We had an 8:15 p.m. reservation for a party of seven to celebrate our niece's 21st birthday. Our entire party arrived at approximately 7:45 p.m. and checked in with the host stand. We fully understood that we were early and were told that we had been checked in and that our table would be ready closer to our reservation time. We had absolutely no issue with that. While waiting, we found an area near the bar and ordered appetizers and drinks, spending close to $300 before we were ever seated for dinner. At approximately 8:20 p.m., after our reservation time had passed and we had received no update, we approached the host stand to make sure they knew we were still waiting. We were told that they were waiting for seats to become available and that we would be seated soon. At 8:30 p.m., we were still waiting. When we approached the host stand again, the response was noticeably less courteous. We were told that they could not ask people to leave their tables and that we would be seated when they could accommodate us. At some point during this exchange, we were also told that once we were eventually seated, they would provide us with complimentary appetizers. I want to be very clear: this was never about receiving free food or having something taken off our bill. We had already spent close to $300 on drinks and appetizers while waiting. I neither wanted nor needed complimentary appetizers. What I wanted was for our reservation to be honored within a reasonable amount of time--or, at the very least, for someone to communicate honestly with us, acknowledge the problem, and treat our family with respect. Offering free appetizers did nothing to address the actual issue. By approximately 8:35 p.m.--20 minutes after our reservation time and nearly 50 minutes after we initially checked in--it was apparent that there was no urgency to seat us and, more importantly, no meaningful communication about when we could expect to be seated. At that point, General Manager Landry became involved. Unfortunately, rather than attempting to de-escalate the situation or offer any reasonable solution, his attitude made an already frustrating situation substantially worse. When I reminded him that we had an 8:15 reservation and asked when we could realistically expect to be seated, he again told us that we would be seated when they could seat us. I explained that our party included a pregnant mother-to-be who had not eaten and was beginning to feel unwell, as well as a young child. There was no apparent concern or effort to accommodate the situation. When I pressed him for a more specific timeframe, Landry responded that "it's just a reservation." That statement was astonishing to me. A reservation is a commitment made between a restaurant and its customer. I certainly understand that restaurants run behind and that unexpected circumstances occur. What I do not understand is a General Manager dismissing a customer's reservation as though it carries no significance whatsoever. I asked Landry what Sixty Vines' policy would be if I had arrived 30 minutes late for my reservation. Instead of addressing the obvious point behind the question, he accused me of being "aggressive" and informed me that, if he wanted to, he could simply ask our party to leave. That response was completely inappropriate. Rather than acknowledging that his restaurant had failed to honor our reservation, apologizing for the delay, or attempting to find a solution, the General Manager chose to threaten to remove a family that had been patiently waiting and had already spent nearly $300 at the restaurant. A few minutes later, Landry walked past our group and visibly shook his head at us. It was dismissive, disrespectful, and entirely unbecoming of someone entrusted with managing a restaurant and representing the Sixty Vines brand. Ironically, the person who demonstrated the most professionalism and empathy that evening was the young server who had been taking care of us near the bar. She observed what was happening, approached us on her own, apologized for the situation, and asked whether there was anything she could do to help. Her response stood in stark contrast to that of the General Manager. By this point, we had closed our tab. The pregnant member of our party had become so unwell while we waited that she actually vomited. We informed Landry of what had happened, and again there appeared to be little concern. His primary focus remained his assertion that we had "yelled" at him. To be clear, customers who have waited well beyond their reservation time, received virtually no meaningful communication, and then been told by the General Manager that "it's just a reservation" are understandably going to become frustrated. A capable General Manager should know how to manage that frustration professionally rather than escalating the situation and threatening to remove the customers. Ultimately, we left without ever having the birthday dinner. read more

