Confession: I tried Sinclairs back when they first opened. Left thinking it was just okay. Wow!! Was I wrong. Their food is excellent. Even just a basic hamburger is special enough that everyone turns around to look when a plate goes by. Lots of great choices, all beautifully presented and best of all, the food tastes GOOD!!!! There is everything from pizzas, hummus, crab cakes, pasta, etc. etc. And everything I've had so far, has been amazing. The owners are wonderful. They are very friendly and you can tell that they really care about their customers. Instead of feeling like a regular restaurant, it feels like you are somewhere that you actually know the servers and the management. Can't say enough good about this place. AND--on Monday nights at 7:00 p.m., there is fun, old-fashioned trivia! With teams and prizes! Jason, everyone's favorite host--puts the whole thing together. They try to act like they're a fancy restaurant. But they only succeed with the acting like it with their prices. Their menu offerings are very limited. If you want a hearty delicious meal this isn't the restaurant for you. If you like salads or very lite snack like meal you certainly get that at a full meal price. It's a nice enough place and it's clean but if they would drop their pretentiousness along with their prices and add some classic American dishes without adding the cooks weird additions to each this restaurant would be given a fourth chance from my family and I. Food was not what was ordered... took quiet a while to correct, all the while they were dropping off all sorts of apps we didn't order, after placing them on our table they'd bring them to a different table trying to figure out who ordered what (no thanks). Fish and Chips was done perfectly. The sauce was good but I would have preferred Mary Rose sauce to really accentuate the great fish. Thai flatbread pizza was fun and tasty with generous toppings. Great find in Blue Springs! Easy and comfortable place, not overly decorated. He had the fish and chips: both hot and fresh and crispy. I had the chicken Caprino....thin, grilled chicken breasts on a crispy polenta cake with spinach and sun-dried tomatoes all covered with a garlic cream sauce! This was just a delicious combination of complimentary flavors (but I'm a sucker for sun-dried tomatoes). We would definitely return here! read more

If I could give 6 stars I would. We were driving through just for the night and found this through yelp. So glad we did. The staff was super friendly and outgoing. The place was lively and crowded, everyone having a great time. We had the special pickle wings as a starter and they were crispy and delicious. For entrees I had the chicken club and my husband had the pork loin, both were fantastic. As a bonus there was live music. I have nothing bad or even mediocre I could say. Go there !! read more

Alright...I looked at the menu and thought, this looks like a good privately owned type hole in the wall. It is. Cute decor and menu although, very small limited selection for lunch. Okay. I understand that. We sat down, my husband rolled out his napkin and a small bug (roach?) crawled out. THAT should have been a reason to leave BUT, we are in the mid-west and bugs sometimes happen. I ordered the potato leek soup and turkey sandwich. Sandwich was good, but, I recommend that they used more artisanal breads for the atmosphere they are trying to convey. The soup was a total miss...for one, potato leek soup is usually white with a green tint to it. This looked like it has a little tomato because it was a little orange...it was cold...and completely tasteless...absolutely no flavor whatsoever. No salt, no seasoning. It tasted like they pureed potatoes in water and threw it in a bowl. My husband got the street tacos and he enjoyed them. So, it wasn't a total bust but someone needs to teach the cook/chef how to make a good tasting soup because this was awful. read more

The service was horrible. Specifically told the waitress that I wanted my burger well done. After waiting ages my husband's club sandwich and my burger arrived. The burger was still pink almost to the point of bloody so I asked for it to be redone. By the time it finally came back out my husband was done eating so had to wait while I ate. The burger was mediocre at best certainly not worth the price. Two hours after leaving the restaurant I was violently vomiting. This went on for three hours. I will never eat there again and I have advised all my friends to avoid it like the plague. read more

I read the reviews before we went. We were just passing through town for the night, so we thought we'd give it a try. It was really loud, and there was live music in the bar part that made it even louder because it isn't that big. My BLAT sandwich was good, but the waitress said the salad was on romaine, and it was on spring mix. Unfortunately, I like a crisp salad, but I ate my sandwich. My husband had pork chops, but he said the gravy or sauce was really salty. Our server was really nice, and our service was good. If we travel through there again, we will try a different place. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich, which menu says has onion strings on it and is on a brioche bun. Well, the pork was dried out, the bun was stale, and there was not an onion string to be found; just a couple very dark onion rings. Rings woulda been fine, just tell us. However, them being dark is a sure sign of not recently filtered/changed oil and/or a dirty fryer. The burnt taste confirmed this suspicion. Fries left a lot to be desired. They had a seasoned coating on them. Straight from the freezer, more than likely. I don't mind anyone using frozen fries, but the "seasoned coating" is awful. From what I can tell, Sinclair's thinks they after the upper-middle bracket patron. Rest assured, Summit Grill; you got nothing to worry about! read more

