I bought a laser package from Simplicity laser in January 2023 from their web site, and when I called to schedule my appointment they said the package I bought was not valid because I was a customer "3 years ago", in 2020, but I had 2 options: apply the money I paid for the package to a full term 18 months membership or get a refund because they only work with memberships. ONCE YOU SIGN THEIR CONTRACT YOU HAVE A LONG TERM OBLIGATION..... IF YOU HAVE TO CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP BEFORE 18 MONTHS, THERE IS A HUGE CANCELATION FEE, HAVE TO PAY TO AVOID DAMAGE TO YOUR CREDIT SCORE.... Be aware of long term contracts!!!! Price: simple choice $71.26 monthly x 18 months.... Complete choice $123.00 monthly x 18 months.... Simplicity laser is more interested in selling packages.... BE AWARE!!!! Staff was nice and always punctual with appointments and place was always cleanly. However, I paid into 1.5 years of regular services for 3 areas - lower legs, brazilian, and arm pits - with still no results by the end of my sessions (had to be 12+ sessions in each location). I have very standard skin tone for a caucasian woman as well as dark/fairly normal to thick hair which should be ideal for laser hair removal. Despite my continuous communication of the sessions not working, the staff did not provide any reasoning, discuss options for improved results and just continued taking my money. Just kinda shitty tbh and I'd like to see a company commit to results. I have had laser from a real spa prior that worked like a breeze so I know its not a me problem. Absolutely do NOT COME HERE. It's a total scam. I've had 10 sessions done at another place that was EXCELLENT! Here, they use a low laser, THAT DOESNT WORK, then after 4 sessions they ask you, "how are you feeling about your services?" It was very easy to make the first appointment but on that call and during my first appointment, they are selling their memberships hard. I've had laser hair removal many times before but need more since having a baby. Barely looking at me, the tech said I would need at least a year of treatment which is odd because 2 treatments at Laser for less made a HUGE difference. For a Brazilian they only scheduled 5 minutes and spent zero attention to detail. At another place they spent 15-20 minutes... Many days later, I'm having my usual hair growth with NO change of hair. I feel like they use the lowest setting, short appointment times, and barely any effort so you're forced to come back. Then when you call as an established client you're on hold forever. I tried to make an earlier appointment but they refused to schedule anything earlier than 6 week which makes the "unlimited" monthly membership moot. I can understand a no answer if innately had any hair but there is a ton of active growth. Save your time, money and sanity and go else where. read more

This is my first non-five star review on Yelp. The technicians at Simplicity range from good to great and have wonderful attitudes. The service itself is good (from what I gather, it's my first time doing laser- so I could be wrong). The reason I am giving Simplicity Laser is one star review is because of how they treat me. Early into my member I was late to my session, due to a family member about to pass away, which I take full responsibility for. I called to inform simplicity I was running late. I noticed the technician wrote "LATE FOR APPT" in caps in my file- which I understood.... It was my fault. I continued to be on time to my sessions and wait, even though, on occasions they would run behind- no big deal. Recently, I was two minutes late to my sessions. I was lectured as if I were a child. Then they told me they would not be able to see me. Meanwhile, they were running late with the patient before me. After the lecture for being 2 minutes late, they still took me back.... Why speak to a person in a condescending tone and disrespectful manner to then take them back for their appt?? Last week, they sent me a reminder saying my session was at 5:45pm via text . I got there on time, then they told me my appt was at 5:30pm and proceeded to lecture me again and told me they would not bring me back for my appt. I had to pull out my phone to show them the correct time. All this to say......If I am paying for a service I should not have to be treated like a child or feel bad after an appt. I should have read the reviews prior to signing up for my Brazilian, face and underarms. At this point, I will be canceling and taking a loss... I haven't even had a treatment yet and I am worried. Went in, waited 30 minutes. I had a 1:50 appointment. Went with my husband who had a 1:40 appointment so we arrived at 1:30. Someone with a 2 pm appointment came in after me, LATE and they took her first. Same tech, same room. When I got in, they said I didn't shave that day (I have already had laser on my under arms several years ago so I don't shave daily...that's the point) and the rescheduled me. What laser place doesn't have 29 cent disposable razors? Let's see what happens tomorrow. No wonder why they need so many Groupons. Not great. read more

After reading all of the negative reviews I was a pretty worried about getting laser hair done here. I've had 4 separate appointments so far and can't say a negative thing. The staff has been very friendly and I've waited MAYBE 10 minutes before being taken back to a room. I have no burns and see a noticeable decrease in hair growth. I have been reading a bunch of the reviews and I barely see any of them referring to the actual laser service. I have been going to this location for almost 2 years and the experience is great so far. Yes, I had to wait too but not that long. And yes, there is a 20$ cancellation fee if it's done last minute, but they do text+email you at least 48hrs in advance as a reminder and in the email you also have to confirm. So you have plenty of time to cancel if needed! I really enjoy going there, they are doing a good job with the removal, it's really working for me. read more

