Got here just in time before closing on a Saturday night and I got to thank the staff for being patient and friendly when we came in with our group of 8 for the first time. They made good suggestions and even helped us celebrate a special occasion which was super appreciated. This is no ordinary dessert shop. Delicious Edible art would be a more accurate description. You can tell care and effort was placed into making these not only taste good but look absolutely delectable. You'll be eating with your eyes as soon as you near the glass cases showcasing the various wonders. Recommend to grab a few to share with friends, the half dollar sized chocolates are a win. The ice cream pops and giant pillow shaped treats are also highly recommended.

Returning to the 6th dimension to try some more desserts, and to see if it's still as good as when I had it several years ago. Still unchanged, which is a plus in my book. I really like and appreciate the artistic quality of their desserts. This would be an awesome date place, or special occasion dessert place. We got their brownie chocolate garden dessert and kept eating the edible flowers. I felt like I was eating healthy, LOL. Great service, and great presentation. The mushrooms were made of pure sugar and the "grass" was matcha.

This has been on my list for quite some time now. I ordered the mango mousse cake but felt disappointed by it because it lacked some more mango flavor. Im not sure if its because of the season but it tasted plain. Personally don't feel it's worth $16. Place is small and seating is just counter top.

I drop by almost every other Saturday to pick up a nice desert from Sixth Course. All the deserts are so cute and are very tasty. It's really cool to see the designs and flavors change over time with the seasons etc. You can also sometimes see them making the desserts inside the back area

I love sweets that taste as wonderful as they look, which Sixth Course has an abundance of. Every beautifully decorated and crafted chocolate is a mixture of interesting and unforgettable flavors. I especially enjoyed the earl grey tea caramel chocolate! The cake was light and fluffy; I couldn't get enough of it. Lately, the teddy bear chocolate was lightly dusted with some edible iridescent powder that made it extra adorable. I felt a bit sad while I bit into its yummy head haha~ The dining area is clean and cool. I enjoyed looking at all the framed comics depicting Sixth Course staff's baking adventures :) Also, the lovely baker who helped me with my order was kind and helpful. I can't wait to return for more treats in the near future!

Went here for dessert. Street parking only. The inside is cozy and bright. Staff were friendly. The selections were aesthetically appealing and amazingly crafted. A little pricy tho but I got some chocolate and coffee.

We came on a saturday afternoon expecting a long line since the pictures and reviews of this place look amazing! To our surprise, the store was actually empty. I believe this is due to the location being quite residential and parking is very hard to find in this area. We probably looped around 3-4 times before we found a parking spot. If this shop opened up in the south bay area I can almost guarantee they would be sold out every single day. Location is everything. The cake was really good! The mouse on the strawberry shortcake had really strong strawberry flavor while not being too sweet. The cake itself was a little bit dense and sweet but we think this might be due to the slower turnaround. Their chocolates look amazing! My friends got the ice cream and sorbet pops. The flavors are super unique and they loved it!

An absolute gem in the mission. I have been coming to this spot for nearly a decade(?!). Creative, curated masterpieces! Edible art! The chef here is really thoughtful regarding local and seasonal ingredients and my mind has been blown more times than I can count. Mother earth cake anyone??? If you see it, get the mango chili lime gelato pop. The staff is always welcoming, and the space is *very* photo op friendly, good lighting, fresh flowers.. the lot. Perfect for treating yourself or bringing a beautiful gift to a friend. They also do custom cakes for all occasions. J'adore Sixth Course!

Such a cute little haute patisserie with an amazingly welcoming and informative staff. This is one of those establishments where people refer to an unseen pastry master they refer to as "Chef." It felt like I was walking into something even Gordon Ramsey couldn't find fault in. More than anything, the food was great. The macarons, many of which are gluten free, were unique and tender. I recommend stopping in!

Popped in to check out this place while exploring the Mission district. My friend expressed his love for it several times and mentioned they change their flavors by season. They sell a variety of eye catching items including icecreams, pastries, macarons, and truffles. We ended up trying a cranberry curd, cranberry orange relish filled vanilla tart shell topped with meringue. At first, I thought it was a bit pricey (~$12) but the quality is well worth the price. The tart shell was surprisingly soft and moist, the meringue was airy and snappy, and the curd was super smooth and tart. I would have tried all of their items but we were saving room for dinner reservations.

