I am writing to share my concerns about the walk‑in x‑ray service at your Kyrene location. I have visited this facility several times because it is the closest to my home, yet I have repeatedly been redirected to other locations despite arriving within posted hours and being told that walk‑ins are accepted. On multiple occasions, including earlier today during my lunch break, the front desk informed me that the clinic was too busy and advised me to go to the Ahwatukee location instead. After work, I returned to Kyrene at 4:28pm. There was only one person ahead of me, and the clinic was still open for another 30 minutes. However, I was again told that they had already taken their "last patient" for the day and that I needed to go elsewhere. I then drove to the Dobson location in Mesa, where I arrived at 4:47pm. I checked in, made my payment, and had my x‑ray completed by 5:02pm. The entire process took only a few minutes, which made it even more confusing why Kyrene could not accommodate me under similar circumstances. I understand that staffing levels and workflow can vary, but the inconsistency between what Kyrene advertises and what patients actually experience is concerning. If walk‑ins are not consistently accepted or if there is an earlier cutoff time, clearer communication would help prevent unnecessary travel, time lost, and frustration. I am sharing this feedback in hopes that the clinic can improve transparency around walk‑in availability and ensure that patients receive consistent and reliable service across all locations. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I showed up on a Tuesday morning when they opened at 8:30 AM. There was no one there, but I still had to wait 30 minutes for them to call me back. My doctor had sent an electronic order over the afternoon prior. At first, I was told that the x-ray technician wasn't there that day but then she figured out that they were. They did not use my current order that my doctor had sent over. They used an order that was in the system from two years ago from a different doctor. I tried to get them to change it over the telephone, but they have outsourced their customer service department to India so it's impossible to get anything done. Just getting them to send it to my current doctor was a chore. I had to call my current doctors office to get them to call SimonMed and give them the order again verbally over the telephone. I then emailed Shannon, the girl who works at the front desk at SimonMed THREE times and she never once returned my email. She has no clue what she's doing. I watched as other customers came in for their appointment and were told that that technician wasn't in that day, but no one let the customer know. I would highly recommend that you go to a different imaging place. This place just does not have what it takes to run an efficient, competent and customer service, friendly office. read more

Overall experience: excellent Service I got: Ultrasound Ultrasound tech: very kind, experienced and Knowles able, and quick. Location: there was plenty of parking, area is in a business area and the sign was easy to see to find them. Details: I never been to this SimonMed location. The people working here were very kind. I got checked in pretty quick and knowledgeable. I had a copay of $150 and I asked about it. The lady in the front desk explained to me that it was because I haven't met my deductible yet which made sense. When I got brought to the back, my ultrasound tech , Aurora, was very kind, very knowledgeable, and experienced. She was quick and overall such a great person. I can tell she had a lot of experience and has done it for a while since she knew where to look and scan. And did it very swiftly. If I ever need another ultrasound in the future and she's still working there, then this is my place to go. read more

This is an update of an earlier review. I said I'd never go back, but I was a sucker. Two separate times, now. Twice arriving early - first person in the office, for an MRI and X-ray. Twice - waiting for one and a half hours at least - to then be told the MRI or X-ray machine is broken. Told to 'go to another location.' The first time, I did that. I went to the Ahwatukee location on Chandler Blvd. The room was PACKED. The two women at the desk were the rudest, most unhappy women I've seen. Told me to wait....and wait.... and wait. I returned then at 9:00 pm for the MRI. BUT THIS TIME I REALLY GIVE UP ON SIMON MED. There are other choices. 1) WHY DO THEY NOT ALLOW AN APPOINTMENT FOR AN X-RAY?! I went very early so that I could get it done when no one was in the office but they took in appointments first anyway. So do I simply wait all day until all the scheduled procedures get done? THAT'S RIDICULOUS! 2) WHY DO THEY NOT MAINTAIN THEIR EQUIPMENT?! The last time it was an MRI machine. This time an X-ray. Obviously NO investment in updating or maintaining the very key equipment THEY need to do your work! 3) WHY DO THEY CONTINUE TO TAKE UP SPACE IN THE IMAGING INDUSTRY, WHEN THEY CAN'T GET THE JOB DONE? (and I'm dumb enough to hope for better.) BTW, I was not alone in that waiting room. A couple was there from out of town trying to find a place to go. Others in the waiting room told them, "don't go to Dobson! It's terrible." "Don't go to the one in Ahwatukee. The people there hate their lives." Several alternative imaging centers were suggested to this bewildered couple. Also, I will be writing this review for Yelp, and posting it online in several places - so what happens in the waiting room at Simon Med - DOES NOT STAY THERE. Stop reading reviews and contact your insurance company to see what other imaging centers you can use, especially if stat. This review is all to do with scheduling and trying to communicate with them. The overseas call center is ridiculous. Just getting to a person is a process and time consuming. After scheduling an appointment I received a text cancelling my appointment. I called back and told them I would pay cash if necessary and they rescheduled. I then got an automated voice message canceling AGAIN. (first text,, then robocall). I called back AGAIN and the "agent" was difficult to hear, understand, and there seemed to be a delay. In addition, before asking my name or birthday he said my appointment was rescheduled, when I asked for what day and time he said he would need my information, he didn't bother looking it up. Sorry this rating goes against this particular site, there is no way of rating the overseas call center on it own that I could find. read more