This had to be the worst experience I've ever had with a company ever. When I signed up, I was under the impression that this was monthly. I signed up in way back in 2020, I've had 2 babies since then so I've been on a freeze for over 2 YEARS. I've decided I just want to cancel as we are planning on having more and I won't be coming back for a couple more years. Not only is it a pain to cancel, but then they charge a $200 cancellation fee plus they charged for a month I never used while I was trying to figure out how to even cancel. I guess almost 3 years ago when I did have 2 or 3 visits, the staff was okay but I never did see any results after the 3 visits. I wouldn't even recommend this place to my worst enemy. The service is great until you cancel. I had no issue with the actual laser, and the techs were great. I went to a month to month service after my year was completed, and after a few month found that a medical condition made me no longer eligible for their service. This was advised to me by their phone rep. The rep advised me my service and future appointments had been cancelled, and to email their billing department for a refund for any unused services. I didn't see any billing for the following month, which would have come through a few days after my call, so I figured everything was all set and when I was able to obtain treatment again I would just use the credit I had on file - no need to issue a refund. My mistake for not emailing for a refund. This month I received a charge from them. I emailed to inquire what was going on and was informed I never cancelled and that they do not issue refunds. I called and was greeted with nothing put push back when I requested a resolution. I not only cannot be treated per their policy, but had not received any calls or emails to schedule the appointments for the service I was paying for. In the end they refused to credit me for the service they will not be able to preform on me. I would recommend finding a different service provider for your laser hair removal. read more

Do not sign up at simplicity, they will steal your money. During Covid19 they were one of the many businesses that shut down during the pandemic, however they continued to charge the accounts stating they would "be added on after they reopened. They however did not honor this statement and simply stole the money that was paid in. There is not consistency in treatments . I don't think they know what they are doing . I don't know about the other locations, but the one in Scottsdale are not pleasant at all. I will not recommend this place to anyone . it took me a while to review this place , until my last session which was completely unpleasant . As many others too. Purchased a Groupon for six sessions since I needed a touch up from previous treatment 7 years ago. Didn't read the other reviews until afterwards; wish I had. They are so pushy, trying to get you to sign up for the monthly membership, which to me doesn't make sense because why would you need to continue going once the treatment is complete? Also, I was close to being ridiculed for not purchasing their products even though they give some to you after each treatment. I joined a month to month deal and called to cancel a year ago. They told me to email and let them know although I already communicated over the phone. I just noticed I have been charged every month since having called. I called corporate and explained to them what happened and they communicated they didn't care and unless they had written consent they'd continue to charge me. First I'd like to say that Brooke was great and if I were just reviewing her facial then it would be 5 stars. I don't think I would return to this location for a few reasons. I don't feel like this location provides the true Spa atmosphere. The waiting area was smaller and not as cozy as some and I feel that this first impression needs to make a "WOW" first impression statement. When they bring you back to the room, there is a large open room that the girls seems to gather and talk. This would not be a problem; however, you can hear every conversation and door close while you are in your treatment which is not relaxing at all. It was really distracting. I'm really disappointed to share this review. I originally bought a bikini package and had about 4 treatments before I upgraded to a large 3 area for 18 month unlimited treatment. I had my legs and underarms treated about a total of 3 times before I received a cancellation from simplicity and then was billed for a missed appt. I've tried calling. Talking to a manager and no one calls me back. My last appt was in December and I continue to get billed for services I'm not getting. I bought a package which had 7 sessions and then I added on two-three more laser sessions for my underarms. I am not hair free. Not even close. I still shave every two days and I do not have super thick hair so this is unacceptable. The laser techs that work there constantly harrass you about signing up for a yearly membership to keep you wrapped up in their scam. You should not have to sign up for a yearly membership for laser hair removal. My mom has the same type of hair as me and went to a different laser hair company and was completely hair free after only 7 underarm sessions. Really bad customer service. Unsuccessful treatments, and unsanitary. Congrats on being a terrible business, Simplicity. