I love coming here on Saturday afternoons that way I only eat one meal a day. They have everything the best salad bar, soup, chicken, wings, tacos, spaghetti, and the best tasting iced tea with lemon. My wife and I love going here when we had an eaten breakfast because we got everything that we want from drinks to soup chicken salad, different kinds of dessert and many other healthy foods. Our server, Cassie is absolutely fantastic. I always tried to sit in the area she's working and we've grown to have a good bond. And she always wears the biggest smile.

My wife and I decided on Sizzler for dinner tonight. Initially, I planned to get the All-You-Can-Eat Salad Bar ($19.95) but changed my mind and went with the steak and two shrimp skewers, adding the salad bar for an extra $9.99. My wife ordered the steak and lobster ($38.99). I started off with the salad bar, which is always a safe bet--lots of fresh options, and the watermelon and strawberries were very good. The Texas toast, however, was a letdown. It's definitely gone down in quality; the grilled topping was overly salty and not as good as I remember. I upgraded my steak to the 8 oz (for about $4 more), while my wife stayed with the 6 oz--but both steaks looked the same size. When I asked, I was told steaks shrink while cooking... okay, sure. Her meal was good overall, and she really enjoyed the garlic mashed potatoes. My steak wasn't exactly medium, but close enough. The real issue was the shrimp skewers--they tasted overly fishy and were inedible. The waitress offered to replace them, but I declined. At the end, she kindly gave me an order of fried shrimp to go, which I'll try tomorrow and hope for the best. If you're coming for the All-You-Can-Eat Salad Bar, I'd say yes--it's worth it. As for anything else, I'll probably stick to just the salad bar in the future. On the positive side, our waitress was friendly and checked on us often. Plenty of seating at 7:30 PM and TVs overhead if you want to catch a game. Restaurant was clean and the staff was constantly cleaning and restocking the salad bar.

We ordered chicken strips for my 6-year-old last night. He didn't really touch them and mostly at the fries who just assumed he was a picky 6-year-old, But when I slices open today to reheat I noticed these didn't look like they were cooked through at all. I just assumed sizzler used pre-cooked chicken strips but either way make sure to check these before you give them to your kids! read more

Pluses: The server, Jasmine, did a wonderful job. She was so sweet and attentive but not overly so. The food came out quickly. Minus: We had the unlimited salad bar. This was not this first time I grabbed dirty plates from there and luckily an employee was there, so I showed her. It's gross to grab a plate and something gooey is on the bottom. Hadn't been to sizzler in years , took my daughter there recently and was amazed how clean the place was . The young woman at the order section was very welcoming and friendly. The staff was on it , with refills , taking away used plates as we were getting more food at the salad bar , which by the way was great . I have been here before multiple times and it was great. Let me say night and day difference. Once we ordered and sat down. We didn't see our server Vianney for a long time. Once she did arrive she asked if we wanted bread which we said yes. After that we never saw her. We never got our bread till after our food came and we asked her what happened. Meanwhile after we got our food she never came to check on us once. We had to stop her while she was walking past us to ask for water. Then she refilled one persons water and walked away. The food tasted great but the service was extremely terrible. Worse I've had in years and I tend to never complain about service. read more

You know the food at Sizzler is actually really good! Some folks think it's subpar, but they have decent steaks & a really good salad bar. Service is always good & they'll do it all to make sure your visit is good. I come here for the salad bar & I love it that no little grubby fingers can reach the veggies. Each Sizzler has went thru a major makeover so they all have a really nice interior. For the price & the quality of the food you can't go wrong. We use the Modesto & Fresno, CA locations on a regular basis. read more

