Smaller than some of the other sizzlers I've been to. Staff was very nice, very professional. Ambiance is generally quieter with mostly seniors. Food though was abysmal. Tasted like a hospital cafeteria. If I get put in a nursing home and this is what I'm eating, take me out back and shoot me instead. Sizzler is a restaurant I remember being around since my childhood, back when the commercials focused on shrimp and a dude whispering, "Sizzlerrrr..." in a weirdly seductive way. For whatever reason however, I had never actually been to one until recently. And how was it, you may ask? Pretty darn good, if I say so myself. The cheese bread lives up to the hype, and the "salad bar" (A name that does not do what it actually is justice, by the way) is reason enough to visit, even without any main course - with its fruit, antipasto, macaroni salads, chicken nuggets, ICE CREAM and so much more! The service here was great, which is why I am allowing for a one star review. The food, was not so stellar. The steak was chewy and the chicken was clearly frozen and barely edible. The Malibu chicken comes with a frozen piece of chicken with a very mediocre slice of ham on it along with what I assume was Swiss cheese. I may have been able to tell if not for the abundance of grease on top. This meal came with a side and I opted for the garlic mashed potatoes, pretty safe choice I thought. Then when I received it the amount of garlic on this slop of potatoes was disrespectful. It hit my tongue and I recoiled as if I was a thousand years old vampire from Transylvania. My friend ordered the steak and lobster which came with two pieces of hair and was slightly undercooked for being medium rare. So with all that in mind, please, next time you decide to take your family, friends, or significant other out on a night out. Understand folks, Sizzler is NOT Mortons, so don't expect $100 meal quality for $24. Never understand why people write reviews expecting more from a place that what it's market is. This location serves excellent food that is hot, tasts good and there are lots of options. I do eat there frequently with friends. Their steaks are remarkably good quality for the cost. The clam chowder was rubbery and cold. The ice cream machine wasn't even in service. The baked potato was dry and cold. The salmon had no flavor and was lousy. On Tuesday around 2:30pm 4/2/24 the service was horrible. They where out of the fruit punch drink. I explained I can't drink anything carbonated and I asked if I can have the mango drink. But for a small charge if .99 cent that I found very I unreasonably since they don't have the drink I want in the first place and I can't have anything else. I was expressing how upset I was and the cashier was very rude and I was upset at a previous drive-through experience they gave me spicy nuggets instead of regular. But they didn't care. They said i had to call and complain and they would of replaced but no one answered call last week. Then this day the manager comes to the window cleaning her face from her lunch break and says she doesn't have to discount the .99 because she has to change for any change in the beverage. Such wonderful memories visiting here! Now as an adult I still enjoy going. This location is great, staff is nice, friendly and fast. Food is always being restocked in salad bar, fresh and yummy! Noticed right away how clean and well-kept it is. Friendly employees and a nicely stocked salad bar. 4 different types of fresh lettuce, a fabulous coleslaw, a delicious pasta salad, fresh peaches and cottage cheese too! There is plenty of variety here for everyone to choose from. Cheese, carrots, green and red bell peppers, red onions, hardboiled egg, mushrooms, garbanzo beans, corn, cucumbers, black olives, croutons, sunflower seeds, plus much more! Several different fresh delicious dressings, including oil and vinegar in glass bottles, which I greatly appreciate. The taco bar also had chips, potato wedges, chicken nuggets, cheese sauce, and all the taco toppings you need. Fresh yummy soups available and soft serve ice cream for desert. There is literally, a lot of somethings for everyone! Hubby had Malibu chicken with baked potato and he devoured it. Our server was friendly and pleasant and brought us drinks and cheese toast promptly. I live in Riverside, but will go to this location from here on out. I would give it a 3.5. My family loves this place we been to Sizzler like forever since I was born lmao. Never had the chance to write a review. Every time we come in, it's never busy. Food is simple and American, what I mean by American is that the taste is very basic, you know like simple salt pepper