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if this place ends up on someone's YouTube channel for *Worst reviewed hair removal place in my city* I mistakenly bought a membership here after my first visit that I haven't been able to get out of. If you don't make an appointment they make one for you at a random day and time without confirming consent. I had to cancel an appointment that I didn't even make (they made for me randomly) and charged me $20 it was after their cancellation window (because I was put on an antibiotic the day before). Not accommodating in the slightest. I've had times where I've tried to call to let them know i would be running 5 mins late - they just won't pick up the line no matter how many times you try to call. They will mark you as a no show, force you to reschedule, and charge you the $20 fee. Even though your standing right in front of them and it's 4 mins past your appointment time. They'll be like "well sorry that's our policy" and point to their sign. It's really the most annoying thing to deal with. As for the hair removal process, I don't think the techs use the same voltage for the hair removal process. Some background on me: I'm naturally very dark haired and light skinned. I'm a perfect candidate for hair removal. I had one young lady who did a session on me once or twice and it was more noticeably painful BUT I could see a huge difference for a good while in hair growth. Two sessions later, I had an older woman who used a decreased level. I didn't feel anything and my results were nothing. Like I paid for absolutely no results. My suggestion is to be sure to ask the tech what level it's set to (or frequency) and have them continue to use the same frequency (or higher) every time you go in. Otherwise they set it to the lowest possible setting and it won't do the job! Also concerns about it being unsanitary! Be careful about using the restorative gel that they leave on the counter after your sessions. Imagine all the people pumping, rubbing on skin, going back and pumping more (contaminating the pump). Next person who uses it will be using a contaminated pump. I work in the medical field and at a hospital. I'm always really cautious about these type of things and honestly this is a sure way to spread staph or MRSA. This place just does not practice any type of infection control. Only reason this place is in business is because they're scamming people off membership and fees. read more

I found simplicity laser on groupon. I have had Brazilian and my thighs done at other places years ago. I bought a package for 8 treatments for my under arms. I usually have the same girls each time every 6 weeks. I have not seen any results or even feel anything being done. Every time I tell them they always tell me I need to buy more packages. They tell me I must hurry and buy them because I only have a few days left of this great deal, but it's the same deal 6 weeks later. When I had my Brazilian done and thighs at two different places, and I wanted better results they were always able to bump up the level of the lasers and even go over the spot twice. This place does not do that, as well as I'm told it's a tough area I might need 8-16 more treatments and to get the package. I have two appointments left, I am not satisfied of the results at all. The last time I went I had a young tech named Amanda holding I believe, she did not mention how I need to pay a ton of money for results she took her time with it and went over the spots and I actually saw slight results like I did the first time getting my Brazilian done. It hurt a little which tells me she did a better job. The other people go over it so fast and walk right out and tell me to sigh up for their packages. I'm only going to make my last two with her if possible. Most likely will have to go to a different place to get results. They must work on commission or they weren't trained very well. I have been coming to this lotion for three year now. I chose to laser most of of body. Like most important things, getting laser done takes time and commitment. In these past years, the different ladies that I have encountered have been professional, adaptable and easy to work with. Whenever I needed to change my appointment and asked to be placed on the waiting list for a particular time and date, I would always get a call back and be accommodated. Even before the pandemic, the location has always been clean and organized. I know that laser may not remove all hair but it has reduced A LOT of hair. That is why I am happy and satisfied. I feel like I finished a long marathon that was totally worth it. I appreciate all the ladies for coming to work during the pandemic and being brave to do so. No!! Don't do it! This is my second review on this particular merchant. They were previously located at 1455 W. Chandler Blvd Ste B-11 inside of the Bellagio Clinic. They promised that the move to their own facility would enable them to provide better service. Not at all... Apparently, if you are a male and have an accent, certain staff does not wish to be pleasant or provide even the most basic customer service, let alone treatment. Let's just say my husband has had a truly horrible experience with this place. To the point of being prejudicial, but that is his story to tell... I've really tried to give this place a second chance after the last experience I had. They swore up and down that that was not how