Ugh! I generally really like this facility but today was not so professional. I had a 4:45 appointment and received a call that there had been cancellations and could I come early ( any time after2). I did hurry in and get here by 4. No thank you but rather a rush as the employees were ready to go. I stopped at desk on way out, but only found purses and staff preparing to leave. If the 4:45 appointment in not working, perhaps a change should be made in scheduling? I did not feel valued or well cared for today. I was being quoted $962 for a foot xray from Valleywise Health which I thought was egregious so I called Arizona Diagnostic Radiology and they got me in same day for an xray for $75.28! The people over the phone (Harvey and I forgot the other representatives name but he had an accent) helped me out a lot! When I came in for my appointment I was taken back for the X-rays by Marlyn. Marlyn was one of the nicest people I ever met and he treated me like a human not a customer. His smile lit up the room, we laughed together and to be frank im sad the appointment went to fast because he was a great person to talk to! I walked out of there feeling very happy not only that I got the xray taken care of for a reasonable price but also because I got to meet Marlyn and he made my day a lot better. He deserves 5 stars! read more

Update: They went from a 4 star to a 1. Please see first review, and then this is the reason for my 1 star currently. After my mammogram, my results were sent to my doctor and it was recommended that I get an ultrasound. I received and email from Arizona Diagnostic Radiology that they received an order from my doctor requesting it so I could call and make an appointment. The little girl that I spoke with (and I say that because thats exactly how she was acting- immature) was snippy, confused and didn't understand what I was saying or what she was looking for. Multiple time she was silent on the phone right after I asked a question. Weird. Simply rude, unprofessional and a smart ass. Not a place I want my healthcare in their hands or to fork over money to with employees like that. She kept saying she didn't have an order for me, I asked why would I receive the email saying you guys received one, and that my doctor office also told me they sent one. Then she finally says " oh I have a verbal order". I said so my doctor called you guys and said to do the ultrasound, that doesn't sound right, usually its an order sent?" She said "thats what a verbal is..." I said you are being very unprofessional, and she said I'm not arguing and hung up. Really Arizona Diagnostic- this is the type of person you employ and I'm supposed to feel confident with my healthcare in your hands. Its a shame- guess I'll be back to Banner Imaging at least they are friendly, know how do to correct billing and don't hang up on people. Staff is very friendly and efficient. Initially when I spoke with scheduling to book my appointment , scheduling, although nice, didn't listen or do well with scheduling what I was asking for. But I went to the office the day before my appointment to clear things up and they were helpful, and made the corrections. So I am pleased with the care they offered and everything was correct this morning at my appointment. read more

Went their today on order from my Doctor for an MRI. The front desk ladies were pleasant and professional. When I got called for the MRI, the two men for that were outstanding. Super helpful with clear and concise instructions. Not sure about all the bad reviews. I am super critical about customer service and communication. They were all great! Would happily go back to this location for any needs! read more

Horrible service and business practices from the moment I called to my daughter's appt time for an MRI. First, their front desk schedulers do not know what they're doing - scheduled my daughter's appt incorrectly for a foot MRI when she needed bilateral knees. Second, their insurance people do not know how to properly obtain a pre-authorization from insurance. Had so much issues that I just opted to do self pay so I wouldn't have to deal with their stupidity. And lastly, I scheduled first available for a 6:3am appt - I got a text at 6:05am when I was already on my way saying "sorry, our tech couldn't make it in so we're canceling your appt, please call to reschedule" WHAT A NIGHTMARE. I know customer service is dead pretty much everywhere in this world but this is probably the worst I've ever seen. Places like this should not be operating. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I had an appt at 3 but they asked me to arrive at 230 for paperwork. So I arrived at 220 and by 310 I was questioning why I was not being seen. There were 2 people before me and they were seen and gone. The front secretary told me they had not forgotten about me, the worker was just running behind schedule. Then at 320 they explained to me that the table that the Xray was done on was not a FULL LENGTH table, which they needed for my type of Xray. And I asked her "You are just finding this out now!! Why didn't you come and tell me this earlier so I wouldn't have to sit here all this time, much less WHY did you even Schedule this appt and I wouldn't have driven out here!!!" read more

