    Amador Dirty Blonde

We went up to Sutter Creek today for a family outing. I checked the Yelp reviews yesterday and came up with 6 lunch options. We had 6 Adults and a pair of grandkids and I guessed some restaurants weren't going to have a big table for all of us. This place looked fine though. Corina and I split a Pastrami Reuben on sourdough. They served us on two plates and each of us got one of their yummy dill spears. The 1/2 sandwich was the perfect size for each of us and they were great tasting. I had a cup of delicious clam chowder on the side and an Amador Dirty Blonde ale that was pretty tasty. I need to find a source for that down here in Elk Grove. We will come back here again.

Oatmeal raisin cookie & half gold rush sandwich

Came for the gnarly-huge cookies, stayed for the sandwiches. I figured that the oatmeal raisin cookie would have some crispiness to it, but not have crispiness be its whole personality trait lol. Rather tough and a bit on the one-note sweet side. Would be great to have the cookie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream as it would make a nice topping when crumbled haha. Gold rush sandwich was pretty decent. Not the most flavorful tri-tip but the sandwich bread was scrumptiously toasty. Nice cheese pull too. Pretty friendly staff and there is plentiful seating. 3 stars for the food collectively but bumped the rating up to a 4 for the service and ambiance. Overall a place to consider when searching for some grub at Sutter Creek.

Such an adorable coffee shop/cafe! We visited Sutter Creek for a wedding, and stopped in for some iced lattes to walk around town with. I wish we would have eaten breakfast here because both the food and prices looked great! My review is based solely on the latte (which was amazing) and the overall feel of the cafe. Can't wait to come back and eat here!

    Lasagna soup

Lasagna soup was delicious. Never had this before. It was a delight, barbecue beef sandwich delicious and a lemonade. My friend had wine.

A wonderful stopping point on the way to or returning from the mountains. The BBQ sandwich was amazing with one of the best pickles I have had in a long time. My wife had the house special, which was equally good if you miss the post-Thanksgiving sandwich. And the potato salad is excellent. It has a wonderful small town atmosphere with a great staff.

Lots of sandwiches to choose from. My turkey sandwich was pretty standard. The restaurant was clean and pleasant. The counter girl complained loudly about previous customers leaving a mess.

On Memorial Day my sweetheart and I ventured in for some breakfast, I ordered the French Toast Breakfast Sandwich with added strawberry jam since the description reminded me of a monte cristo sandwhich, tho slightly different. It was delicious and sweet with a nice amount of meat, eggs, powdered sugar and syrup. The strawberry jam was sweet and really brought the sandwich up a notch, the sandwich was great on it's own tho so I didn't add much syrup. To drink I ordered a classic breakfast staple, a small Orange Juice, delicious! I would definitely recommend stopping into this restaurant yourself, they have beautiful artwork displayed throughout we enjoyed looking at, nice stained glass on the doors and the staff are very friendly and helpful! Especially our cashier, she gave great recommendations, it had been so long since I stopped in that I don't remember what I ordered. From the looks of it, they are definitely known for their biscuits and gravy and I can see why, I tried a bite of my man's and it's damn good, ordering next time! You can tell they make everything homemade here!

BLT, Meatloaf sandwich and a large salad.

Cute little cafe in downtown Sutter Creek. I was looking for a quick bite and found a great breakfast sandwich at Sina's and tasty ice tea.

They kept them coming once we asked, and they were delicious every time. But we had to keep asking, and at one point, we almost gave up. That said, the service was pretty underwhelming, especially since the restaurant wasn't busy. We waited close to 20 minutes before getting our first drinks, even water. We had noted a special occasion on our reservation, but there wasn't really anything that made it feel acknowledged or special. We shared the skillet, and unfortunately it was extremely soggy. We literally poured liquid out of it multiple times. On the flip side, the lemon poppyseed waffle was a solid 10/10 and definitely the standout food item for us. I'm giving 3 stars because there's clearly potential here. The drinks were great, the waffle was amazing, and I do think this place could easily be a 5-star experience with more attentive service and a little more consistency in the kitchen. We'll definitely give it another try.