nothing like fusion or spice. SMH. Fries were hot, which is good, you don't want cold fries. Fish they could have used a different type, I'm not sure which kind they used cuz it had a bit of a fishy aftertaste. Not too oily when you press on it. I would give it average, like a C+. My mom had to order her Malibu chicken thrice , cuz they did not cook it well, first time they brought it out wasn't cooked through, she bit in and it was like hard rock, finally which it came in it was tender. Usually chicken in Sizzler always cooked good, but don't know what happened today unfortunately. My sister, brother and dad ordered tri tip steak and wow super tender and super good. Our Waitress name was Angee (aka:Angelica) she is super sweet, kind and friendly, perfect service every time. Only downside is that place needs to be cleaned up and renovated, someone like me, hates going to places that are dirty. People who know, know that I am picky where I sit as well. Supposedly newly renovated...the inside, I guess. The food...the quality needs a complete overhaul! I had the salmon and salad bar. Salmon was TINY and super bland! Couldn't have been a 6oz piece. And for $17, not worth it! Salad bar was small and lame compare to the Sizzlers we have gone to (Murrieta and Moreno Valley). The marinara for the spaghetti was watery. I wish I took a picture of the water just oozing away from the rest of the sauce. The pasta looked like it had been sitting there for hours.The chowder was lukewarm and bland. The chicken wings tasted like they were cooked earlier then refried to heat it back up. Yuck! Everything in the hot food section needed attention! It was either room temp, lukewarm or OLD! There's goes that extra $8 for the salad bar My husband ordered the 6oz steak and crispy shrimp ($18). He upgraded the steak to an 8oz for almost $4 more. When he got his food, the weight of the steak was very questionable. Asked the waitress if the steak really was upgraded and she said "i know it doesn't look it but it's thicker ‍" Um ok. I don't know we even bothered asking! He requested for medium rare and it came out done and real tough. I hate leaving bad reviews but management needs to take a closer look at food quality. There is a huge jump in service as well as the quality of the food preparation since the reopen. The service is real good. Food is above average. The remodel looks good. We have dinned in and have picked up take out. Take always has all items as well as the condiments. As we all know condiments are a fail at most business when getting take out. Haven't been here in ages! Like probably 15 years or more! But decided to try it because every food place is always super packed on sundays. I went and got the salad buffet option. Some of the food options they had tasted okay and some of it tasted a little bit better. They had tons of salad options to choose from and had a section for meats for your tacos and what not. They also had a soup section with 3 different types of soup to choose from. I did like their fried chicken wings and their shredded pork! Ate here for lunch and the steak, shrimp, salad and baked potato were all good, it's the Malibu Chicken that ruined the meal. This is not the same Malibu Chicken that it used to be. It's no longer a round chicken pattie, but a now a triangle shape. Bottom line. If you're going to Sizzler for a gourmet meal you're delusional. I read a bunch of the reviews before going, but the amount of whiney ass people out there made my decision to go. I'm 49 and in my poor youth Sizzler wasnt fancy but it wasn't fast food either so we appreciated anytime we went. By the time I was 20 it had just universally gone downhill. I hadn't been in probably 2 decades but as a nostalgic joke and there's 1 2 blocks from us my wife and I went. Inside is still a Sizzler. Few updates here and there but the same. Walked over to the salad/kids station bar. Same ol crap buffet style food. Our food wasn't worth ever going back but laughing and enjoying our memories of yesteryear both with our families thinking how awesome Sizzler was made our date nite. If you're old school then you know the cheese bread. Its still awesome! Ice cream machine made soft serve so how can life be bad. Sorry to anyone who got wait staff other then who we had because everyone from the register to our busboy and server was hustling and polite. Always had a good meal there. Love their salads, spaghetti, their soup or chicken wings. Their steaks a very tasty but on the tuff side. If you want it rare you have to order it extra rare otherwise it comes more medium rare. I do recommend going here. You can't go wrong eating here. read more