I have been going here for my DEXA for many years. Comparing my previous Dexa to the current one is very important for me. The report came back to me COMPARISON: NONE. They don't pickup and answer the phone there. I just wish the person responsible to read and make these reports would do their job. Of course there is a comparison it appears they just didn't want to do it. So far I have not received a call back. This has caused me grief as I have an appointment soon with my GP and this information would help me decide what to do next in my healthcare plan. They should always complete the comparison. It was done on the exact same machine and place. Please do your job better. read more

Straight to the point, my wife went to Simonmed, which is suppose to be the best, to get an MRI done. The radiologist who read the report didn't report the Tarlov cyst. But Arizona Radiology reported the cyst. Keep in mind this is saving my wife. If AZ radiology didn't report this cyst we'd be having to deal with ignorant doctors who keep telling my wife nothing is wrong and they don't know what's causing the debilitating pain. For whatever reason it seems the medical community is VERY ignorant in regards to cysts. Thank GOD for the radiologist who read my wife's report and actually made note of it. Without that we'd not have this knowledge and we'd be at the mercy of infuriatingly ignorant doctors. And being ignorant isn't the problem, that's understandable. It's their refusal to even entertain the possibility of something outside of their textbook diagnosis. read more

Empty waiting room when we arrived. Now 8 people are waiting. The appointment was set for 1:45. Got here 30 mins early as asked to "fill out a paperwork" (get asked questions for the computer database.) Asked at 2:15 what was the hold up? "You will be seen shortly" was the response. Seems pretty typical of this place. Definitely be prepared to wait and wait and wait...Oh my goodness, the waiting. Bring a book, find some nice articles to read online or write a Yelp review! I just came from my annual Bone Density test and mammogram from Arizona Diagnostic Radiology group llc - Tempe AZ. My uber driver was early so when I arrived it was closed because my appointment was first thing in the morning. A staff member, Dena (spelling?) came out and offered for me to come in. It was like 45 minutes before my appointment so she was very early and saw me reading my book standing up and let me in. She was so friendly she warmed my heart and made the what usually is not so fun experience so much better. i came in early and it seemed to please the office and the tech, i was given a pill at 10am and told to come back in an hour. i did so and the had a nuclear infusion and was told to come back in 2 and 1/2 hrs. i did so but the tech was on a personal phone call for 45 min. i got the shot and was in the scan for 45 min. worst treatment i've ever had. they did not take into account my crohns or cervical stenitis, could barely get off the table. also this was not the protocol i was advised.no, read more

Where do I start? When you walk into the facility, you are greeted only with a sign that instructs you to sign in and sit down. The receptionist is not very friendly and does not acknowledge anyone when they arrive. In the waiting room, there was a huge television which happened to be turned (loudly) to trash television (The Wendy Williams Show). My appointment was at 10:00AM but was not called in to see the radiology tech until 10:30AM-no explanation. Once I was called in, the radiology tech was professional but had a student with her. I felt as though I was in a training facility rather than a professional facility. When the tech completed the first portion of the ultrasound, she handed me some paper towels so that I could clean the ultrasound gel off of my own body (is this normal??). During the ultrasound, the tech explained absolutely nothing to me while the procedure was taking place. Finally, the front desk was unable to offer an itemized bill, only a tiny credit card receipt. When I called the billing department, they said that it would take a couple of weeks to produce an itemized bill. I would not recommend this facility. read more

Biopsy. 1. I was told WEAR LOOSE CLOTHING. I really needed a button-down shirt because after this butchering is done, arm cannot be lifted in any direction for 7-10 days!! 2. EAT A LIGHT MEAL. I REALLY needed a heavy meal. Cannot lift arms for 7-10 days! I really needed to fix food to last for the 2 weeks after this butchering was completed. 3. WILL NEED Tylenol for the pain. TYLENOL is a fake pain reliever. It never touched the pain after the butchering was done. it doesn't even relieve a headache. Tylenol is like taking a placebo! 3. Don't go to work for the next 3 days. Cannot use arm for 7-10 days. The wound (s) can re-open by moving! 4. CAN drive AFTER procedure. NO, cannot drive after the butchering is done! It's TOO PAINFUL to use the seat belt. The seat belt causes TOO MUCH PAIN TO THAT AREA! Driving PULLS THE SKIN, CAUSING EXCRUCIATING PAIN!! Had to drive way below the posted speed limit, and use the curb lane. It hurt to even breathe after the butchering was done!! 5. NUMBING SOLUTION! It travels to the arm on the side where they butcher the area. It is impossible to use the arm for driving. Cannot even open a bottle of Tylenol. Took 2 hours after the butchering for the numbing to begin to break up. 6. Was NOT told-- DO NOT get the skin wet where they butchered me. The wounds RE-OPENED when the skin gets wet! It took longer to heal! After 2 days I learned to cover them to take a shower. 7. BANDAGES. They take at least 15 minutes to apply bandages! These bandages get meshed in with the skin, making it almost impossible to peal off. 8. I used 1 whole day to NOT use my arm so the pulling of the skin would not re-open the butchered skin! BIOPSY MACHINE=Belongs in a hospital setting so they can administer MORPHINE during the "procedure." They only apply a NUMBING SOLUTION to the area. The pain is as bad as being awake during surgery! A HIGH DOSE of some kind of a pain killer is needed directly after and for the next 7-10 days. read more