I was excited to try this place as I was in town for a wedding and it had good reviews. It has potential but unfortunately today was a let down. My vegan friend had gone the night before and enjoyed her peanut noodle bowl with tofu! So that's good apparently) So we had high hopes but when we went today before 10am they were out of black beans for the one vegan option for my friend and didn't offer to make it without or anything it was painful to watch and to eat in front of her. Lattes looked good. My boyfriend is not picky but said the house coffee was average and got the All Sutter Creek- bacon eggs and toast and it just looked sad. Bacon was burnt, wheat toast was small and looked like cheap wonderbread. Eggs were fine but nothing better then we have at home he said. I got the Handford Benedict and it looked good but tasted strange. I didn't like the hollandaise sauce, it was tangy. Eggs were cooked well and potatoes were good, but overall with prosciutt ( meh), steamed unseasoned spinach and goat cheese made it too tangy. Hot sauce made it edible. French toast looked yummy with a nice amount of fruit on top and my friend seemed to enjoy it. I don't think I'd come back since the food is so unpredictable. A few things to fix - the bench seat wobbled whenever anyone moved at the other end, and the hot sauce wooden cap needs to be glued on! - it keep turning and comes off and gets glue in peoples food and looks gross underneath. I hope this helps you guys improve.

We truly love exploring Gold Country which is always rich with history. The Imperial Hotel is a hidden gem and I can't wait to come back. Built in 1879, but restored several times over the years the Imperial Hotel was a perfect place to grab lunch. We will definitely have to consider staying the next time we are up this way. We sat outside on the most perfect day that was a little breezy but with the perfect amount of sunshine! They have a great outdoor patio with fire pits for cooler days. We ordered the Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Sandwich with lettuce, pickled onion, aioli, and herb fries. Delicious! The chicken was really tender and the aioli was on point. We also ordered a harvest salad that had beets and sweet potatoes. It was also really flavorful. We ordered a Sauvignon Blanc and the Cinsault Blend. It's located in a charming off the beaten path historic Gold Country town in Amador Co. that exudes charm in every direction. Amador City is rural and hasn't changed much in many years. The Imperial is a historic hotel with overnight rooms to rent and a dining room/bar. I came for dinner and am so glad I did. Although I made a reservation, it didn't seem necessary, but I would, just in case. The interior is so warm and cozy, and the historic elements make for a beautiful backdrop. We had a nice table for two against the brick wall that was intimate and yet connected to the ambiance of the room. Our server, a delightful woman, was friendly and professional. I started with a Pick Axe Freezer Martini with gin, and oh my gosh, it was a powerhouse of flavor and exuberance. It had a delightful wallop. It comes with a round cut glass side tray of things to add- olives, onion, etc. for one's individual taste. We had the bread service with warm, freshly made bread and a sun-dried tomato, basil, and garlic sauce for spreading or dipping. DELICIOUS! For the first course, I had a bowl of the clam chowder that was superb, creamy, delicate, and nicely mixed with bacon, carrots, croutons, etc, yet seemed devoid of clams. I won't hold it against them as the soup's consistency and taste were magnificent. There were two specials, a rack of lamb or a tuna poke bowl. I had heard that the scallops were very good, but they were substituting shrimp that day. I chose the lamb, and my dining partner had the poke bowl. Both were excellent. The lamb was fresh, nicely crusted, and cooked perfectly. The only criticism is a couple of times I tasted a small clump of salt, similar to Kosher salt. Since I use little salt in my own cooking, it really hits me when it's not well integrated into a dish and/or overpowering. Overall, the meal was excellent. It was relaxed, interesting, and an adventure into history, too. This place really has it down, and I highly recommend getting there for a very nice meal amongst the historical delights.

Yes, it costs a little more than some pizza places, but it's worth every penny. You don't need 10 slices to get full here. One or two slices and you're good! It's not just a bunch of bread either. They actually load their pizzas with toppings, whether you get the Vegetarian, Mother Lode, or another specialty pizza. They also have some really good meal specials, and that's usually my go-to. I get one that includes a specialty pizza, cheese bread, and drinks. If you order it to go, you can get a 2-liter. For the amount of food you get, I think it's a phenomenal value. The service is pretty good as well. They employ quite a few young people, which I actually appreciate. Every now and then you may catch them being young and goofing around a little, but for the most part they're polite, friendly, and do their jobs well. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The inside is fine, but when the weather is nice, I really enjoy sitting outside. It's a nice atmosphere to relax, have some pizza, and enjoy a glass of wine.