The salad bar is outstanding my server she was outstanding to her name is MAKKIYAH Makala she was great. It took me 35 minutes to get our three kids meals and salmon. Other people around us got their food first but we had to complain to the Manager and then I went up there to see the manager and the cook just threw my food under the light and I saw him if he would've pushed it just a little bit More. He would've threw it on the side of the bar because he has an attitude because he has to do a macaroni and cheese and french fries I don't want none of my food cause I don't know what you're doing with it. There's a hot food bar included with all you can eat salad bar that offers 4 soups, spaghetti, tacos with fixings, chicken winds and potato wedges. I must say when my drink came out it was delicious. We ordered the shrimp and lobster bisque as our appetizers and they were really good . Our server was patient with us or should I say me because she asked if we were ready to order our entree's but I said no and somehow we started talking about what she did on her day off going to a local river which I enjoyed her talking about because she didn't seem rushed or stressed out seemed like a real genuinely nice person and enjoyed her job. Anyway, I was craving the seafood boil that I've been wanting to try for a while now. Highly recommend it was delicious. I chose the Cajun seasoning and just mild spice . I chose the platter that only had the shrimp , with potatoes , and sausage and corn . Admittedly I only ate less than half because I got full from the bread and side salad . We were there on Friday September 29th looking forward to having a nice family dinner. Instead, we were all grossed out to the point of no return! There will be no return to Sizzler. I started with salad bar; the plate on top of the pile looked like it wasn't washed properly so I put it aside hoping the next is nice and clean. What do you know?? it had stock on food. There was another guy trying to grab a plate to enjoy the salad bar as well. So I went for the third plate, surprisingly, stock on food again. At this point the guy is looking at me and shaking his head. The fourth plate wasn't washed at all; it was so disgusting, full of green red and orange bits and pieces. I alerted the staff. I went on just wanting to pretend I din't see that and just enjoy my time out with my husband and daughter. After all it had cost me about $90 to be there. I decided to go for a bowl of soup. That night was just not going to get any better. Again, first bowl with stuck on food, I set it aside. 2nd bowl with stuck on food, then the third one came. I gathered them and handed them to the waitress and told them I am not going back there again. After all of this you would thing some one from Sizzler, presumably the manager is going to come out and say something, but nothing happened . I was never disgusted so badly at a restaurant. There was nothing to make the situation better, however, it would have been nice for the manager to come out and say something. If I am not mistaking, I think they were mad at me for putting them on the spot and kept handing them the dirty, disgusting dishes. Not going back there; it is not sanitary. read more

Not going to be nice about my recent experience. DO NOT EAT HERE!! They serve raw salmon. I invited my two co-workers to join me for dinner and was very upset that the experience was a disaster! They ordered the salmon and I ordered the lobster and steak. Let me back up. When we ordered our food I was charged for the salad bar which I did not want. They did refund me for that. I also asked my steak be prepared medium. It was rare/medium rare. The salmon that one co-worker ordered was raw. Even the server when she showed her that it was raw agreed. She brought the salmon back and it was still raw. My lobster was raw on the bottom and the steak was terrible. The manager came over and apologized and offered the salad bar for free. Again, I do not want a salad bar I want a properly cooked meal. He said that he would cook our dinner personally next time we were there. How about now???? We're never coming back. Clueless!!! My co-worker paid $30.00 and I paid $50.00 and we left still hungry..........Don't waste your time or money. I do have one nice comment to make...........my dog enjoyed the steak!!! read more