The Blue Spring exit on I-70 is full of chain options--but look for this fairly new strip of stores/restaurants on the north side of the interstate. Sinclair's is one of those places trying to get it done--and succeeding judging by the numbers here on an early Thursday night. The bar was rocking--not too loud--with a trio who could actually play, and they serve up an excellent Maker's Old Fashioned for $7. We all went for pasta dishes--and were impressed. One of our group announced it as some of the best chicken fettuccine she had more in recent memory. The veggie angel hair pasta got a thumbs up, and hey the penne pasta I had was spot on too. Recommend this place as a very affordable option for travelers in a region where chains dominate the interstate exits. read more

This was my first visit to Sinclair's. It was a Yelp find when I was looking for Fish and Chips. I have it a shot and I'm glad I did! It's a small local watering hole/ cafe. It was some of the best Fish and Chips I've had. The fish was moist and flaky with a very crispy exterior. The 'chips' are seasoned fries, also very crispy in a good way. I would have given 5 stars if they had coleslaw to go with their fish. Sort of a personal thing I guess but it's frustrating when I get good fish and they don't have slaw. I am no longer a Sinclair's Virgin! This restaurant is reaching it's one year anniversary and I have to say that the early reviews kept me away. If you haven't been over for dinner in the past 3-6 months, I highly recommend you give it a second try. The owner paid close attention to his feedback on Yelp and based on my first visit, I would say he is doing tremendous work! My kiddos visited the restaurant with their grandmother a few weeks ago and they have been raving ever since. "Mom, we have to eat at Sinclairs!" I gave in and I'm glad I did. Drinks: Awesome selection of cocktails. I tried the Bulldog Smash and it was TASTY! Reminded me of the lovely cocktails I get at Louie's Wine Dive. Well done on that libation! Appetizer: Buffalo Dip...it's what you would expect and tasted like what I make at home. Nothing extraordinary but still tasty. Meals: French Dip: Anytime we go out to eat and this is on the menu, it's what my 13 year old daughter orders. She loves this sandwich. When I asked her what she thought of it, she said "the meat was sooooo good." I tried a bite and I have to admit, it was tender, juicy, and sliced thin which made the texture enjoyable. She and my son are both fans of the fries at Sinclairs. True potato taste! Sinclair Burger: Our 11 year old son ordered this and it is his "old standby" at any location. I would assume this is not the showcase item on the menu but it was good enough the boy cleaned his plate. Again, all he could talk about was how yummy the fries were. Honey Peppered Salmon: This was my order. There are times when I get really excited for salmon and I'm let down by something boring or overly fishy. This was the best salmon I've ever had aside from dining coastal. It was sweet...if you don't like sweet and savory you might try something else. It was delightful and the mashed potatoes and green beans were flavorful. I WILL BE BACK AND THIS WILL BE MY CHOICE...EVERY TIME. Rustic Pizza: My husband decided to try the pizza. He left the table for a few minutes after ordering and the food came while he was away. The kids and I took a slice of pizza and hurriedly passed it around each taking a bite. We put that piece back on his plate. That's our family...silly! He laughed and we all complimented his choice. Pizza is hard to not enjoy and it was pretty good. He felt it was a good choice. During this visit we found we could text to join a list for restaurant updates and get a free desert. We ordered the strawberry shortcake and then added an order of the donuts. These were all shared around the table and the donuts were the crowd favorite. The shortcake was great but there is a slight taste of liquor that the kids didn't enjoy. We would order donuts to share again. A lot has been said about the atmosphere. It's a nice place with awesome refurb lighting and candles on tables. There was a musician playing when we arrived and it was quite enjoyable. The owner is listening and pays close attention to Yelp. Please give him an opportunity to continue to incorporate your feedback. I complimented his awareness of the app and gave him these same rave reviews in person. Well done. Went here for lunch and ordered their Wednesday special. Cheeseburger. Came out burned and the bun was burned. Absolutely gross, no flavor either. This is the first time I'd been here in many years, as I went when they first opened and didn't care for it then. I wanted to give them another try as it's a local restaurant. Didn't think you could mess up a burger, but they did. I'd rather eat a McDonald's burger than that again, and I hate McDonald's. Fries tasted like Ore-Ida frozen seasoned fries. So this place. What a gem. It's in a tiny strip mall but when you walk in, it's very pretty inside. They serve you home made chips at your table and my kids love them. I've ordered several things and love every one. Portion sizes are great and the price is on point as well. Their Oso sand which is amazing and highly recommended. My wife and I are frequent patrons of this quaint establishment and love its small restaurant charm and menu. We have continued to support them multiple times thoughout the current Covid situation. We however will not be dining here again until things go back to normal. The owner (Shane) was present last night and the bar was not following any safety protocalls other than wearing masks after we were seated. There were tables set up when we walked in that were spaced apart as they should be, but the bartender and hosts allowed multiple people to sit at the bar and even had patrons move people over while other guests had already been served after they had placed thier order. The other guest certainly felt uncomfortable and moved as close to the end of the bar as possible. The owner needs to remove seating from the bar, and stick to safety protocols for patrons to eliminate this happening. I didn't take photos of his bars non-compliance of the situation and hope that this review reaches him. Hopefully he discusses this with his staff, and removes seating as well as post signs regarding safe distance procedures. We have been to numerous places to try to support them during this tough time, wear our mask, keep our distance and follow all procedures ourselves, but the business owners need to protect their patrons as well. read more
