove all around Ventura County, this weekend, to find a dealer that I could trust in a long term relationship and it turned out to be my home town store. Joe greeted me at the door and helped me with the purchase my first motorcycle. Joe was very knowledgeable and put me at ease, unlike other dealers in the area. I was referred to SVC by a good friend so I just took my new old 07 GSXR in for a number of issues to get looked at. After being stressed out about all the possible things wrong with it I received a call from the service dept. regarding results from diagnostics and safety inspection. They did a great detailed inspection did the maintenance on the bike at a great price and were also able to save me thousands of dollars by having the great mechanics address and adjust a number of issues without having me make a lot of unnecessary purchases. The over all experience was great my bike is safely and faster than ever back on the road. Totally a night and day comparison from the condition I had dropped it off in. I'm am very satisfied and they have a life long customer with me and I'm sure with anyone who brings there business to the SFC shop. I bought my first motorcycle from them yesterday. A 2017 GSXR 1000. I talked to both Rick and Kevin over the phone and they gave me a price of over $2,000 under what my local bike shop was offering. So we had everything set up over the phone easily and I drove 5 hours from Sacramento to Los Angeles to buy the bike from them. They knew I had to have a quick turnaround to get back to Sacramento for work and they made it happen. I was there Sunday morning when they open their doors and Kevin was there early. He had me in and out and on my way with my new bike. We signed papers, I test rode it and they had it loaded in the back of my truck in 45 minutes! These guys are awesome. He called me when the first one arrived and I picked it up. The transaction was super smooth, no hidden markups or games. They charged no more than other dealers for the normal delivery and prep. I've purchased two bikes from SVC within this last year. Both times my sales person was Brandon. He has been extremely knowledgable and has helped me make the right decisions. My first bike from them was a Triumph Thruxton. A perfect bike for around town and caynon slicing. I just went back looking for a larger bike appropriate for longer trips. I was thinking about the Speedmaster, but after describing to Brandon about my immediate plans he suggested the TBird. I did some research and he arranged a test ride. I loved it, but wanted it in Black. He worked tiressly finding me one within two days so I could take my vacation and ride. I have to say these guys are the best. We where buying two 2018 Yamaha Kodiak atv's. We called around several shops and got prices. Not only did they give us the best price BY FAR but they also gave us great service. We live about 100 miles away from them so we wanted to deal with someone that was on top of things. After we committed to buy, the salesman continually emailed me to let me know when both arrived at their shop/when they where serviced and ready to go. There was no runaround like I received at two other shops about not getting prices right away. The sales people are extremely helpful. Great price---great people. Cal. to respond to my email requests for information; availability and pricing in a quick and polite manner. Ric wrote me up and Kevin got me out the door.
