This review is on the excellent customer service I received from Johnny Maldonado. He is perhaps the best salesperson I've ever come across, not just in mattress buying. He was respectful, honest, and just genuinely wanted to help. Mattress buying is not my favorite thing to do. I often feel like I'm being too picky, going from one bed to another trying to find the perfect one, while the salesperson sits with you on the other... After 3 other mattress stores, I found Johnny at Sit n Sleep in Pasadena, who normally works at Carson. He greeted me in a friendly manner and asked if I had a type of mattress in mind. After telling him my preference and budget, he walked me to several mattresses that fell into my search. He didn't try to convince me to buy or upgrade, he just wanted to make sure I found what I wanted. He gave me objective information like type and warranty so I could make my own decision. When I couldn't decide between two mattresses, he respectfully asked if I needed some time to test them. It seems like there's nothing more uncomfortable than lying on mattresses while someone watches over you. I appreciated that Johnny offered me space so I could test them without added pressure. I laid on my mattress for 15 peaceful minutes before making my decision. When I was ready to purchase, Johnny was very thorough in answering any questions I had. Buying a mattress feels like such an intimidating commitment but Johnny made sure all the fine print was explained to me. If you're looking for a mattress, look for Johnny Maldonado. I want to sit and sleep on Avalon in Carson paid $1700 a bed bedframe and two sets of sheets now the sheets $118 a sack that's a sheet a pillowcase and a top sheet I was told oh it's 100% Egyptian cotton I opened it up and I read the label made an America 100% cotton with fabric from Pakistan so I call and I get double talk needless to say I am not happy don't buy sheets from them because you're going to pay for the same shit you get at Walmart for a third of the price I just called Robert. sit and sleep told him be a Egyptian cotton sheets I bought for $118 our American and Pakistan he tells me well they're not really Egyptian cotton factor equal to know you told me for $118 still Egyptian cat well they're not really there like it I didn't pay $118 for like it but I guess I got screwed be where anybody going to sit and sleep they will lie to get your money read more

Very bad service by Marcus Montgomery. He was watching the football game while attending us and was also being disrespectful when asking questions for pricing. At one point he said my dad said it was too expensive which is why we didn't buy it but my dad doesn't even speak english! Amazing I have to deal with someone telling me I can't afford stuff I'm buying off of. The manager should definitely do something about this. I returned a frame; I called customer service to speak to Ronda Mendoza, l left several message, but no callback I called to speck with her supervisor I was put on hold for 30 minutes, I called the only person that tried to help me Mr. Robert from the Carson store he sent an email to her and attached her supervisor to it, I want my money for the return. After starting off with a totally bad experience at the Marina Pacifica Sit and Sleep; I walked out of that place and called the Carson Sit & Sleep THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I've ever received. I had set aside a full day to test drive mattresses & adjustable bases, I had been shopping since the middle of September and had finally narrowed my choices between Sears, Macy's and Sit and Sleep because of prior purchases through them. I called and talked to Juan who assured me he had plenty of time to help me. I explained my experience at the other store and he proceeded to listen to my needs, my concerns and had me use their equipment to measure the type of bed/firmness that was best for me. Putting the info together he was able to help me narrow several choices down to 2 and then we moved on to adjustable bases. Again he provided excellent information and suggestions. I returned the following day and purchased my final selection on both mattress and base and can't wait to enjoy them at home. I have to say the assistance I received from Juan was truly exemplary, and I appreciate it greatly. In a market where sales are more about numbers than customers it was refreshing to spend money with him versus being steered into something I would've regretted later. read more

The right bed for you is a really hard thing to gauge. What feels comfy in store might not work out so well after sleeping on it for a few weeks. We had a couple of problems that involved a warranty claim from a defective bed frame and a sleep trial period return which eventually resulted in us choosing a completely different mattress. The sales staff at Carson and Torrance, and even the online chat customer service reps were fantastic. They made what could have been a real arduous process feel very smooth and easy. They respected our decisions and feedback and helped us every step of the way. Big shout out to David at Carson and Mike at Torrance, both super pro and friendly! We'll definitely be back in the future for their customer service alone!... Hopefully not too soon though, fingers crossed for mattress number 3! read more

I cannot say enough wonderful words about my experience with Justin! Justin was so patient as I took 2 hours hopping from mattress to mattress before deciding on the Technogel. I am over the moon about my choice and 100% satisfied with my purchase. I suffer from lower back issues and Justin took the time to have me do the mattress test and then guided me through ALL the options and said "take your time" which I definitely took my time. Sales Associate Juan was great giving me full details about each mattress they sell there in store . There was a mishap in the computer system I was scheduled for Friday delivery and computer even called and said they would be here within 1-4 hours but no one showed up Wasted my time , taking off from work so I called store Teresa store manager took care of me went over and beyond to show me she appreciates me as a customer she gave me $100 off my bill and gave me a mattress protector retails $100 for my inconvenience . That's cool . But today I am still waiting on Delivery, it's almost 3 hours again (window is 2-5pm ) I've been calling store which Teresa has giving me status updates. But now she's with a customer so Mike answers the phone and he wants to just be generic with it saying your time is 2-5pm and not want to give me more details as his co worker did, he wants to be a robot and say least possibly or not look into this situation for me . I already got stood up yesterday I'm not trying to waste another day waiting , but this guy wants me to wait it out instead of checking for me . Can someone refresh his memory , he's working because I bought 2 sets of mattresses from his stores You should be doing the extra for me , not sounding like a bum lazy on the phone . Going into sit'n'sleep I wasnt sure what to expect but I was prepared to have to worry about fighting about the budget. We met Justin Cabrera and he was just an absolute pleasure to work with. He listened carefully and took my wife and I's needs seriously. Helped us try a few out and even tried his absolute best to stay within our budget. We spoke to Theresa on the phone before complete my in to make sure they had the temperpedic line we were interested. She was upbeat and knowledgeable and most importantly she was likable. We showed up close to closing with a good idea of what we wanted and Theresa worked with us to get us the best deal she could which far exceeded the amount we had been quoted from other mattress showrooms in the area. Kevin spent about an hour with my wife and I on a Saturday afternoon giving us the full tour. We left that day letting Kevin know we needed time to think things through. Two days later, we came back into the store at 6:55 pm and caught Kevin right before he had to clock out at 7 pm. He was so kind and generous that he stayed an extra hour and a half later to set us up with our paperwork and info for our brand new Tempur-Pedic. Talk about customer service! Bless your heart, Kevin! Overall, Sit-N-Sleep is a great place to go to if you're planning on investing in a quality mattress. All the people there are knowledgable and respectful. Surprisingly, given the many reviews for Eli and Teresa, Kevin is seriously the better, if not, the best associate there... Why?... Because he truly is (this is a very bias opinion given the fact that Kevin was the one who serviced us. Eli and Teresa are great too!).
