If I could give them a negative review, I would. Boo, Yelp! My spouse and I purchased an Aireloom Mattress on 11/28/15 at the Torrance location. Shannon was our sales associate. During the time of purchase, we were very clear that we needed our old TempurPedic mattress taken out of our house and delivered to another house, which was located about 3miles away from where we live. Shannon assured us that there will be no "surprises" or mishaps that will happen during delivery. She even wrote on our receipt that our old mattress will need to be delivered. When the delivery company arrived, we were notified that they are not allowed to deliver our old mattress because they are "independent contractors" and that it will be a liability for them. I immediately called Shannon to notify her of the situation, and she was in touch with the delivery company's supervisor, Alex. After their conversation, Shannon reassured me that they will be able to do the job of delivering my old mattress. After I hung up with Shannon, the supervisor of the delivery company then told me that they are now UNABLE to deliver the mattress. (While I was on the phone with Shannon, the delivery person was speaking to my husband and told him that usually delivery companies do not re-locate old mattresses, but usually for 50 dollars they will do it for us.) We refuse to pay delivery companies that try to extort us with "under the table" agreements. I have decided to cancel the order altogether. I spoke with Shannon that same day to ensure that my American Express card is refunded. My husband and I are extremely frustrated and dissatisfied with the service we have received. One would hope that if someone spends four thousand dollars on a mattress that they will receive impeccable customer service. Not at Sit and Sleep. Our experience with Sit and Sleep was nowhere near impeccable.. Be assured that we will take our business somewhere else. I will share this experience with all my friends and family so I can spare them the inconvenience, frustration, and deception that we had to experience with Sit and Sleep. read more

Had a great experience here today with my husband. Vicky (Vicki Vickie?) helped up into a new Tempurpedic. There was no pressure and she showed us several options in a wide range of prices. Next day delivery and take away of Our old mattress all for free YES PLEASE! The price was a little more than we wanted to spend but it's for a quality product. I cant find Tempurpedic products at lower rates anywhere! This was the third place we went to looking for a mattress and never did we even once legit consider purchasing at any of those places. read more

Update: We already rated yesterday on google for our purchase. However, this was still the most outstanding service we had especially if this was a mistake of our own. Thanks to Jesse L. He set the standards in really helping us whatever he can. To be clear, we bought a mattress yesterday all ready to go. As soon as we got home; it was the wrong size. We thought it was a king size mattress however it was a cal king. We were devestated since it was the wrong size. I called back about this minor mistake due to the excitement that gotten us. In a day, all was solved. We will get our mattress delivered and I got the mattress that I wanted in the first place. This new mattress was not in King size however they had it in cal king! Yay!! I recommend this to anyone wanting to have a mattress. It's worth the cost and it's worth the back injuries/ nerves from kicking in. Sleep well guys. read more

Great customer service! I was able to find a mattress that I like for a pretty cheap price. I checked out other places too but they were pretty expensive and delivery costs more than here. They can take away your old mattress when they come to deliver your new mattress and delivery is free if you buy a mattress that's over $300. I highly recommend this place. Ok. I purchased the mattress about 5 years ago and it was a good deal. I have looked at four different stores and what I found at the time was that some mattress manufacturers would use different model name of the same thing for different stores, this way, it would be difficult to do price matching. I could be wrong, but that was my impression at the time. I have no problem with the company and the sales team, but I also purchased a lifetime replacement mattress pad. I have washed this pad a few times and last week, the plastic film of the backing was melted after drying even at low heat, which I have had no problem before. A call to the store, the lady answered the phone told me to call Sit'n Sleep customer service. I then called that number and was told to call the mattress pad company directly, then gave me a wrong number. Yes, the running around... When I purchased this pad ($70), I was told no mater what happened to the pad, I bring it in, they would give me a new one. I know, should have asked the sales person to put that in writing... read more