Ok so it's only my second time to visit sixty Vines but it was incredible again. I suggested it to my sister for us to take my dad for Father's Day on Saturday night. She checked out the menu and thought it would work for the kids although her husband seemed somewhat skeptical about the menu. Because of the kids commitments in games we had a reservation at 5:30 and our table was waiting for us when we arrived. It was like the four-handed massage that you always dream about there were always somebody there to take care of us. We tried it out the meatballs again which I love and the to cheese and meat tray. All of them were wonderful the sweet candied dates bread was really nice as were the meats and local cheeses. The only complaint about the board was it we needed more flatbread and when he brought out second he only brought three pieces for a party at 7. Moving on to dinner both the kids had pasta and we're really excited when they also got another meatball. The meatballs were Waygu and pork. My sister and mother both had the Crab Louie and raved about it it was a huge portion. My brother-in-law and I both had the pork shop thing which was really nice with the carrot and a side order of the duck fat potatoes that were exquisite. My dad went for the waygu steak which he loves and I had a bite and it was so tender. And don't forget to save room for dessert, we split on our table the olive oil Citrus cake and the the berries and cream something or another and they were Epic. When the kids heard us ordering they were kind of ho-hum about it and they couldn't get enough. I could go for just an appetizer a glass of wine and dessert and it would be plenty to leave you fulfilled. Can't wait for them to open in Dallas at the crescent and might have to go look for a job there! read more

Had to create an account to review this place (thank my niece) Came in for lunch with my niece and friend. Sat in the semi booths. It was wino Wednesday and our waitress was so excited about it too. Made us laugh cause she expressed that it's their "premium wines they offer by the glass for half off" and when we asked her why it's her favorite day she said because she has expensive taste but on a beer budget!!! Isn't that the truth with the holidays!!! Which got us to try the Sparkling Brut Rose Nicholas. Because I have a beer budget and the wine was a great recommendation. I had two! Our waitress Courtney, or shall I say the rebel force. Lead us through a great lunch experience. She walked us through the menu since we were trying this place for the first time. And we never felt rushed with all of our questions. She recommended their "speciality pizza" which she described perfectly. It was a smoky spicy pepperoni style And their new California club sandwich, which was released this week. So our food was great. Definitely want to come back for dinner. However, the real star was our waitress. Her bubbly personality, her hilarious mannerisms and her fantastic team effort really shined through! It looked like her "section" was full, but you could see her leading a hand or arm or whatever her coworkers needed. I left her my business card and I hope she calls. I am in love with this place. From the wait staff to the food and the décor, everything about this place impresses me. We usually make a reservation because it is nonstop hustle and bustle here. Upon our arrival, we are seated immediately as our table is always ready for us. The waiter/waitress brings out water right and we're never looking around for them to take our order. Food arrives quick and hot (no lukewarm or cold food served here). When we dine with kids, they have crayons and a coloring page waiting at the table with high chairs. We always apologize for the mess the kids make and they only smile back and exchange high fives with the kids. I've tried several dishes here and I can't say any dish disappointed me. The two dishes we always get to share are the Burrata & Crispy zucchini - SO delicious, so divine, so amazing. One entrée that stands out amongst the other great ones is the Rib pork - so juicy and tender. Even the roasted carrots are amazing - sage brown butter!!! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The restaurant is classy, casual, hip, cool, fun, and all of the above. They have patio seating, bar seating, and plenty of regular table seating. You can dine here with girlfriends, kids, grandparents, pretty much everyone! I am very belated on this, but wanted to write about the wonderful experience we had celebrating my daughter's 16th birthday here on August 9! Katie and Allison were PHENOMENAL!! They were extremely friendly with us and our guests and also very helpful with me rushing to decorate in the hour prior to the party. They sang and danced with us to the DJ while keeping things running extremely well during dinner and dessert, and also recommended some killer wines for those of us at the adult table! :-) At the end of the evening, they helped us tear down and pack up my decorations. We rented out the greenhouse and were able to bring a LOT of our own items in to really personalize it. The atmosphere was EXACTLY what my daughter wanted, and I was happy it was so close to home so more of her friends could attend. The food was OUTSTANDING! Kids loved the pizza and pastas, and the adults enjoyed our wagyu steaks! We also hired a DJ, and it worked perfectly as the greenhouse setup provided a work area for him and dance floor for us. Came in on a "bubble Monday" Half off anything with bubbles The restaurant was empty but our waitress was busy! She had a large group of ladies and a few other tables including us. That being said she rocked it! It was our first time here and she helped us with our bubbles. My friend can be a little annoying as a guest and our waitress kept a smile on her face and helped her decide on a bubble flight! (Perfect for an indecisive guest) We got the lemon chicken that is served with polenta cakes! Oh my mouth watering! (Servers recommendation with our bubbles) and split a shrimp salad. Where to start? The atmosphere is amazing. When we were walking in, all I could picture was the previous establishment and the décor...blek. It is so bright and warm at the same time. What a welcome! It is a beautiful place! We sat at the bar where the wines are poured from