The high chair turned out to be too small for our son, so we asked if we could use a booster seat on the end chair instead. After struggling to get our son comfortable, we eventually realized the booster seat has two different height settings depending on which side is facing down. It would have been helpful if that had been pointed out when it was brought to the table. Throughout the meal, our server seemed distracted and wasn't around very often. Our food was brought out by other staff members, which isn't necessarily a problem by itself, but combined with the lack of check-ins it made the service feel disconnected. The biggest disappointment came when I took my son outside while we waited. The benches, chairs, and handrails in the waiting area were covered in bird droppings. There were spider webs in multiple places, and the entrance to the restaurant itself looked dirty. I understand the restaurant is going for an old harbor or fishing-boat atmosphere, but there's a big difference between rustic and neglected. Instead of feeling charming or nautical, it felt like years of dirt and grime had simply been left in place. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but basic cleanliness and attentive service are things I expect from any restaurant, especially when dining with a young child. I hope management takes this as constructive feedback because the restaurant has potential, but our experience left us with little desire to return.

I have never done a review before but I just have to give a review for Lee at Sizzler in Murrieta CA. He is BY LEAPS AND BOUNDS the best server we have ever had in our life!!! He did all the stuff that a competent server would do. It's all the extra stuff that was done and completely unheard of, on top of being a fantastic waiter. We were seated in the back area of the restaurant. He was being super attentive to all of our needs. Joking around with all of us and everyone else. There were 2 other large parties sitting back there as well. We saw him come out twice with a large sundae he made in a wine glass and sing happy birthday to both parties. He came over to our table and asked my daughter if there was a special occasion going on as we were a large party. She said "not really but today was her parents 27th wedding day." Lee came over to my husband and I and asked us what our names were. He then got the attention of the room, let them know who we were and that it was our anniversary. He then proceeded to have everyone sing a song to us that I can't remember. He gave us a handmade sundae and went back to taking care of everyone. About 20 mins later, he asked my husband, myself and the other 2 people celebrating their birthdays to stand up, while he led the room to sing Kool & the Gangs "Celebration." Then he came up to us and gave us a $10 gift card to Starbucks. He hugged us, again said congratulations on our wedding anniversary. Lee needs a huge raise!!! No one has ever made us feel so special. By far the best Sizzler I have ever been to. I came in with a party of 20 to celebrate my niece's birthday a couple weeks ago, and everything about the experience was perfect. The cashiers upfront were joyous and friendly and the manager that sat us, Adam, was very welcoming as he walked us to our table. Our server, Thomas, was one of the most professional waiters I've had in a long time, always greeted us with a smile and he made sure we were all taken care of, and not just us. From the looks of it, he had about 40 people he was taking care of at the same time, but he never let anyone feel forgotten. He also took the time to make a sundae for my niece and come out and sing for her. The food was excellent as well, I suggest trying the steak and unlimited shrimp, and the ambiance in the restaurant overall was perfect. We never felt rushed, forgotten, or overwhelming in there. The food is always good but the star of our dining experience the last time we were there was our server, Lee. Lee is was so amazingly friendly and welcoming. Even during busy times, he went above and beyond to give us attention, frequently checking in on us. His positive vibes are so infectious!! He truly exudes a love and knowledge of the service he is providing to his customers. He even remembered the tiniest details and learned our names. His hospitality was so superb, he made us feel like we were hanging out with him in his home and not a restaurant. Lee allowed us to relax and just enjoy our dining experience. My wife and I recently moved a few years ago to Temecula California. We decided to venture into Marietta to have a nice lunch. While driving around, we found the sizzler, on Marietta Hot Springs Rd. From the beginning, the place was amazing. When you walk in you noticed that the sizzler is extremely clean, the ambience is beautiful, and we were greeted with smiles when we entered. Ordering the food was easy and very great prices. When we went to sit down our server, Jesse, was very pleasant and professional with us. He made sure that we were accommodated in every single way, from getting the drinks, napkins, and also suggesting several things that we may try on the salad bar. We were seated in Lee's section and he was fantastic. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely fun. You could tell he brought a great energy to the whole area, and it made the experience even better. The food was delicious. We ordered the unlimited shrimp and steak combo which was definitely worth it. The sides bar was a highlight for me. Wow! I've been coming to Sizzler since I was a kid! A wee lad, aged wee! But never before have I seen such great service. Shelbee, our server, was amazing, keeping our drinks filled and our requests answered. She was funny, smart, cool, hip, literate (unlike some people I know - I had to help a few people write reviews of their own. They almost spelled her name as Shelves instead of Shelbee. What dummies, right?) and every other good quality under the sun. Best service of my life. What more could I ask? My life is complete. I have seen the best, it's all downhill from here. On our way down south, we always make a point to stop at this location because it's consistently a great experience. Today was no exception. Our server, Lee, was absolutely outstanding. His attention to every table, while still making each guest feel personally cared for, was impressive. The highlight of our visit was when he noticed a young girl who had earned an award. He gathered the restaurant's attention and announced her achievement with the same enthusiasm you'd expect for a birthday celebration. It was such a genuine, joyful moment to witness. He even surprised her with a Starbucks gift card to recognize her hard work. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare. Hello travelers, If you're ever in the city of Murietta, CA and love to eat at Sizzler, may I suggest you go see our friend Veronica our helpful waitress. From the moment we sat down, she was on top of everything, she brought us our drinks as well our delicious cheese toast. We had the unlimited salad bar which was delicious especially their soups, very tasty. I can't say enough about their manager John when Veronica was taking care of other tables he was nice enough to refill our drink. I must say that this Sizzler by far is the best one I've ever visited and felt welcomed. Deceptively good! Always drove by this location and didn't think much of the restaurant. Finally decided to try it out and we are glad we did! First of all, service is spectacular. Julien was absolutely wonderful. He was very attentive and friendly during our visit. I look forward to his service during our next visit. The food- you get what you pay for, but in a good way. The menu is pretty trim- not many sides or entrees. However, the entrees hold up pretty solidly when ordered with the salad bar. This is the gem of this restaurant- it isn't just salad. They have several offerings between soups, salads and some warm items like chicken and build your own tacos. Add all this to their small dessert selection and you have a pretty good night! Food was good, BUT...customer service was even better. It's honestly the best that I have ever experienced in any sit-down restaurant. Our server, Lee, was extremely kind, humorous and VERY attentive. Lee stands out because he actually makes sure that your drinks never run empty and on top of that, he is so respectful and actually seems passionate about what he does. It was my first time going to Sizzlers, and I am looking forward to coming back very soon. Definitely going to request for Lee! As far as cleanliness, this place gets an A+. Food wise, I opted for the steak, medium rare(it was cooked perfectly!) along with the endless shrimp. She was INCREDIBLY friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at HOME. An absolutely stellar dining experience! From the moment we walked in we were INSTANTLY greeted with smiles and friendliness! My mom and I were celebrating our friend Vanessa's birthday and she was so happy with how she got treated! Lee was so kind and helpful in helping us decide what to order and continued to acknowledge and talk to us throughout our stay despite not being our assigned server. Jesse, our official server, did an amazing amazing job at staying on top of our refills, clearing dishes, and was quick to get us anything that we needed. He went the extra mile to make sure Vanessa got a birthday sundae and happy birthday sung; which made her day even more special. I ordered my steak well done, but it arrived bleeding and wasn't even close to medium well. Why ask how I want my steak cooked if you aren't going to cook it that way? The shrimp was cold and incredibly salty. The potato? How do you get a potato wrong? Well, somehow they managed...it was stale and overly salty too. The broccoli I don't even think was steamed for more than a minute before you gave it "seasoning". The entire meal was awful and for $30?!