This is a very simple review of Simon med on Kyrene, I had an appointment today at 1:35 PM, I showed up at 1:10 PM early enough to make sure that all my paperwork was done and that if for some reason I could get in earlier I was there. When I walked in the door and walked up to the front desk, the lady sitting behind the desk, asked what I was there for, I said a CT scan on my ankles. Without even blinking, she looked at me and said not today our tech called out sick. At 7:53 AM this morning I received a text message confirming my appointment, not once during the day since they opened, and they knew that their tech was not there. Did they attempt to reach out to me to cancel or reschedule my appointment. Now this isn't the first time this week this is happened, Simon med booked me at a location that couldn't do the CT scan in the first place. They canceled my first appointment rebooked it for two hours later only to cancel it a second time and say oh that location doesn't do CT scan. So they booked me at the Kyrene location, and as I said, I walked in and was told the Tech didn't show up. This has to be the worst medical imaging company ever, they could have their tech drive to my house pick me up and take me to their location for my CT scan and I would refuse. My time is valuable also. Teach your receptionist and your call center people to know what they're doing know how to do it and make sure that they just don't sit there and look pretty with their tits hanging out. If I'm a patient or if a patient reads this stay away from Simon med. My rating is -0 !! read more

I strongly advise others to think twice before using SimonMed Imaging due to their highly questionable billing practices. Here's our experience: Over two years ago, we were charged for an imaging service. After our insurance processed the claim, we were responsible for only a small remaining balance. However, SimonMed overcharged us by $243--and despite numerous attempts, we've yet to receive a refund. Their billing department has repeatedly provided misleading explanations, including claims that the funds were applied to procedures that never occurred. We've been told multiple times that a refund check would be mailed, but it never arrived. Most recently, when I went in for a new imaging appointment, I was told I needed to pay a co-pay--and that they could not apply the $243 they owe me toward it. This has been a frustrating and disappointing experience. I urge others to proceed with caution when dealing with this company. read more

Sam is the guy that did my MRI today and he was amazing! He made sure I felt comfortable and hyped me up since I'm super claustrophobic and had to get an MRI of my head. Best experience I've ever had at a SimonMed facility! read more

Had an overwhelmingly positive experience with this particular SimonMed location today. Kudos to the staff for their professionalism, customer service, and helpfulness. Will definitely go back for any future needs. I can't stand these offices that just waste customers time. Had an 8:30 am appointment, they said to be there 15 minutes before, arrived at 8:12, door was locked. Heard the door unlock at 8:15 but no staff was there. Staff member walked in at 8:20 with her iced coffee. She had to get her computer up and running. 8:30 she finally checked me in and gave me paperwork to fill out, their online patient portal is a joke and never works for me. 8:47 she says they have no MRI Tech today! From booking my appointments over the phone, the check in with the receptionist to the actual labs with the technician, it's always a pleasure with SimonMed and the wait is never long with in the wait room or actually getting your labs back. They tell you they won't make appointments for X-rays but they won't check you in until they enter you into the system but yet there's only one person and she hasn't entered anyone into the system yet and I've already been waiting for two hours and now she tells me once she puts us into the system it's another 2 hour wait. I had a scheduled MRI/Ultrasound at this location at 10:30 and got a call at 10:10 stating there machine wasn't working since this morning. They called the Simon MED in Chandler and confirmed I could get in at 12:15 and earlier for the ultrasound. I arrived at 12:00 and they were able to get me in for Ultrasound but then said I was double booked and they couldn't get me in until maybe 1:45 pm. I have had nothing but issues at Simon Med, constantly overbooking and having to wait way past my appt. time, not having availability at closer locations. The front desk staff at multiple locations don't seem to communicate or understand how to book appointments. I can only imagine the Rad techs and other doctors at the location get extremely frustrated at constant delays. Locations need training in customer service and time management. They should be contacting customers to inform them of delays prior to arrival. Unfortunately they are only choice in town, so I just need to block my day to anticipate screw ups. read more

