Very convenient place to go to if you are craving Hawaiian food. There aren't too many Hawaiian places to choose from in Corona so I get this when I am in the area. They always cook to order so be prepared to wait for your food. It's best to order ahead of time to save some time. You can order online. My favorite here are the plate lunches. The plate lunches come with rice, mac salad, and veggies. You can also customize your sides. I usually get the Kalbi Short ribs or Hawaiian BBQ chicken. I once had the Chicken Katsu but did not like how much breading it had. The ambiance depends on the time of day. On a weekend/morning, it is pretty quiet and there is plenty of parking. This place is the bomb!!!! I was in the area visiting from the OC and was craving for some Hawaiian BBQ. Usually I goto L&L down in the OC. The decoration inside this place is awesome. They have plenty of seats and tables there, even high chairs in the middle. I ordered their chicken and beef combo and they came out really fast. Their price is very reasonable, cheaper than L&L. The chicken and beef were nice and juicy and not dry. Love that they have the cabbage and broccoli underneath the meat. I would definitely come back again next time when I m in the area. read more

I'm writing to share a concern regarding a recent visit to your location involving an interaction with a Janet the manager/female staff member at the front counter. My niece and I came in to pick up our usual lunch order, which we placed through the app. Due to a mix-up likely because my card is saved in the app we accidentally submitted an additional order without realizing it. When we arrived to pick up the food, we noticed that there were three meals instead of the two we intended to order. I politely asked if it would be possible to receive a refund for the extra meal, as it was clearly an unintentional purchase. The Janet/staff member informed me that she typically does not issue refunds and added, in a rather firm tone, that l "better be careful next time" or I wouldn't receive a refund in the future. She did proceed with the refund but insisted I take the third plate, saying no one else would eat it I explained that I had no intention of taking food I didn't pay for on purpose, nor was I trying to get a refund just to receive a free meal. As regular customers, we've never made such a request before, and this was a genuine mistake. While I understand that busy shifts can be stressful, I felt that the Janet's tone was unnecessarily confrontational and unprofessional. There are certainly more respectful ways to address customers, especially when they're being courteous and honest about a mistake. I chose to leave the extra plate behind, as it was too much food and not something l intended to purchase. I sincerely recommend providing additional training in customer service and de-escalation for this employee. Perhaps she was having a difficult day, but it's important that customers aren't made to feel uncomfortable or chastised. Thank you for taking my feed back. read more

One word: portions. Not only is the food amazing they are not afraid to load up your plate, I've tried multiple items on the menu and haven't been disappointed. I come from Hawaii so I'm pretty picky when it comes to Hawaiian food. The Macaroni Salad here is bomb. The Spam Musubi is really good. The Katsu is done well. You can't really mess up Teriyaki Chicken so that's always good. The Kalbi is kinda fatty but tasty. The rice is always yummy. The Fried Mahi Mahi fish and Fried Shrimp use to be big and flaky but recently they are small and soggy so not sure what's up with that. Overall, the inside is clean and the service is average as it's a pay before eating kind of place. The inside is decorated in Hawaiian theme and playing Hawaiian music. I'm super stoked to have an Ono Hawaiian BBQ in Corona! This storefront is located in Corona's newest shopping center next to MOD and Dunkin Donuts. I'm a HUGE fan of Hawaiian BBQ, and have noticed that there are very few options for it in the Corona/Riverside area... making Ono my new holy grail. Each visit has been beyond amazing; especially since Ono consistently offers delicious food, incredible service, and a great interior vibe. My go-to meal is the combination plate of Chicken Katsu and Kalua Pork + Cabbage - mainly because I can't pick between one and the other. Of course the meal also comes with the typical Hawaiian staples: rice and (my absolute favorite) macaroni salad. The Katsu is always perfectly crunchy, and offers a great ratio of meat to breading, which is a unique find for this menu item. The pork is both juicy and savory, and goes great with the mac salad! 0 stars for service for server "Anaely" on Sat. 03/30/24 @ 11:25am, I came in and placed a $92.91 "to go" order. (I am the only customer ordering in the store along with Anaely and the Cook). I gather my condiments at the self-serve station; however no utensils. I ask Anaely if she could provide some utensils and she said she will later. While the food is getting prepared , I say to her I will go run to the grocery store in the same parking lot and will be back. I return around 11:55am and there is one man ordering with Anaely (no other customers are in the store). I see the bags of food ready and look for the utensils. Only 3 chopsticks were included and a couple of forks. Anaely sees me and I wait, I take a moment when there is a pause between the customer ordering; I say "excuse me, May I have forks and chopstick's?". She rudely rolls her eyes and tells me "no, you need to wait until I help him and I already gave you some". I begin to tell her I don't see it in the bag, I just need 6 forks and chopsticks". The customer became belligerent and assaulted me with derogatory comments and I could help myself to the self serve station. I did want to engage with him so I just told Anaely give me 6 forks and 6 chopsticks. She rolled her eyes and gave it to me. Solution: she should have told the customer, give me a moment this customer was here first , let me give her her items". Rather than rolling her eyes, telling me to wait longer and arguing with me that she gave me some already. (She felt like 3 were enough for 6 combo plates and spam musubi). . The customers reactions she could not help but she sure did escalate it. Managers...pull up the video and see. I will be glad to talk to anyone in upper management as well. Went ahead and ordered picked up food. $29 for 2 plates figured it's the usual Hawaiian style portions. NOPE! Sheistyyyyyy portions. Flavor was mediocre. Teriyaki sauce subpar. No scirracha. Today (20:25 on 11/22/21) was my second visit to this specific location. The first visit the girl at the register had a lot of attitude. I understand some people have a bad day but when you're in customer service you have to leave home life at home. I'm in customer service and I have first hand experience. My second encounter today was worse than the first time. The same girl at the register was there. My friends and I were waiting at the counter while she was just filling forks and spoons. She made eye contact with us a few times and still made us wait. During us ordering our food she had the worst attitude (same as the first encounter). While my friends and I were waiting for our food we were talking and laughing at a table. When another girl came out calling out the order numbers we didn't hear her the first time. The girl calling out orders then gave us a lot of attitude and repeated the order numbers as if she was talking down to us. Her head spasmed and her eyebrows moved in disgust. When we left she immediately went to go talk to the girl that took our order. I wanted to go back inside and go off on them and let them know what disgusting customer service this was. But I waited for my comments to be spoken here on Yelp. I hope the manager sees this and they get spoken to and have some repercussions. If you encounter them with their attitude, write a review so the manager knows this is ongoing. (P.s. the food is great and there are no complaints on that side of things) read more

This is the best Ono's location I've ever been to. The facility was clean and organized, especially the condiment and drink area. The ambient lighting and island music makes you almost feel like you are in Hawaii. The staff provided great and speedy customer service and the food was delicious!
