Service was amazing. It's a full blown operation in there. There's so much staff and everyone is super attentive. The steaks were amazing and cooked to perfection. The sides besides the Caesar salad were a bit underwhelming. I do think the steak fries should have some salt/pepper on them. The potatoes are reaaaalllyyyy cheesy which made them a little salty. I couldn't believe how huge the butter cake was, so good! Overall still an amazing experience. There were people of all ages there and it was nice to see. read more

The waiter came over for my drink order and I asked for a few minutes to decide on my choice of steaks; decided on the sirloin steak along with salad. I've been coming to NY Prime for 15 years, and it's hands down my favorite steakhouse. We came this past Tuesday to celebrate my birthday, and as always, they exceeded every expectation. We started with a few drinks at the bar, where Yardin was the absolute sweetest. She took such great care of my parents before we even arrived, which meant so much. And the exceptional service didn't stop there -- they truly rolled out the red carpet for us. Stanley made sure I felt incredibly special for my birthday, and the team helped us select the perfect bottle of red wine to pair with dinner. The food was absolutely amazing. What makes the steaks here so special are the high broilers they use, creating that perfect crust while seasoning them simply and perfectly with salt, pepper, and butter. My boyfriend's go-to appetizer is the baked shrimp, while I opted for something lighter with the beef carpaccio. For entrées, I ordered the bone-in filet, and we also shared the veal, a 16oz NY strip, and the ribeye -- all cooked to perfection. I couldn't skip my favorite béarnaise sauce. For sides, we went all out: creamed spinach, fettuccine Alfredo, cheesy mashed potatoes, onion rings, potatoes Lyonnaise, and charred Brussels sprouts. Every single one was delicious. Came here for dinner. Waited about 20 minutes for our table. One sat service was fairly prompt. Ordered a 11/2 Ceaser salad, tomahawk steak, baked shrimp dinner, creamed spinach, hashed browns, fettuccine Alfredo and mushrooms. The sides and shrimp were very good. The steak for $135 which was sliced was not the price. Very fatty and not a lot of meat. Butter cake for $32 was good but pricy. Haven't been there in a while, but it's just as I remembered. Freshly made Caesar salad with anchovies along with Gulf Coast oysters to start. I decided to go with the 16oz. In house 30 day wet aged med/rare NY strip and potato wedges. Our server was as pleasant as one would expect from such a prominent restaurant! I did miss my long time friend Nick who's been on staff there forever, however even in his absence he did make sure that dessert was on him. Thanks Brother! The mood was great for couples night with live singing and piano playing the entire evening. It really set the mood for a great evening. We've been to other steakhouses: Gallaghers, Flagler and now NY Prime. For us NYP was a standout. We started with a drink at the bar which was great. (Wish there was a happy hour but oh well). We hung there for a bit catching some of the Sunday games and head to our reservation shortly after. Our server Kevin was on point! Terrific with suggestions related to sizing of appetizers, steaks, just all around very attentive and great personality. We started with the Onion Rings, arugula and apple salad and the bacon. Just wow. Loved everything. Their special sauces too were great (including ketchup). For mains we did a tomahawk and a NY strip. Both cooked perfectly. The tomahawk was a better cut of meat, NY strip was just okay. A bit fatty but was still good. Sides we had asparagus, baked potato and the large wedge fries. My only gripe was I got 5 stalks of asparagus! Finished off with a butter cake which we all split and left very full and satisfied!!! read more

We went as a large group. All of the dishes were very well executed. And we had a set of staff tending to only our table. They were not well equipped for children and did not have a highchair or booster seat.-we were able to let the slide and our son used a regular chair. However, we ordered pasta for our child and out of the entire table of 15 people they brought our two year-olds dish last. This was disappointing and felt very thoughtless. Some more training in this area would help staff for sure since the food is so delicious. read more

I Had been here about 10 or 15 years ago when I ate red meat and I do remember enjoying my meal but since I don't eat red meat anymore I hadn't really had a desire to return. Luckily for me my husband and my son wanted to get a great steak (as they both love doing now and then) and on top of that we had a gift card from a friend. My son and hubby both had their ribeye and they both loved it; they didn't say they loved it but seeing them eat and seeing how clean their plates were told me everything I needed to know. My chair was playing tag with the woman behind me. Couldn't find our waiter all meal - seemed like he was tending to 10 other tables. We ordered wine and it didn't come out until our entree. Our waiter only poured 2 of the 4 glasses. We asked for our salad to be split which it wasn't, and our dressing on the side never came. We had to get another staff member to bring us dressing which took 5 minutes. Inside was very cold then got hot. $80 steak wasn't the best. Delicious steak fries. Chocolate cake was ok. This restaurant is very overpriced for what they offer. We had 3 filet mignon which were just okay. The sautéed onions were salty but tasty, the loaded potatoes tasted like baked potatoes not loaded the 10 asparagus we got were thin and hard. The desserts were good. Our server was amazing. He was exceptionally professional and polite. The thing that I'm angry about is I ordered my filet mignon medium to well and it came the first time too raw even though they asked if they could butterfly it. I usually don't but I agreed. The second time the same steak came it was still too red and soaked in grease. I told them I'm disgusted with it and sent it back. The pasta was not good as well it was bland and too mushy My husbands $75 steak came out with so much gristle and fat he couldn't even eat it. He sent that back too. Been coming here for years. This place used to be so good. We were there last night. Way overpriced now for what it is. The quality of the meat has been going downhill the last few times we've been there. I ordered the double rib veal chop and it was more gristle, fat, muscle and whatever than meat. I just realized it wasn't a double rib! My wife's filet was undercooked as was my cousins steak. Jammed in a corner at a too small table. Steaks - call it 4.5 stars Boca/ Atlanta / Myrtle Beach - if you have a steak craving, they have a place for you. An old school steakhouse, this one is located in Boca Raton and is a little off the beaten path but worth the trip. In a town full of steakhouses, this one is what I would tend to classify more as a business dinner place - it is just the vibe I get here.... Deals getting done over dinner. It did not strike me as a romantic destination. Maybe you would view it differently. With that being said, I had the opportunity to meet some colleagues here for dinner and since we arrived from different locations, met at the bar for some libations and catching up. The bar was doing a brisk business when we arrived but managed to score a few seats for our group. Bartender was awesome and she was just fantastic with the service. Drinks were well made and man-sized. Perfect. We had a table reserved for dinner but since we were having such a good experience with our bartender, we opted to continue our discussions there and eat at the bar. We skipped apps and went straight for the mains. I went with the sliced edge of ribeye with the onion straws. Food arrived cooked perfectly and those onion straws were something else - just amazing. My companions had other steaks and we also ordered some thick cut bacon, hash browns and sauteed mushrooms. Sides were very good with the exception of the hash browns which were just ok- didn't really have any taste to be fair. We were washing it all down with some nice reds. Overall, a great meal and we were suitably stuffed when it was all said and done. Summing up: great service, very good food, average atmosphere. Definitely a good place to have that business dinner. I made a reservation for my husband, daughter and I to celebrate Father's Day. We got there at 5:30 for our 6pm reservation, with the intention of having a drink at the bar before we sat down. When we got in I checked in with the hostess and she told us that our table wouldn't be ready until 6... which we were fine with. I went over and told her that I made the reservation for 3, however we would be two and a highchair. To which she responded that they didn't have highchairs... I asked if it would be possible to sit in a booth as I had a 20 month old and I didn't think she would make it through dinner in a chair. She said "ehh not sure timing will work out for that. We only have 4 booths". I ended up snagging another reservation at another steakhouse and informed the front that we wouldn't be dining with them, to which her only response was "ok bye".
