I would actually rate it terrible. Couldn't wait for them to open back up, until they did. Went there for dinner and was served a piece of meat a dog couldn't chew. Around 6:20pm, Monday 5-25-2015. OK, I know it's a holiday, and you were probably busy. We arrived to about 50% of tables open, 30% clean, we chose a clean booth on the NW end. Hubby ordered the Senior Italian Herb Chicken (he's 60, now), and I ordered Shrimp Skewers, baked potato, no salad bar. Hubby went to the salad bar, I went to the table with tray, drinks and those 3 little tickets. Sat there for a bit, watching the wait staff yakking with their tables, and clearing dirty ones at times. Hubby returned from salad bar, and started eating. Still being ignored by wait staff, no bread, no order turned in, nothing! I started making eye contact with wait staff, who were still engaged in small talk with other tables, and clearing the remaining dirty tables. One of the wait staff rolled her eyes at me, or maybe she was passing out, the others all ignored us. 15 minutes later, hubby finished his salad, I was fed up due to NO notice taken of us by wait staff, and hubby called a Manager over, who was clearing another table at the time. (Right next to us - and here we still sit with our stupid tray and tickets...and NO yummy cheese bread!!) I told her we wanted a refund of our dinner costs, and were happy to pay for the ice tea, my glass of wine, and hubby's plate of salad - but wanted a refund of the Meal costs. We got all but my glass of wine back, which is totally fine, we had planned to pay for the salad bar and his Ice Tea, as well. We went to Denny's and had "breakfast-for-dinner", instead. it will be quite some time before we go there again - stick to the one in Medford. Oh, and I almost forgot - right after we talked to the manager and were getting ready to leave, one of the waitstaff came to take our tray and order the bread! We told her it was too late. read more

Waited in line FOREVER to be seated. The waitress was rude to my husband. She made us feel stupid for asking questions. The next time we went. The waitress looked miserable, like we totally inconvenienced her and was talking about how she wanted to quit. My husband and I are no means big complainers or are high maintenance. We received dirty plates right off the bat. I ordered the grilled chicken and steak. My steak was good, I ordered medium rare.... I didn't want my chicken medium rare as well. But that's what I got. A thick chicken breast that was pink in the middle. And last Maybe not a big deal to most but I asked for diet Pepsi and got regular Pepsi. Food was ok after I got it cooked all the way. I had their new special summer Meal which is a skewer of steak and vegetables and also a skewer of shrimp. The vegetables were hard to eat and the shrimp was uncooked. When I sent it back and got it back its was overcooked and the waitress did not appear to be happy about me sending it back. We were visiting from outbid town and pleasantly surprised to see a Sizzler. We are from Lad Vegas and they closed all of them down there. My husband loves Sizzler! We could not pass up the chance to stop for dinner. The visit was nice. The line moved slow trying to pay and get seated took longer than expected. The food was not hot when the server finally brought it out and my Extra Well Done steak came pink so I sent it back which took another 20 minutes. The salad bar was the highlight and everything was freshly stocked and warm. The chicken wings are to die for. I wish I had the recipe. The fact That this chain is still in biz blows me away because they give folks what they want. For a late lunch I had herb chicken breast and another had the steak with malibu chicken with the salad bar. The latter is a typical salad buffet bonanza with more than should be like two kinds of mousse AND soft serve ice cream! I did not know if I was at an Asian buffet vs a Sizzler steak house. The chicken was not overcooked, as I hate that! The Malibu chicken is smaller than Iremember with the what is now Dijonnaise sauce on the side. I will always like that combination of flavor. The steak cooked medium rare was what you would expect albeit average but what do you expect at these reasonable prices? The fresh-brewed iced tea is perfect compliment (I hate nestea, fuze or gold leaf mix!) and I gulped 3 glasses worth during my meal there since so thirsty due to the heat and smoke. My family and I have eaten here 3 times all 3 times we have not had a good experience. We either had terrible service or something else.Today we went there for lunch. My daughter and I and my Granddaughter ate salad and we all 3 got stomach aches. when we called the store and talked to the manager she said it takes 24 to 48 hours for food poisoning to show up. We did not say it was food poisoning we told her that it made us sick. Also when we first went in before we ever even ordered I noticed that one of the mousse cups in the dessert bar had a fly in it, and I took it to someone,an let them know where I found it. We were given our money back, but yeah we are done with this sizzler. read more

We go here about every 2 weeks and are always quite satisfied with the food and the prices. We usually order from the "Honored Guests" (Senior) menu and get a great salad at the salad bar, a great entre (usually grilled salmon with steamed veggies), ice tea, extra chicken wings, extra onion rings, and desert for @ $30 (total, for 2 persons without tip). We've gone to a lot fancier places and paid a LOT more for dinner, but we keep going back to Sizzler in Grants Pass. Want to go to a fancy place with crappy food? Try Taprock. I came here during a family vacation and multiple people from the group had problems with their food. One got raw chicken from the salad bar, another had hair in their food and got brought out a burnt replacement, and then the steaks were unflavored with a burnt taste. read more

After 8+ hours on the road we stopped at this Grants Pass Sizzler and were very happy with the crisp veggies at the salad bar & delicious taco bar as well as the Senior menu steak-- great value, healthy and delicious food, personable service. Note to vegetarians: currently the broccoli-cheddar soup & the rice at the salad bar aren't vegetarian. No signage about this, but staff answers all questions! read more

My wife and I stopped on 8/03/2012 for a late lunch after som shopping. We ordered the senior skewer with rice ($11.99) and an 8 oz. serloin steak ($13.99), both were senior meals, and the unlimited salad bar with drinks. The first problem started when our order had been given but not paid for yet and the telephone rang. The cashier, Sally, took the call while we waited and waited for her to finish dealing with the caller, reciting the menu and various options while we waited to pay. I suggested placing the caller on hold was a better option until our transaction was completed, and then taking the call. Sally was not impressed with the suggestion. When the meal was delivered the steak had a piece of fat 1/2 " thick the length of it and a piece of gristle adjacent to the fat. The meat was sliced like a very wide ramp with fat along the thick side. To make matters worse the meat was diffficult to cut and of poor quality with little flavor. I own a store and have had several meeting / dinners at this Sizzler over the years but this will be our final visit. The quality of the food has steadily declined over the past two years while the pricing has steadily increased. I see no point in continuing to patronize this Sizzler. I have eaten at other Sizzlers while traveling and never seen the food as poor at other locations. read more

i live here in g/p been here several times [sizzler] wanted to give them a chance that it was only a bad day after 3 times i still feel the same, they are cutting cost to much, salad bar [ main draw] leaves much to be desired , food dishes almost empty or empty. drink refills you have to get yourself, service lacking, some signs misleading [ senior menu ] will not return. a few dollars more gets you a quality meal at other restaurants read more
