They brought us a Saratoga bottle that ultimately cost $10 + tax + tip. I find this to be ridiculous and a cheap trick. They charge fine steak house prices for what they serve ... food is not even close to any steak house I've been to. The skirt steak was so fatty I spit most of it out. The pasta with seafood had minimal sauce and hardly any seafood. $45 corkage fee. Are you kidding me? Luckily I wasn't that hungry when we arrived. Three or four different waiters/waitresses came to our table. I was getting dizzy. The chef's wife walks around, but never said or asked anything. The chef came out twice with different palate cleansers, but had nothing to say. He does this with all the guests. Why? Never again.

There are plenty of vegetarian options and that's always a plus. One other thing to note: the fork that was in the napkin placed at the table was VERY dirty. Not something you typically see at a nice restaurant.

The scrumptious menu won me over before I walked through the intimate door. The signature lobster bisque was creamy & perfect as was the crispy mushroom soup. It was a difficult choice between the fillet mignon, sea bass, seared duck breast in an orange brandy sauce, boneless short ribs or rack of lamb with a cherry kirsch glaze. Entrees came with mashed sweet or garlic potatoes & and melody of roasted mushrooms , brussel sprouts & carrots. Dessert was easier, the peanut butter torte & pistachio crème brûlée won us over. The wine list was enchanting, some of our faves were here! Even ice wine, port & chocolate wine from Amsterdam are available. We could have brought our own bottle for a corsage fee, but we have to drive home. Hard liquor cannot be brought into the restaurant. Twenty of us at six tables were close together. The Lava Cake itself was really good -- the dulce de leche really brought everything together. The cheesecake was also really good. My sister and I were looking for a new spot to dine and catch up, and she recommended Sixty Vines in Boca. Since she always has great suggestions, I decided to give it a try. As soon as we walked in, I was immediately struck by the beautiful, cozy atmosphere. It had a Tulum, Mexico vibe, absolutely stunning, with a great energy. The staff was friendly and seated us right away. We ordered the Brussels sprouts, Cali chicken, beet and edamame hummus, and for drinks, I went with their macchiato, while my sister opted for red wine. I was beyond impressed by the flavors of the food and especially the coffee. Honestly, it was probably one of the best macchiatos I've had in the U.S. I had to ask our waiter about the coffee beans. The manager, Hayley, came over and she was the sweetest, most hospitable person. Her smile truly made our night. When she realized how much I loved the coffee, she was kind enough to give me a box of the coffee beans, which are from a local shop in Oakland Park called Calusa Coffee Roasters. I'm most definitely going to visit soon! Hayley, along with our waiter, took great care of us throughout the evening. She even gifted us the restaurant's Rosemary Soy Candles, which smelled incredible! Chef Sal also stopped by our table and treated us to a complimentary plate of food, which was absolutely delicious. He was incredibly kind and welcoming. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant and the amazing people who work here. The hospitality was top-notch, and the food was delicious. I'm already looking forward to coming back for Valentine's Day. A huge thank you to the staff for their incredible service. We're excited to return again and again! read more

I recently celebrated my birthday with a Sunday brunch at Sixty Vines, and overall, it was a memorable experience. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, clean, and spacious. When we arrived, it was fairly empty, but it got busier as time went on. We started off with mimosas, which was a highlight. For $30, you get a bottle of champagne and access to a mimosa table where you can customize your drink with different fruits and juices. Such a fun and creative concept! For starters, we shared the orange morning bread (brown butter cinnamon bites, citrus icing, candied walnuts, coffee crumble ), and it was absolutely delicious. My main entrée was the pork pappardelle (pork shoulder, fennel, san marzano tomato, basil, pecorino romano), which was equally fantastic--rich, flavorful, and satisfying. However, some of my friends were less impressed with their choices. A couple mentioned that the portion sizes felt small, and the pizza was a bit dry and lacking in flavor. The main reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the service. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty when we arrived, I found myself having to chase down the waitress multiple times. This shouldn't have been the case, especially given how slow things were at the start of our visit. All in all, Sixty Vines is a great spot for a celebration, with an inviting atmosphere and unique touches like the mimosa bar. There's definitely room for improvement in the service department, but I'd still recommend giving it a try. read more