they normally operate and that the move (another 10 miles out of my way, now totally 20 from my home) would only allow them to improve service as they would no longer be restriced by working in a physician's office. Here is what I know: It's impossible to get scheduled within a reasonable amount of time. They are either under staffed, overbooked or both. It's impossible to speak to someone who is not a child. Seriously, they all are just out of high school. They can't answer simple questions and they are all sitting around texting or looking at Facebook on their cell phones. There is never any management on site. How is this even permitted by their corporate office? The website says "Our staff includes a certified esthetician, a registered nurse, a nurse practitioner, and a full time board certified medical doctor". Not true. No one is in the office except for the very young and unsupervised Laser Technicians. You cannot call them directly. You must call the 800 number to ask questions about anything. Even to ask driving directions when you cannot locate the new office and there is no signage to help you find the place. They have tip jars in the rooms. Really?! Tip jars??! Is this Starbucks? This to me is completely tacky. I have been in the service/hospitably/spa industry for over ten years and I have NEVER seen nor would even ever ALLOW a tip jar to be placed in a treatment room with a HUGE sign stating that tips are appreciated! Of course they are - but don't make me uncomfortable and feel obligated to leave one - especially when the service is so very poor. To submit a complaint, you must fill out a form online and wait for a call. I did just that and received a call the next day from what I assume to be the location manager. She left a voice mail. I've been trying to call her back for three days. It goes straight to voice mail. I've left a voice mail but still no return call. Over it and getting all of my money back from Groupon... read more

Scam!!! Signed up due to the great specials, well not so great!! They get you to sign a contract, but then use severely low treatment settings on their laser so the results are slow as possible to ensure you need more treatments. After 6 treatments I had no reduction. I took a picture of my setting and showed another less tech, she said I am on the completely wrong settings for my skin and it would be impossible to have results at these settings!! So I am now in a contract for 89$ a month with no way out. I still get laser done, but at laser for less in chandler, there is no point wasting precious time on ineffective treatments. Where to start. Perhaps I will just list pros and cons and let you decide. Pros: Cheap (buy on Groupon!!) New facility is MUCH better than previous ones. Cons: 1800 # is the only contact. Different technician each time, which translates to different sizes being treated. They are not interested in the LEAST to help you. They want to make your treatments appt as difficult as possible. Scheduling is a joke, don't expect to get in anytime soon (I schedule 2 appts in advance and work off that). Bottom line. You get what you pay for. I would NEVER pay on some sort of "real" plan. If you're even 5 minutes late they don't accommodate you yet they will have you sit and wait 10 or 15 mins before they take you back. Ridiculous policy. Signed up a year ago with the $198 Groupon. Sales lady was nice and I told her I was a laser virgin and wanted several areas done. She told me that the 6 sessions in the Groupon wouldn't be enough. So she convinced me to upgrade to a 1-1/2 year membership for 3 areas of my body and that she would simply apply the $198 from the Groupon towards my membership. Mind you, I ended up paying an additional $700+ my Groupon for a total of $900+. NO, I did not sign up for monthly installments, I paid this all up front. Come to find out after getting 6 treatments on my lower legs, I was told I had no more treatments left! They said the membership was only for the other 2 areas (Brazilian and underarms) and didn't include the legs because the legs were from the Groupon. That made NO SENSE since I needed all 3 of these areas to be done and that's why I paid for a membership! This was very frustrating to me becuse that was NOT how it was explained to me in the beginning. Their sales person had conveyed to me that all 3 areas would be under the membership. So when i explained this to the manager, she was nice but super UN-sympathetic that it was not explained correctly to me and that there was nothing she could do. She said I could pay EXTRA for me to get my legs included in the remainder of my membership. WHY THE HELL WOULD I WANT TO PAY YOU MORE AFTER I PAID YOU $900 AND YOU CAN"T EVEN FOLLOW THROUGH WITH WHAT YOU SAID IN THE BEGINNING. I told her that it was very misleading and all I wanted was to be refunded the difference and that I would pay for the treatments I had gotten thus far. I thought would be a fair way to settle the misunderstanding. She was basically treating me like a liar when I told her I was misled She said she wouldn't refund me because I signed the contract and it that it was non-cancellable. Well excuse me if I didn't take a fine-tooth comb through the contract because I TRUSTED your salesperson to do a good job. It makes absolutely no sense for me to KNOWINGLY sign up for only 6 treatments on my legs and then a membership for the other 2 areas when the sales person knew I wanted all 3 areas completely done!! The Chandler location is nice and the techs are pretty nice as well. I am just super unhappy with way they run their business and the way I was treated.