I was in a motor vehicle accident recently, was referred to this place. Front desk staff isnt very friendly, and I have never had an MRI before, so my first experience was absolutely horrendous. The MRI tech was very pleasant and informative, and understood why I couldnt get my test done. My issue was with the xray tech who was bothered I had to get my xrays done at an earlier time, because I was unable to do my MRI. She acted like I was a complete bother to her being added to her schedule. I had to call another location to complain because I was afraid of this location helping me further. I do not even want to go to another location to get my scans done, I will ask my doctor for another referral elsewhere . read more

Came in for my knee MRI. No problem in getting on the desk.Most of the paperwork was done pretty soon. It's what happened after the MRI that wasn't pleasant. I did give my prior MRIs for comparison to the current one. But when i went to collect the report, i realized the report didn't have comparison with the prior reports i'd given. To fix this, all they did was to have the doctor add an addendum to the report which goes like this "Prior reports are now available"!!!! These reports were always available. You guys just messed up. And instead of writing a new standard MRI report writing everything related to prior MRI examinations in one report, they just added an "addendum" page in the end giving some findings. Not a great deal, but i had to take all the pains to visit them again during my working hours!! The only silver lining is the price - $295 for a knee MRI w/o contrast. read more

This is the worst experience we had with medical imaging. I would give them 0 star if I could. Went there with my wife for her ultrasound. It felt like disaster as soon as We walked in. Receptionist (Katarina) and the technician (Britney) who did the ultrasound are the worst people you will ever meet. No greetings, very loud stupid TV shows, no instructions, rude to begin with and to the end. We waited there for 45 minutes even though we got there on time. The technician made us wait for another hour between test and she pocked my wife with imaging device multiple times to the point that it started hurting. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. Please ask your doctor to send you somewhere else. Not a friendly, rather a painful experience. read more

If your doctor gives you paperwork to go to AZ Tech Radiology...ask if they can send you to another facility...this place seems as though it has not been cleaned in a long time ... They honestly do not know what they are doing and I would highly recommend going somewhere else! read more

The Tempe location is old and unkempt. It needs a lit of maintenance that hasn't bee done. I hope this does't affect the quality of the staff. It seemed there were several trainees present the day of my exam. There are a lot more quality places out there - wish I had known before I went. The whole set of buildings need to be remodeled. read more

Wednesday, April 6, 2016: 1;30 app mt for followup ultrasound. Three times with this company. Twice a this location. Arrived 1:20. Unfriendly receptionist gave me paperwork to sign. Then disappeared. Office full of others waiting. I left at 2:00 - disgusted. . No one at the reception desk. No one came out from the back when I called. Office was packed - some even standing. No one being seen by anyone. Definitely will NOT go back to this location. and probably not this company. Second time this unreasonable wait has happened here. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I received X-rays here and was given a lead vest half way through the procedure. I was told that it was good enough that I received the vest at all. The next day I had blisters form on my knuckles and feet, when I confronted AZ-tech they called me a liar. I've tried contacting higher up people within the company and nobody responds. I went here to have an ultrasound exam done. This office was very pleasant from the moment I walked in to when I left. The check in/front desk woman was very welcoming and efficient. The technician who performed my exam (Britney) had wonderful bedside manner and made me feel very comfortable. She explained the exam thoroughly and made sure all questions I had were answered before I left. I also received the results from my exam quickly. Very pleased with my visit to this office. read more
