Moist cakes, cute, and delicious. Had some To go for someone's birthday and it was definitely soft. moist, milky, and fruity.

Checked out the soft opening of Sixping Teamenjoin (replacing the original bakery). It's in the plaza with Don's Café and One Dragon, the parking is as expected. They were really busy and it's a small space but luckily we didn't wait long. The staff was working hard and very friendly (the older lady was hilarious). Food was hot, fresh, and nostalgic. Especially enjoyed the scallion pancake, savory sticky rice roll, XLB, and egg pancake with scallion egg

It is busy for soft opening!

Six Ping have change this location to a Chinese breakfast spot. It is still spot opening right now. But there are a lot of potential for this concept to be successful. The food taste really good, the chef is from Taiwan so it is more Taiwan breakfast flavor here. But the price can be better like the egg pancake is a little bit expensive. The service was pretty good.

Stopped by Six Ping on a Saturday afternoon after lunch at a restaurant in the same complex! We purchased the pandan cake and Thai milk tea cream bread for $2.75 each then 2 scoops of banana milk and Oreo cream cheese gelato for $4 each for a subtotal of $13.50 (note that they don't take card for purchases under $5). The space was clean and welcoming, with a booklet up front to browse cakes for order. I haven't tried the pastries we purchased yet, but the gelato flavors were unique, creamy, and refreshing! There's no seating inside, but there are 2 tables with 6 chairs total outside. We opted to chill here and enjoy the Sunday afternoon breeze.

I've been going here for as long as I can remember and it's so good. I really like their savory breads and they're all very cheap and worth it. My family always buys the mango cake here. It is more expensive ($50) but it's really good. The icing is not too sweet, theres fresh mango and fruit on it, there is a layer of flan/pudding in between and a layer of mango inside the cake as well. The workers are very nice and they have so many options.

I asked no package because it will be consumed in a minute

My biggest pet peeve is that the owner didn't manage the biz pages on all of the Six Ping Bakeries 六品烘焙. This page was moved from Metropole Center to Dun Huang Plaza during Bellaire Blvd reconstruction in 2012-2015. The reviews were all over the places. I think this page didn't move back to Metropole (near Mala Sichuan) until 2017. I have been to all Six Ping Bakeries. This one is the smallest and has the best aroma than others. During CoVid-19 food service restriction period in 2020, they struggled to stay open. It was the saddest in Chinatown history. They closed more days then opened days. Things improved in 2021 but still operating under precaution. I praise for their business strategy by allowing few customers inside at the same time. Because I crave for the Hong Kong Buns once a while. It's far better than eating donuts. In 2022, inflation doesn't stop me from coming back for those delicious baked buns. They always have art cakes. That's why I'm here today to grab a slice of beautiful tasty cake.

Basically a cheaper version of 85C Bakery. The specialty pastries are pretty large and they're only $3. The pies and cakes are pretty unique, are fairly priced ($5 for the minis) and aren't too sweet. I recommend the three that I've photographed: the mango mousse, the chocolate bear shaped mousse, and a durian pie.

Small tradition Chinese bakery in an old strip center of Chinatown. Large varieties of fresh bakes that were priced lower than the competitors. The size of the bakes was larger too. Our party brought several types of red bean filled buns. The red beans filling was generous and the bread was soft. We enjoyed the buns very much with our afternoon coffee at home. There were no tables nor chairs for indoor consumption. I will return if I am in the area.

COVID-19: Open and masks worn with a plastic barrier!! The owner is Taiwanese!!! A TAIWANESE BAKERY Y'ALL YUSSSS. There were SO many quality breads, some Taiwanese staples...and others that were so brilliant like pandan coconut and a sponge cake bread with pandan, taro AND vanilla? YES. Their breads are what I am used to: buo luo/pinapple bun, breads with rou song/pork floss, and ingredients like taro and custard. Man! I have been looking to get Taiwanese bread outside of 85C (because 85C is definitely more "white-washed" and overpriced, let's be real). Six ping is it!!! I was also pleased to know that they have multiple locations, but all sprinkled around the Chinatown area. I'm pumped that I know I can get fluffy, delicious, fresh and TASTY asian breads outside of 85C. All of the breads I picked were around $2. The friendly and kind lady working today at this location was so sweet. Do know that there's a $10 minimum for credit card use, so if you don't plan on getting a lot of items...bring cash! Plenty of parking in this parking lot shared with other restaurants. Come through and support local y'all.

Asian bakery that has an excellent assortment of flavors. The pastries tend to be light and fluffy with smooth and creamy, but not overly sweet filling. I was warned not to purchase too much because you want to eat it fresh. I wish I could have tried everything.

    Happy Birthday, Me!

What's nudged this place up to 5 stars for me is they have really improved their coffee game, specifically their quality of cappuccino's. Previously it seemed more of latte, but now to me its a legit Capp. Their choice of pastries hasn't changed, which gives you a good assortment of choices and they have added an additional barista or server which also is a nice touch for service. The only niggling items, parking can be tough, so you'll have to either walk a block or be quick to find a place close by. Regardless, definitely give this place a go to come for a pastry and coffee.

Inside you will also find French pastries, coffees and teas, gelato, milkshakes, sandwiches and macaroons. I felt the most interesting items were the French pastries as they are cute and tasty as well. Also, they plate the pastries nicely when you dine in as an added bonus. I tried the Chocolate Royale and the Ruby. Chocolate Royale - a petit chocolate mouse slice with flat chocolate panels along the sides. It is delicate and tasty. If you're a chocolate lover, this is definitely up your alley. Ruby - visually this looks like a strawberry Hershey kiss, with red powder on the exterior and a top piece of foil to resemble foil on the wrapper of a hershey kiss. Inside, it's filled with a strawberry cream and has a chocolate base. I just wish there was more chocolate in this one. They have plenty of seating inside as well as along the sidewalk. Inside you have the more fancy tables, whereas outside, they're more weather resistant and not as upscale in appearance. The soft drinks to drink along with your sweets are in a cold case along the hotel side of the space and you just take them to the register as you order. One of the most surprising things when you come here are the relatively affordable prices as you might expect them to be more for being a coffee shop attached to a 5-star hotel with a helipad.

We finally came around to checking it out and OMG YES. It absolutely is worth the hype. As a lover of egg tarts and someone who is also very particular about it - these have won my heart! I also heard great things about the mango mochi so we couldn't leave without those. Thankfully they still had some in stock. I heard they sell out quickly especially on weekends. Those also lived up to its hype. SO YUMMY! Tastes so fresh including the mangoes. My kiddo who LOVES mango anything loved them so much! My husband also got 2 savory pastries (I forgot what they were called and I forgot to take a picture) and those were yummy too. Perfectly flakey crust just like the egg tarts. We wanted to get sesame balls but they were sold out. Customer service was great. The guy that took our order was very nice. It was pretty busy but he moved through the line quickly. There's some seating inside if you want to eat there. Prices are very reasonable at $2 each for the mochi and egg tarts. The savory pastries were $3. It's located in a shared lot/area. Parking can be tight and limited on a busy weekend day but they have parking right out front for the Eck bakery customers. Also note that if you pay with card it's a 2.5% charge so cash is better if you have it. We didn't but we know now for future. We had a great experience here and will definitely be back. Next time we'll come earlier and get a bigger order and try their other offerings.