I have been coming to this location for some years and seen managers in and out. On my last visit on Sunday, me and my husband came by and noticed the store felt much more vibrant and busier than usual. I believe if I am correct the previous manager was named Erick or something like that because we spoke to him once complimenting the steak we got on our last visit. It's been a while since we came but there is a new manager named Autumn, she is a very kind young lady. We had a great conversation with her and she is the soul and heart of this crew & it looks like this store is thriving under her more than any of the past times we have came. every employee is happy, laughing, smiling having a great time giving out some of the best service. Being an owner of a restaurant in this town we look out for service heavily + the food and on Sunday we had the pleasure of being served by Eddie, great young lad, super kind fantastic server. I'm only giving this place stars because of service and the rest of the staff who were great during our visit. I live in San Jose and come to visit my girlfriend and she loves Sizzler and this location so we come often. Sadly, the "manager" Christina ruined our visit yesterday and we will not be coming back. We usually get salad bar but I decided to get a steak this visit. I didn't want to complain but it was pretty undercooked. I simply just wanted to bring it to the managers attention. She responded with "well what do you want me to do about it??" and was incredibly rude including rolling her eyes while speaking with me and for what? I wasn't rude to her and also told her I didn't want a refund or for them to even recook it, I just wanted to let her know. She should not be in customer service. My girlfriend was embarrassed and is sad that she no longer wants to come to the place that she loves. Not sure how she has a job in customer service let alone is a MANAGER. I come here every so often when I get together with friends for lunch since it's near the freeway. Both the interior and exterior look great since their remodel a few years back. Unfortunately, the customer service does not match the feel of the restaurant. For a place where you order before you even get seated, you'd expect some top notch service. Generally, you meet your "server" when they bring your drinks, and you see them once more when they bring your food. Rarely do they come back to check up on you, offer refills, etc. Multiple times I have had to flag down a cook refilling the salad bar to get our "server" for us. For this reason, we never tip. We continue to come back for the food, not the service - not like there's much of it to begin with. All in all, the place is pretty clean, the food is consistently good, and the salad bar is always well stocked and seemingly fresh. read more

My husband and I just left the Sizzler on Dale Rd in Modesto, I wanted to write a review now because I can't remember ever being this happy with my whole experience. My food was so good I had a steak and jumbo shrimp. The reason I want everyone to know is this, last week we had a family dinner at Out back in Tulare Ca. I ordered the same meal absolutely no comparisons Sizzler was BEST by far!! Carlos was the cook (I asked) he did a fabulous job!! The sizzler located in Modesto is by far the best! My wife and I were greeted right away and we were asked if we had any questions on the menu and the young lady Selena was very helpful. My order was taken right away and within minutes was getting seated. My server Karla immediately came to the table and greeted us brought out the drinks and toast. Our meals then came out & we were asked to cut into our steaks which I thought was great. She was vey attentive! My meal was delicious, the cook did a great job, not to mention the salad bar was clean and stocked the entire time! Overall, everything was fantastic! Had dinner with family at Sizzler on Dale Rd., Modesto, and our server Narisa/Marisa is a shining example of what quality service should be. Marisa made sure our drinks and food were correctly prepared, had enough silverware and made several checks on our table to ensure things were satisfactory. Her pleasant demeanor, calmness and upbeat attitude is uncommon among workers in her profession. I must say that Marisa made our dinner extra special that day. We (3 adults+kiddo) arrived for Thanksgiving at 11:45am ... figuring that we'd better get there early. We had a 15min wait (the line moved quickly). "Mike" seated us and had just the best customer engagement ... well, at least until we met our server, "Makkiyah" ... OHGoodness, she was PERFECT!! It could have been an edgy stressful meal was easy and untrusted! I have generally had good service at this Sizzler, but this was just over the top!! Our favorite place to eat,Great salad bar, outstanding service by all (Jessica, Daniela & Natalie) Always make us feel welcome. The mangers are friendly and highly visible, always available and accommodating. I only have one suggestion: Please go back to wrapping your backed potato in aluminum foil, wrapped potatoes are always hot and maintain all the extras (Butter, Spices & Chives) within the potato(not running out onto your plate). Food was great as usual. Ate the menudo for the first time and enjoyed it. Service was also great. We had everything we needed quickly and asked several times if everything was ok and if we needed anything. Our server Deanna was very polite. The restaurant was clean as usual. Cassie was a pleasure to have as a waitress. We were greeted with a smile, our drinks were full at all times, plates were taken without us asking, our food was served hot and fresh. I came in today (Easter) for lunch and our server Jessica was absolutely amazing. Her attitude and service was u like anything I'd ever experienced before. She said she had been there for 13 years and loved having her job and was thankful for it. If you're in town, stop by and ask for Jessica! She'll treat ya right. Just recently I visited Sizzler's, it had been awhile since I was there. My first impression walking in was that it was so clean. We placed our order and proceeded to our seating.
