Oh! Why the low rating? You will absolutely have fun here! It has a grungy dive bar mixed with fun karaoke vibes. Come sing your heart out with your friends/family in a private room, or if you are more daring, you can sing in front of others in the bar area. They are opened every day until 4 am, and the prices are reasonable too.

Had such a great time there! Ended up getting one of the private rooms with a friend for 2 hours! It was about $15 per hour (because the room was for 3 people originally but that was the only room available at the time) and they had a bunch of songs to select from. I think it is usually around 10 per person per hour. The room was pretty small and was supposed to be for 3 people. However, it was perfect for just 2. I can't wait to go again!

When we first arrived at this spot it looks really small from the outside but it's pretty big lots of rooms to sing karaoke privately with friends and family. They have a bar as soon as you walk in where they have people singing that did not book a room to sing. What I liked about this place is you can bring your own food which is nice. You cannot bring your own liquor but they had a variety of choices to drink. The room my friends booked was nice but was too small for the amount of guest they invited so the staff offered a bigger room Which was nice and accommodating I'm not sure if they charged them extra but it was great for the guest. This place gets busy as the night goes on! The music selection was ok many songs we tried to look for they did not have but they also had the option to use your own personal device to connect to their tv and pick the songs we like. I would definitely come back with a group of people, good energy, lots of singing can't go wrong.

Such a cute place! My friend and I were only going to stay one he but they had Bollywood songs also So we stayed two hrs and it is def a memory for life. The private rooms are super cute and we didn't even know how time flew. It would be nice to have newer Bollywood songs but it was crazy they had a couple they had. All the other songs great selection and the bathroom was super cool lit up and and overall totally would come again

Rented a private room for my birthday. We had a lot of fun. Pros: price, friendly accommodating staff, wide variety of drinks Con: the rooms are a tad small and don't really match the suggested party size. We had six ppl in a room that is reserved for 8. It was tight in there.

Yes! I've finally found an "open room" karaoke bar in NYC! Such fun, highly recommend! The service and atmosphere were great and you don't have to get a room to sing, you can sing in the open bar!

Too much fun was had by all! We sang our hearts out all night! The atmosphere was so fun and friendly. There's some pretty cool artwork on the walls and the drinks are reasonably priced. If you love karaoke and fun, come here! You can even rent a private room to sing with your friends!

We jumped over to the bar right beside and drank some girly drinks before getting the notification our table was ready. As with nearly every establishment in NYC, it is very close quarters in paradise lost. We stood at a table while waiting for seats at the bar to become available. Which, we didn't mind. I could see how this might be a little harder to get a seat for a bigger group if you aren't there before 6. It seemed that once a group got a big table, they camped out. The drinks were strong and creative. Friendly bartenders, good music, and yummy options for bar snacks. Also, the bathroom is a nice touch. Given the hell theming for the bar, the bathroom is a 180 and while using the Lou, you can listen to the bible being recited. Theres also a spooky surprise if you press the button in the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, it is at the bottom of some decently narrow stairs. So, try and stay sober enough for stairs or you may fall. Go to this bar. You will have fun.

I mean, I've had bad pina coladas at dive bars, but I expected more from this place. I would say it was very strong, though, so you know what? That's a good thing to be very strong for that price I'm paying. The spam musubi was also a rip-off. You see two here, but each one costs its own $10, so save your money. Eat somewhere else. The bi-level bar and lounge was dark, swanky, and seductive. It would make an excellent spot for dates or groups of friends, like mine. We started off sitting at the bar, as there were no large tables available upon our arrival. However, after about 15 minutes, the host approached to tell us that he could actually seat us. I picked up my glass, which was wet with condensation, and it slipped out of my hands. I was able to collect it with only a minor spill, but the host insisted that the bar staff make me a new cocktail in case the glass had chipped at all. It was a considerate gesture that I greatly appreciated. Plus, since I had already taken a few sips, I was thrilled to get those back in a new glass! In terms of my cocktail of choice, I had opted for the Hot Tijuana Tease, a fiery blend of mezcal, blanco tequila, chile poblano liqueur, and lime juice. So, it was essentially a spicy margarita, and it was excellent. There were clean, crisp notes of peppery heat balanced with layers of robust smoke. My only complaint about the lounge was that the bathrooms were beyond tiny. There were two unisex stalls in a very tight alcove that also included a cramped sink counter. It was awkward and uncomfortable to share that space with another patron. Aside from that, the Hide Rooftop was a beautiful place with a friendly staff and interesting drinks.

As soon as you open the door youre greeted with your party's name and brought to your seats. We opted to sit at the bar but there are tables to the left of the bar and a large sitting room to the left. The staff is very attentive and you will interact with them more than the bartender. We started off by ordering the Welcome Drink which is a bit if an aperitif and "gets your palette" so to speak. It was light, fruity, and a nice way to start the night. My first drink was the Adulting and they present it with a spritz if irange blossom. It is definitely a sipping drink due to the 14yr Balvenie. My second drink, Omija, was a lighter drink comparatively. The clarified yogurt gave it a bit of sweetness most Yakult drinkers are familiar with. My partner had both the 5th Ave and Iced Latte. Fair warning on the latte as the oat milk topping has a bit of a jelly consistency. It wasnt unpleasant but was a bit if a surprise when we went for an initial sip. Overall the Upstairs gives a very pampered and sophisticated feel that coordinates with the dining downstairs.