Was super excited to try Sixth course on our recent visit to SF! Boy! The creativity of these desserts were gorgeous. I immediately picked a few favorites and my family picked what they wanted. The cakes tasted really good and I can see all the effort and creativity that goes into it. The staff is great too. When you walk into the store you can go to the very back and see through the glass window what looks like where all the baking happens. Very clean and neat! We also picked up a few macrons and they were delicious. Some of them tasted better than the others and some were less flavorful. We also got to park right off the street on a weekend so it wasn't super busy in the area. This is a good try if you are in the area.

came here to buy a birthday cake for my dad - the owner came out to share her thoughts between a couple options we were debating, she was super friendly and helpful, even bringing out blueberries used in one of the cakes (Summer Blues - the one we ended up picking!) to sample, along with a "happy birthday" chocolate plaque for the occasion. the store overall was clean and simplistic, with ~12 cakes / pops to choose from on that day. the cake itself looked like a piece of art, and was superb in taste as well - well-balanced fruity and creamy flavor, not too sweet, with nice crunchy layers juxtaposing in texture. we had a great experience and will come back for future occasions!

Are the macarons supposed to be hard and crunchy the next day? we purchase a dozen and the first day it was a bit chewy, which was how we like it, but the next day it was hard already..

Is it open today or Tomorrow ( it says on google and yelp that it's closed all days) ? What are their hours?

    they open at 2:00

Are any of the desserts vegan?

As I remember, they are not vegan.

Our tour guide (forgot his name...!) was so welcoming as he greeted each of us and walked us through the factory. We started with a quick overview of Dandelion Chocolate's history and a handful of samples :3 The actual workshop was just around the corner, hosted in an airy kitchen space. We were given a rundown of the chocolate-making process and the locally-sourced toppings before being invited to create our own bars, by pouring warm chocolate into the molds and quickly adding our choice flavors before they hardened. YUMMMM I may have had more than a few samples as we decorated :3 All throughout, the smell of rich chocolate enveloped us like a warm hug... Once our bars were in the fridge, our tour guide took us to an adjacent meeting room where we tasted hot cocoa and learned about cocoa bean harvesting. Zipped through Q&A about the factory-- passed by so fast! We were back in the room to crack open our finished bars. All except my dad's came out intact (broke into 3 pieces!), but our guide apologized profusely and gifted us a complimentary bar as a token of apology...! My dad was of the mindset that broken or whole, it all tastes the same (lolol) but it was a kind gesture nonetheless :') We stuck around to taste some of Bloom cafe's ice cream offerings, which were phenomenal! Truly a great spot to appreciate fine chocolates. We can't wait to come back for another event!!

I booked about a week in advance which I would definitely advise - these tours fill up! I was the only non-local attendee so it seems like Dandelion is best known within the city. The tour was great - our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the chocolate making process and made the experience fun! We learned about cacao beans and even got to taste the cacao fruit - which was interesting. We then went through the whole process from bean to bar and walked through the factory which was a really neat experience. There were lots of samples along the way which I enjoyed. One of the chocolate makers gave us a sneak peak of an upcoming chocolate bar! The area is spacious and there was a lot of standing - so something to be mindful of if you sign up for a tour. We ended the tour in the front room where we were treated to a free hot chocolate to end our experience. The front room also had a section of samples of their current chocolate offerings. I was happy to try them all before selecting my to-go chocolate for the ride home. I opted for the Mexican hot chocolate and it was spicy and delicious. On my way out, I saw a group arrive for a chocolate-making class so it seems like they have a bunch of different class options! I would certainly come back here for a class or to show the tour to friends and family.

I really like that you can choose exactly how many of each flavor you want in your box. I didn't realize that before, but it's a great option because you could literally get one of everything if you wanted to try them all. There was also a vegan raspberry option since the regular raspberry had sold out for the day, and honestly you couldn't tell the difference. It was delicious. I also tried the lemon in store, and the raspberry was my favorite. One small thing is that once they're bagged up, it can be a little hard to tell which flavor is which since they look pretty similar on the outside. Not a big deal, just something to keep in mind if you're trying to remember what's what. The owner mentioned he's had the shop for 30 years, which you can feel when you're in there.
