Hands down one of the best banh mi sandwiches in town! The bread could usually get a bit rough but this place got magic! Everything in this sandwich is perfection. The bread is amazing, meat & veggies are perfect. Just pure perfection. The meat can be good at a lot of Vietnamese restaurants but the bread is where it gets tricky. These folks got it down and I think this place is a true gem. Their boba drinks are not overly sweet and taste amazing too. The staff are courteous and super friendly. If you're in the area, this is a good stop for a banh mi craving. I had the pork, with added egg and avocado, plus a green tea. My sandwich was good--lots of meat and goodies packed inside, fresh bread... I asked for a cooked yolk but still runny, and got almost a hard boiled egg. Also, I asked for no tapioca in my drink, and it ended up with tapioca instead. Just make sure they get the order right before finalizing the transaction. read more

Finally making my review after trying it a couple of times. Originally I was thinking more 4 to 5 stars, and now it's probably a solid 4. It started off strong, with really good drinks and amazing banh mi but there were a couple of times it wasn't as good and really, it's probably just the new business working out its kinks and inconsistency. I wouldn't say its VERY inconsistent, but it was better before than the past few times I've went. Generally I like to order pork banh mi. The pork here isn't really the bbq pork I'm used to getting in my banh mi and I think that's what really throws it off a bit (or it started off with the one I'm more used to then it changed?). The flavor is still pretty decent and not dry but just not what I prefer. I really like the bread though, it's crispy but made just right to where there's a slight softness to it. I've also tried the pork vermicelli which was pretty good and a decent size. I also enjoy that it comes in a to-go container already so if you can't finish it, you can just pop the lid over it and bring it home. The drinks started off AMAZING almost. There was enough tea flavor, just the right hint of sweetness and I absolutely love that the mango green tea has actual mango bits in it. The consistency of the tapioca was decent and their thai tea was soo fragrant I had to order it one time. However the last time I went, the drinks were made overly sweet and another time they were also out of green & black tea and it was only 11am. Hopefully they will work out their small little issues because besides that, it's a pretty good place for a cheap, not so unhealthy lunch. The interior is really clean and open as others have stated and the service is always great! The workers are always so welcoming and pleasant. Love their chargrilled pork rice plate! The meat is very tender, juicy, and flavorful even after my 30-min driving home. The portion is smaller so the price is cheaper than other places but I really prefer it this way because it was just enough to fill up my stomach instead of overstuffing it. :) I haven't tried their drinks yet but hopefully they will be as good as their chargrilled pork. :D UPDATE: I've tried their Green Milk Tea with tapioca. I was so excited this place opened so close. Stopped by last Sunday for lunch. The place was super clean and nice inside. We were greeted right away by many people. We ordered one beef Bahn Mi (sandwich) and one pork vermicelli bowl. The portions were good and the meat was so fresh! All the veggies were crisp, noodles cooked perfectly, and left me wanting more.... Next time. The fish sauce is light and not so heavy that the smell may stay on your hands. I like that. I ordered a pork banh mi with eggs, shrimp spring roll, and a regular sized Vietnamese coffee. The food is not the best. The bread was not crunchy, but the pork had no fat in it! That's a HUGE plus. Was looking through yelp for a new tapioca place and was surprised to see one close by my house, literally five minutes away (Wilcrest and West Belfort) No more driving all the way down to Bellaire. It's located in a small plaza across from Wendy's and next to a daycare and McDonald's. When we first walked in, the first thing you notice is the aesthetics. It was fully decorated and a nice dream place for those who want to study or just read. But not for big groups. They only had two small tables. The cashier was really nice and gave us some recommendations since it was our first time here. We ended up getting a milk black tea, milk green tea, Vietnamese coffee, beef banh mi, and charcoal chicken rice plate. The drinks - they were good, but if you're going for milk tea, black milk tea was better! The Vietnamese coffee was also good, very strong. The food - the beef banh mi was a bit pricey as it was almost the same price as Thanh Ky. Turned out to be actually pretty good. The bread was soft in bite but also crunchy as it was a fresh bread. The beef was very tender with rich flavor. The chicken was also good, but they give you a little rice compared to the amount of rice they give you. So, if you're going for food, I would recommend y'all to try the banh mi. This place was a great find, and would be coming here often. read more

Based on drink only. Will update with more experience. Not sure how I feel about the layout/design of the shop, but it could get by for a place in that area. If you plan on dining in, their space might allow for a group of no more than 4 ppl. This isnt a full on restaurant with a bunch of tables, but it's a little bit more than just a boba shop. Friendly staff. Lady at the register was very helpful and sweet! No frills drink menu, however, the quality of the tea was fantastic in my opinion. I asked them to mix strawberry and peach tea for me with boba. I noticed a bit of actual fruit in the tea. I'm not complaining. I thought it was great! Menu options were basic. Nothing fancy smancy. I can appreciate that. They could even expand the flavors over time. I could've missed this on the menu, but adding Cafe Sua Da on the menu would be a great idea for those morning commutes since I drive by this place every day before work. Quality of boba is not so great. We got boba from an old batch. It was sticky and clumpy. BOTD: theyre a new place with possibly low customers right now, so I understand if they cant throw away old boba due to cost or due to the fact that not enough people are coming by to make them prep a new boba batch. Okay I have been here multiple times so it's about time I finally give them a review that they deserve. First off, the decor in this place is really cute and modern. I love the options of high chairs on one side of the wall or lower seating on the other. They do only have one unisex restroom but it was always clean and organized. I can only write this review based on their banh mi (Vietnamese sandwiches ; except for the beef). I have asked them to make me only egg when I come in early as they open (9am) and they accommodated me. Wherever they buy their french bread is probably my top faves because it's not too crunchy or soggy or chewy. The texture fits perfectly with my egg which the yolk oozes out once you take a bite. That's how I love my eggs! I have tried the eggs with the grilled chicken or pork. Both were delicious and full of flavor (not dry!). They also pack the sandwich with the veggies and just enough of the butter (or Vietnamese mayo). I definitely should try their rice or noodle dishes but I always get tempted to stick with the banh mi.