I didn't initially want to go to Sit n Sleep because they are a large chain and I thought they would be overpriced. But, after a terrible experience at Ortho down the street (see my review) I thought "what the hell!" So in I walked and I just knew I would be surrounded by vultures...but nope! It was nice and peaceful. Everyone smiled and said hello but not in a sleazy salesperson sort of way. I went up to one of them and let them know what I was looking for. Sheldon was who helped me and he was awesome. He showed me the beds I was looking for and told me a little about them. He then said I should lie down on them and that he would be back to answer any questions I may have. Wow! That was cool. He left me there to lie down in all different positions without worrying about anyone staring at me! GREAT! He came back a little later and I told him I would like more time. "No problem" he said. After a bit I had some questions and called him over. He explained everything to me and was super helpful. I decided on the mattress I wanted and even asked him if he could lie next to me and move around to see how it felt. Then I asked him to sit on the side and bounce up and down, with me still on the bed. He didn't hesitate to help. I was sold! We went through the paperwork and setup a delivery date. I received two pillows, a mattress cover and a Larry bobblehead! The delivery guys came today, removed my old mattress, setup my new one and everything went great! I'm 100% satisfied with the entire Sit n Sleep experience. My parents are looking for a new mattress and I'll make sure they go to Sheldon at Sit n Sleep! I've been dreading the purchase of a new mattress for about a decade. My wife decided with no uncertainty that we were getting a mattress this week. I did some research. Decided I most definitely did not want a bed in a box or bag or any of the other variations of a mail order smelly piece of foam that was going to degrade in a year. Oh, and delivery of the new mattress and take away of the old one. We have a truck but I have physical limitations that made moving mattresses around an undesirable task. I looked at all the selections of mattress stores in the area online and decided that I liked the selection and pricing at Sit'n'Sleep. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by salesperson Christopher Vo. He took us to a device on the showroom floor that you lay on and takes measurements. At first, I thought it was a gimmick until it identified my wife and I based on where we were laying on the mattress. When it was finished it made recommendations of firmness that would fit my wives and my needs. I have to say, it was spot on. We tried several beds but we decided on the second mattress we tried. Christopher kept us in our price range too. He didn't try any hard sale tactics to up sell us. Plus, we got memory foam pillows AND and a mattress cover AND I would like to think an outstanding deal. Did I forget to mention the 10-year warranty? That certainly made this an even easier decision. Especially considering I am sure Sit'n'Sleep will be around at least that long. Delivery was set for the next day. Next day arrives and we get notification calls of expected delivery time. A 3-hour window. The delivery guys were spot on. A half hour into the delivery time. I got a call from Javier a couple of minutes before arrival. I went downstairs and waited for them. I was greeted by Javier and Noel. They confirmed our order, grabbed the mattress and pillows and we went up to our apt. They swapped mattresses and hauled off the wrapping. They were very courteous and efficient and didn't bang anything. I was very impressed that they were touting how much we were going to enjoy our new mattress. Even made the comment that we were trading up from an old beat up Pinto to a shiny new Benz. Pretty apropos analogy. It was another confirmation we made the right purchase. Noel is a beast! He carried the new mattress and the old one like they were a pizza. We were provided with exemplary service, top-notch products and more than fair pricing. Thank you, Christopher, Javier, and Noel. I went in looking to Sit & Sleep thinking "I'm going to be surrounded and chased by predatory vultures". My previous stop was at a large furniture store chain in Hawthorne on Ocean Gate (not naming them) where that was the case...... I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in and noticed how mellow and easy going everyone was. I looked at some mattresses up in front (the less expensive stuff is in front and the top of the line stuff is towards the back of the store) and I summoned a nearby sales person, Steve Moreno. Steve was very cordial, professional and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and showed me three other similar mattresses of differing firmness. After I settled on one, he quickly wrote up the order and scheduled me for next day delivery! The delivery guys were awesome. Hauled away my old mattress and set up the new one. All in all, a very fast and smooth transaction. All went super well.! The only knock against them is that they are at the super busy corner of 190th & Hawthorne Blvd. Getting in and out of their parking lot onto busy oncoming traffic is....well...not for the faint of heart! read more

I spoke with Shannon in Corporate and he was sincere in his want to understand what had happened, how he could address the issue, resolve it, and then use the end result as a training scenario for his employees in case a similar instance occured. After being so thoroughly ticked off I have to say he changed my mind about the company. Had a great experience today with 2 employees at this location and 1 one the phone. Vickie and Fred at this store were more helpful than even the corporate office. I was dealing with a mixup with a mattress that was delivered and it wasn't the one I bought. The location in Gardena was not helpful at all. I was on the phone with them for a few hours sent them everything they needed over via email and never got called back. Maria is their customer service representative and I must say I would give her a very bad marking on returning calls. I ended up getting very frustrated with them and came down to the Hawthorne store where I originally purchased the first bed. Fred helped us out, got on the phone and of course they answered the calls for him right away. He was able to get through in five minutes for what I was trying to do in five hours. Fortunately the sales rep Vicky that sold us the first bed was there and she was able to fix the entire mixup that was never my fault in the first place. I'm very disappointed in the protocol that corporate (Gardena location) takes In customer service. I was more satisfied with the attention I received at one of their stores employees then with the big guys running things. I will be writing a review on their store too. To sum up this review, Vicky, Fred and Alex (that was on the phone) helped out and I was able to get the correct mattress delivered to me by tomorrow. I consider mattress shopping about as daunting an experience as car shopping. In short, I hate it and would rather not deal with it!! But our back aches couldn't be ignored any longer so the bf and I decided to tackle the task a few days ago. We were so extremely surprised when we walked into this store and met Shannon! Sheldon needs to be arrested! It should not be legal to give us the deal that he did! He was hilarious and super helpful on us getting the mattress that we have sat on, lied on, researched on for about a week the queen Kingcoil! We are now about a month and a half the mattress came in firm and they said it takes about a month or so to break in to where it is in the showroom and right now i say it's about halfway there. In any case I'm sure it'll get better and I trust Sheldon, hell he even threw in quite possibly the best pillows I've ever had (don't bother with that right wing nut Mypillow guy, lolz) Sub-0 pillows are so cool to my head and it has a firm side and a fluffy side!. He also threw in a mattress cover and bunch of discounts to basically bring the price down to $200 below retail after all the freebies, fees, and taxes. As soon as we walked in we were given a warm welcome by Fred. He guided us through the BEDmatch and made 6 good suggestions right off the bat. We ended up purchasing the 6th (which was not far off from his 2nd guess). We didn't feel pressured or rushed, and Fred made sure to address all of our concerns before we made our purchase.