taps. It's an amazing place with an amazing story to tell. Ask the bartenders about the artist and the piece created over the bar - artist is Felix Stockwell - unbelievable. The team that works here was amazing! Justin, Christina V, Stephanie and everyone else...thank you! You were kind, knew your menu, genuinely acted like you enjoyed us being there. I was Dallas and went to Sixty Vines with a few friends for dinner Saturday evening. We has several small plates, some wine, beer, and a few cocktails. Everything was fantastic. Alexis (our server) was great -- very knowledgable, helpful, and provided just the right level of attentiveness to us. The goal was a great, interesting meal and time with close friends. I often worry that in a large environment we'll have to end up raising our voices or lip-reading in order to have a conversation. Neither of these things were necessary. We had a super time, enjoyed great service, had super food (maybe not the broccolini next time, however) in a clean, eclectic environment. I would/will go back there! Went here on a Saturday evening with a group of girls without a reservation. Came in about 6:30pm and was seated within a few minutes. Jacob was our server and could not be more pleased with him and his recommendations. Recommended a meat and cheese plate with a ricotta cheese, crown jewel, and a cheddar, three different meats that was phenomenal. As a Sauvignon blanc fan, he recommended the Honig over the vine hugger and loveblock. The restaurant is very nicely designed and the food is really good, but the service was poor. Right after you put your fork down, they rush to take your plate and ask if you want dessert. If you say you're not ready, they print the check and drop it on the table saying "here is your check." We weren't ready to leave yet -we might have wanted dessert or another glass of wine -so we just ignored it at first. The waitress kept circling our table with her credit card machine in hand and rolling her eyes. We ended up paying her not because we were done, but because she was being so pushy and intrusive. This place is a wine lovers paradise!! I have been to Napa and Sonoma and nothing beats being able to go winery to winery and try big names as well as boutique labels. Sixty Vines delivers on delicious wine you can try with your choice of ounce pour. So if you want that $300 bottle but only want a glass, you can have it. I found a label I haven't had since my last trip to Sonoma. The food paired well and was tasty and light. I left feeling satisfied and not stuffed and ready for a food coma. 12/6/2017 Sixty Vines continues to up its game on the food quality and selection. I went when it first opened and have returned several times since. Lunch has numerous options and variety, so you're not limited to only a select few "go to" items. You can really explore the menu.The wines are nice - and having them on tap really increases the opportunity to sample types you might not normally sample. The GM here is very hands-on and is actively working the front and back of the house when I have been there. Ambiance is strong - the interior reminds me of southern California - chic, clean and approachable. I live a pretty good ways away - so I wish they would open one closer to me soon. read more

We had an incredible experience at the bar at Sixty Vines! It was a rainy night, and we made last-minute plans for a cozy date night. Bradley and Brian took such great care of us and truly made it a memorable evening. We let them take the lead on our red wine flights, or "adventures," as they call them, and they absolutely nailed it! Each wine they chose added something unique to the experience. Came here on my anniversary and everything from the food to the ambience was perfect! I had the shrimp appetizer which comes on toast. It was so so good!! The cheese plate and white sauce pizza with prosciutto (forgot the name) were great too. I loved the Brie and the honeycomb that came with it. Our server was super helpful and kind in helping us pick out a wine, and they have a HUGE collection. I visited with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday and we were fortunate enough to have been assigned Jacob as our server. Not only did he accommodate all of our boujee suburban moms-night-out requests, he was charming, funny, and attentive. The meat and cheese board was divine (get the ricotta!) and the perfect warm-up for the short rib papardelle. The wine selection was comprehensive (to say the least) and Jacob cheerily assisted as we lit candles and sang our friend happy birthday amidst the lively atmosphere of the dining room. First time to go here and had an amazing experience. Our waitress Allison was so attentive and when she found out we had never been there before she was great in guiding us through some incredible food and wine. She even got her manager Devin to give us a behind the scene's tour of the wine tap system. Devin took time on a busy Saturday night to give us a one on one tour of the system. It is always pipping hot, so you will need to wait for it to cool quite a bit. This is flavorful and hearty for only 550 calories. I also tried a dessert for the first time- they call them small indulgences. I tried a lemon blueberry cake. It's about 6 bites, which is perfect for an after dinner sweet for me! The whole menu is calorie mindful offering all dishes below 595 calories. This is a great practice and was not noticeable at all, unless you read the menu carefully! Our family visits here a couple times a year and we will definitely return for more seasonal yums in the fall! Keep in mind parking is hard in this area.