Made a 10am appointment this morning at this location after the Ahwatukee location canceled due to their ct machine being down. Waited an hour and a half with an appointment! No explanation. Went up to the receptionist who was doing nothing but making personal phone calls for everyone to hear. Watched the tech leave to get coffee and still waited. I was patient thinking a certain tech was needed for ct scan. Nope. Coffee guy came and got us after he had taken the whole waiting room ahead of me. Receptionist said they were waiting to get my insurance verification? That had already been done at the Ahwatukee office so I think she was feeding me crap. Get your shit together! read more

Booked my appointment online last minute this morning and got a same day appointment. That was huge for me since i do work in healthcare and it is really hard for me to get a day off. The worst experience ever. I scheduled an appointment for 10am because my wife had broke her hip and I needed to get my knee MRI d. At 10:30 I went to the front desk and said I had a 10 am appointment. I was told that they were running late. No kidding. At 11am I went back up and finally at 11:15 I got called to the back. The tech explains we had to call your Dr. because we don't have that type of MRI machine at this location. Long story short. They scheduled in a place with the wrong equipment and then at 9:30 when I checked in she obviously didn't notice that the order could not be filled at that location so I had to reschedule at another location. I a similar incident with this company years ago and I will never use them again. Just look at all the Yelp reviews. Barely rating a 2 to 3. Just brutal. Management needs to fix these issues. read more

This business is HORRIBLE?? I've been trying for two days to get in for an Xray. They don't answer the phone and leave you hanging for hours. If you do reach someone they transfer you and likely hang up. You can't schedule an XRAY and yet trying to walk in the sign on the window says NO XRAYS. You can have no contact with the actual offices and are always routed thru centralized scheduling and the people manning the phones all sound like they started yesterday and appear to be totally clueless. I am forced to give one star but I would like to give zero arrive 15 minutes early for an appointment, front desk said oh I'm sorry you're supposed to be at the Dobson office - as I had faith I drove to the Dobson office. At the Dobson office she called me by a different name and said oh you're early for your 130 appointment no I said my appointment was at 12:45 looked me up in the system sent me back to the Kyrene office stating my appointment was actually at the place I originally started. I get back to the Kyrene office where they proceed to say I don't know what you're talking about you're at the Dobson office again she called over to the Dobson office and then she gives me a different address and says no you have to go here so I've now been three places no apology let's see how long I have to wait for my appointment that was 45 minutes ago. read more

I scheduled an abdominal ultra sound 2 weeks ago via the website and I noticed I needed to fast before the exam at 5 pm. I started fasting at 10pm last night and get a call at 11am the day of my appointment that they had to reschedule for another day before 11:30 since I had to fast. WHY WAS I TOLD THIS 6 HOURS BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT? I had switched my schedule at work and everything. They also moved my appointment to a different location. I just got an automated phone call that sounded exactly like the ones threatening dire IRS consequences, and it said if I didn't pay my bill, I am being referred to collections -- and it's only been a little over a month since the statement date. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE from person at front desk (MELISSA).I was there for a X-ray which they ONLY do on a walk in basis. She could not locate the order which the doctors office had faxed. I gave her the office number to call to locate and sat in the lobby. 30 minutes went by while I heard her making personal phone calls talking about shower curtains, puking and other things not related to patient care. Finally I went and asked if she had located the order and she replied no but she was looking at the online fax system. At that point I called the doctor myself and was able to give my phone to MELISSA so she could get the order verbally. I was in the lobby for 50 minutes for an X-ray that took 2 minutes. I asked the X-ray tech if there was a supervisor that I could report the slack work to and he informed me that there was not. I'll avoid Simón med in the future as this is now the 2 cd time I've had a poor experience. read more

The doctor seemed a little bit bummed that his schedule was thrown off by over booking and slow turn around. If I had only interacted with the doctor preforming the MRI I would have given a 5 star. But I give the 1 Star to the man boy behind the desk at reception. I spoke to the billing department on the phone 2 hours before my appointment and they said total I should be billed is $115 since I had already met my deductible. This little prick, was trying to charge my $279! After I told him the amount I was told, he said he would call. He called, and I went in and got my MRI, when I came back out I asked if he had gotten more information. He said "I was on the phone on hold for 20 minutes." I asked if he had talked to anyone, he said no. I imagine the second I went into the MRI he hung up and did not even try to help. When I was there I over heard others getting billed a high amount, and were surprised as I was that it was much higher than it should be. This kid is ripping people off. And he does not care at all. He is smug the whole time. Very unhelpful. Again, doctor/ the guy doing the MRI was awesome. read more

I came here and the clinic opens at 8.30am....and then they told me that CT scan will not happen as they don't have a technician available for that location on that day..... this is really frustrating and no one is even bothered for wasting my time.... read more
