Upon walking towards the restaurant entrance, I've noticed an advertisement for the new Cheese Toast Melt that includes fries. Pro tip: order a Cheese Toast Melt for $10.99, then add $9.99 for the salad bar. Verses paying $18.99 for only the salad bar, and you'll now have the entrée for take-out :) Cheese Toast Patty Melt ($10.99): what a deal and hearty meal. The beef patty was thick, juicy, and seasoned. The grilled onions were caramelized and sweet, while the cheese added creaminess. The Texas Toast added butter flavor and crispy texture, 8/10 rating. Salad bar (+$9.99 w/ entrée) round 1 of all you can eat: wings & cheese soup were enjoyable, 8/10. Meatballs were ok, 7/10. Popcorn chicken was mostly breading, 6.5/10. Salad bar ayce buffet round 2. potato wedge, spinach, mac, pasta, and broccoli salads were much needed to offset the fried foods I've eaten. All 7.5/10. My Dad choose sizzler as his birthday dinner last night so we went in a group of 10. We like that they have the area in the back that accommodates big groups. We're like that the atmosphere is casual and laid back. Our server was Lee. I can honestly say that Lee is one of the best servers I've had anywhere. He has a great personality, outgoing, very attentive, positive and thorough. The food last night was ok, but the most important part of my meal being the steak was really good, most always my streaks are really good at sizzler so no complaints there. I should've ordered it with the baked potato but I close the rice pilaf which was definitely not my favorite. We ordered dinner for Mother's Day to be delivered from sizzler. My husband's meal was totally wrong. He ordered shrimp, french fries and upgraded for a clam chowder. He got shrimp rice and a Caesar salad. I ordered steak and lobster. My steak was extremely overcooked. My lobster had no butter for dipping. And I was just felt so sad about my Mother's Day meal. Last time I ordered from there it was great. This time was extremely extremely disappointing. We pre-ordered maybe that was a problem as to why everything was messed up. I have no idea, but we have reached out and complained and got a little bit of a refund, but I feel like the entire mail should've been refunded for all the problems that we dealt with. read more

The place was clean and had a welcoming atmosphere. We visited to celebrate my uncle's life, and Lee made us feel at home. Shortly after we were seated, he brought us cheese toast which was perfect after being out all afternoon we were hungry. The food was great and arrived promptly. I haven't been to a Sizzler since the late 90's. Tonight did not disappoint! The Steak Trio was great! The Malibu chicken tasted the exact same as my teen years. It's been over 30 yrs since I last had a meal at a Sizzler restaurant. When I was a kid growing up in the 80s and 90s Sizzler was a special place to get a meal and was always such a treat for our family. My favorite dishes back then were the lemon herb grilled chicken and the jumbo Cajun fried shrimp and I always LOVED the cheese toast. However, the quality of the restaurants started going downhill and Sizzler dropped off the list of options for family dinners. Interestingly enough, when I was an adult, I literally lived a two minute walk to Sizzler in Hollywood for 12 years but for the life of me never thought to ever have a meal there. I'm not sure why I never thought about eating there again. Maybe I was happy to leave Sizzler as a fond memory of a time gone by? Anyway, flash forward to the present day. My wife and I were in the the Temecula area visiting friends and we were looking for a quick casual sit down meal before heading back to LA. Our friends suggested Sizzler and offered to treat us to dinner... I was caught off guard. Sizzler? Are you sure? They used to be good, like decades ago but I don't know if I want to ruin my fond memories of childhood with a "meh" or even worse "bleh" meal. They reassured me that this location is definitely different than ones I was probably used to going to. I decided to take a chance. My first impression walking into this Sizzler was the energetic and lively atmosphere of the place probably because it was brightly lit with vivid color schemes for the restaurant interior. Back in the day, I remember the Sizzler I would go to, the lighting was much more subdued where the majority of the lighting at each table was a hanging shaded lamp over each table. This location didn't not feel like the vintage Sizzler I grew up with. In a way, the change was refreshing. The food Like I said, back in the day my go to dishes were the grilled lemon herb chicken and jumbo Cajun shrimp as a side order. These are are no longer offered on the current menu. Back then I was never really did the steaks and now a days when I do go out for a steak, it's going to be at a nice steak house ordering either a rib eye, filet or porter house. At Sizzler, they offer a rib eye but since my friends were treating me and my wife to dinner, I decided to go with a less pricey steak and ordered a sirloin steak(rare) with Malibu chicken and jumbo crispy shrimp combo. My wife chose the Cilantro Lime Barramundi. I'm usually picky when it comes to cooking my steak and usually prefer to cook at home with USDA Prime cuts which I just sear "blue" so I wasn't going to hold Sizzler to it if they over cooked my steak and served me something that was medium rare to medium because these chain restaurants are usually overly cautious regarding getting meats cooked to a certain internal temperature. However, they exceeded expectations and I was pleasantly surprised that they were able to cook the steak rare to med rare and still get nice criss cross grill marks on the steak. Bravo! My wife loved the cilantro lime barramundi but she was actually impressed with the sides of broccoli. The broccoli was tender yet still green and vibrant in color. We asked the manager John, who happened to by passing by and checking on all the customers' food, how they get their broccoli like this and it turns out they steam it in the microwave and not cook it a pot of boiling water like my wife and I do at home. Anyway, both of our food orders were delicious and the cheese bread brought back so many wonderful memories on the first bite. The service The service was top notch here. The person taking the orders at the front was cheerful and energetic and our server, Shellbee, was friendly and attentive. It was also nice to see that this location had a person checking on each table to make sure the food was up to standard as well as the manager, John, walking the dining area to check on things too. Conclusion I'm glad that I was able to go back and experience Sizzler in a way that brought back the great memories of the restaurant I experienced as a kid. I'm kind of tempted to see if the Sizzler nearest to me located on Vermont and 4th St would hold up as well. We'll see... read more

You do get all you can eat chicken wings, spaghetti, salads, build your own taco and nachos bar, soup and desserts. If you get a dinner then the price goes down. Was a rather non busy weekend so that was nice. They replenished the salads and items quickly and kept our drinks refilled! Good food and service at this location.
