Cannot speak highly enough of Simi's. The customer service here is exceptional- our waitress was so kind and went out of her way to check up on us. It was our first time here and we seemed to be the only customers they didn't know- everyone who came in they treated like old friends. The restaurant has an unassuming exterior, but the interior is nice and clean and pleasant. And the food! Fantastic. Portions sizes are crazy and the food is absolutely delicious. First time here and loved all 3 dishes we had. Everything tasted decent and our server Ping was very nice. I saw her checking on all the tables and joking with customers just like they're all her friends. Great personality! This place is more like an Americanized Asian restaurant. Most of the people I saw were non-Asians. But I'm glad their food tasted real Asian to me. Especially the beef chow fun, tasted just like home style (Canton, China)! Simi's is about a mile from us so we frequent often. We sometimes do pick up through Grubhub (which is always fast!) but we decided to eat in house tonight. The people are extremely friendly and accommodating. My husband has crohns and can't eat specific foods and they were more than happy to tailor his needs to the food. I got my usual, and always amazing crab rangoons and vegetable lo mein. They give a generous portion of crab rangoons, I believe 10 (usually it's 6). My husband got the combination lo mein without veggies and said it was delicious as always. We'll be coming back here for sure! read more

I was very pleasantly surprised by the service and the atmosphere. The inside is very clean and they have some drinks/snacks for sale. I came around 5:30pm on a Saturday and it was not very busy. I felt very relaxed, not rushed to finish my food at all. Service was amazing, our server was so sweet. I got the Shrimp Pad Thai, which I thought was not bad as a noodle dish, but it didn't really taste like authentic pad thai. It was missing the wok flavor and I felt that it didn't have much of a strong tamarind flavor. It didn't come with lime and was not very spicy. I did enjoy it as a shrimp noodle dish, it was kind of saucy and sweet, but I don't think I can say it had the authentic Thai flavors. I enjoyed the green onion and the shrimp was nice and plump. My boyfriend got the Beef Pho, which I also did not think was very authentic. It had a strong sesame oil flavor and was lacking in the pho spices like star anise. He enjoyed it for what it was, but it's definitely not your traditional pho. I don't think this is the place for you if you want authentic flavors, but the dishes are not bad for what they are. What I really enjoyed here was the service and the atmosphere. It was very clean, relaxed, and friendly. I ordered 3 items off of their menu. I ordered Pho, Vietnamese Pork Spring Rolls and Vietnamese Summer Rolls. I received the Pho. I received PORK EGG ROLLS AND CRAB PUFFS??? I informed the delivery service and received a refund for the wrong items sent. I really wanted the Vietnamese Spring and Summer Rolls so I called the restaurant and questioned why I received the wrong items because I wanted to reorder but wanted to make sure I received what I ordered (AGAIN) When speaking with the woman, she kept telling me that they don't make EGG ROLLS. She kept arguing with me about it even when I told her I had photos, I finally got so infuriated I hung up. You are greeted upon entry.. always a good sign . We were a party of 6 and we were seated in the middle of a ten table or so restaurant. The place was nearly full to capacity by 1pm so that's another good sign . Water came instantly and it wasn't even toasty outside. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu, the ingredients and how to modify it to accommodate our tastes and diets. ( gluten free, veggie forward, kosher etc etc) She made substitutions and suggestions which were spot on, and knew how to help us make the best choice. I had the chow fun noodles with vegetables and it came with a dark sauce, likely sor sauce based and lots of crisp stir fried broccoli zucchini carrots onions... etc. it was ample portion for one hungry soul or two following appetizers. My other friends had beef and broccoli , chow fun gluten free which looked awesome ( no soy sauce but fish sauce). Might go for that next time. There was an orange chicken order, kung pao beef and so on. Everyone loved their dish an we had a few to go boxes as well. The walls had photos of their food plates, I would have loved something more artistic or even black and white photos of countryside. The outside of the restaurant is very plain so I really wasn't expecting much. The inside of the restaurant was much nicer than I expected. The staff were all very nice! They had a seated and served so quickly! They kept trying to sell us more and more food, which was actually kind of funny. The food was all right. It wasn't as good as we were hoping. We went here because our normal pho go-to, Pho Leo, was closed that day. The staff here was super nice and helpful. However, all the food was served in plastic and styrofoam to-go containers which defeats the purpose of eating at a restaurant, and it will likely all end up in a landfill. The food was good... pho soup was tasty. Beef chow fun was good and sweet and sour pork is ok. My son didn't like the S&S pork since it was heavenly battered. I will come back for the pho and we will have to try other dishes. Still TO GO wear but they are good size portions. Not a lot of choices of seafood.
