We went to your restaurant with a party of 8 Sunday afternoon for a Birthday celebration. Not a happy experience. I am a senior and ordered a sirloin, med well with a baked potato and salad bar. There was a mix-up with my order and never received my steak or potato and still hadn't received it while having dessert. I asked for a refund and wasn't treated too pleasantly. The guy at the registers brought back a refund without saying sorry. Just told me to sign and let me know how much money I got back. So not a happy camper. Will not be going back. read more

Warning! Do Not Eat Here! I took my family to eat here. At first I was a little taken aback by the buffet style set-up that the restaurant has but thought that the atmosphere was ok and was willing to give it a try. After I took one bite of the steak that I ordered, I found a live, crawling maggot in my food. Pretty horrible right? It gets worse. When I told the manager about it he was closed mouthed (didn't say anything) so I asked that we receive a refund for our dinner because we decided to leave (none of the other family members ate). The manager did not offer an apology and argued with us about refunding the food that we didn't eat. When he did give us our money back, he still charged us for the drinks! I've never experienced such disregard for customers and disgusting service from a restaurant as I did at this one. read more

I love Sizzler Steakhouses! Especially the one that is in Oceanside and the other one in Temecula. They have been totally updated and remodeled. I really wish the one on Aero Drive would step up to the plate and do the same! They are owned by different people, so I don't expect that to happen anytime soon! I am a type 2 diabetic, and I feel really comfortable eating there and being able to order a steak, vegetable, and the salad bar, along with iced tea with lemon. I don't allow myself carbohydrates, so this establishment always accomodates me with the freshest ingredients on the salad bar. Also a shout out to the waiter named Leo. He is in Oceanside. I have never found anyone that is more outgoing and more personable than he is. He had just topped off my iced tea, and I told him that wasn't necessary because I was getting ready to depart back to Poway. He suggested that I take my drink in a 'to go' cup that he provided. We ordered steak and Malibu chicken dinners cooked at 3 different levels of wellness. They were perfectly cooked as were the baked potatoes. The flavor and quality of the meat was exceptional. So I ordered that AYCE Rib-let with 6oz steak for lunch today. I was seated which was cool the lead waitress offered Cheese Toast and she said the order should be coming out soon. 27 min later where's my food and people after me get their dishes. So I called the phone number asked the employee how long does it take to get an AYCE Rib-let and 6oz steak. He said 15-20 min. So he asked why and I had told him then why have I not been served yet. Right after that I got up and looked if the party of 2 in front of my were served and they were almost finished. Sebastian the supervisor apologized and said it will be out soon. I had asked how long since Medium rare takes less time than a well done. So I got my plate started eating and the lady came out and offered anything. I asked what caused my food to be late. She mentioned the chef made a mistake and said food was ready for another table and it was my dish. So I asked her the table that got me food ordered a 6oz steak and Rib-lets with Sautéed mushrooms and vegetable medley? She said yes, then I questioned her then why does my receipt say 6oz steak and rib-lets and the food in front of me is rib-lets, steak, and shrimp with vegetable medley and mushroom. Were they trying to butter me up??? Silly them I rarely eat shrimp. This is the worst Sizzlers. Murrieta, Escondido, Kearney Mesa, and Corona have way better customer service than this location. NEVER EVER EAT HERE AGAIN. I didn't have a chance to eat AYCE because I had rush to finish most of my food to head to work!!! Thanks A lot sizzlers. Haha you offered food comp I took it!! My wife and I came to this location not knowing what the food would be like once it came out. To our great surprise our dinners were very fresh and delicious as well as the salad bar very tasty. Our family goes out to eat usually once or twice a week...7 of us. Either Sizzler or Souplantation...tonight we went to Sizzler but most likely won't be returning. you get a kids meal with a drink... $5.99 plus $1.39 for kids drink, they ask what kind of drink do you want for the kids drink, most our kids drink milk...so milk it is. They charge an extra $1.40 for milk (no refills) on top of the $1 .39 they already charge for a kids drink. When I asked the manager about that he says yep that's what it is, I ask if they should be telling people about this crazy upgrade charge and he says... yeah, maybe. Definitely not how a restaurant should be run we are so disappointed in this place and the lack of management skills read more

Went for lunch today. The decor had been updated since I last ate there. It is very nice and very clean. Anyone who has eaten at sizzler knows you walk up and order and pay before you are seated. My friend paid by credit card and was asked if she would like to leave a tip. We were surprised to be asked this. Unless the establishment has an automatic tax you usually leave a tip based on the service you receive. That really bothered me because it puts the customer on the spot and could embarrass the customer. Bad policy. We ordered the salad bar and there were plenty of choices. Everything was fresh and was what I would expect from Sizzler. I enjoyed my lunch and will come back. read more

Overpriced food; everything is ala carte; really terrible service: Ate here on 10/31/2013 and was incredibly disappointed with the service and outrageous prices. Ordered a steak for $14.99 and my guest ordered a salmon platter, also $14.99; yet neither came with a salad; the salad is a $5.00+ surcharge! Even Outback provides a salad with their meals! Party of two came to almost $50.00, without the tip. The quality of the food on the "premium" salad bar seemed more akin to a cafeteria, rather than a steakhouse. Jamie W's review of 10/28/13 summed it up nicely; the food smacks of Sysco ingredients. My steak was also tough, although the salmon dish was well prepared. Re: the poor service; the waitress never came back to refill my ice tea even once, and we had to ask for everything. We were not through eating when we were then rushed out the door when another waiter came over and just began removing our plates, which was not requested by either of us. I can think of better places to spend $25.00 per person, but it definitely is not here. I do not expect Cordon Bleu quality at this price point to be sure, but there comes a time during the meal such as this when you suddenly realize that you have been "had". Epic fail. read more

My family has been here 3 times and it's only been re-open a week! We will probably average once/month in the future. It seems like the same food, but my family really likes it. My 11 year old son was raving about the rolls, but others like the cheese toast (available by request). We really missed having Sizzler as an option as something between Denny's and Outback. I like that you can just get the salad bar or add an entree. I hope they make a go of it this time. I agree that the helpful, friendly staff is a nice improvement. Where has the quality control gone!!?? The clam chowder was like water, hardly any clams or potatoes and only lukewarm! Chicken noodle had more carrots and celery than chicken or noodles and salty! Beef vegetable had too many carrots and celery. The albondagas soup was meatballs from Costco! Server did not offer us bread, very slow in dish pick up and not very friendly. The salads were ok as usual. The beef taco meat was bland but the wings were crispy and the desserts were sweet. Probably be awhile before we get over this meal!! read more

Stopped by today Sunday around 1pm with my twin granddaughters (14) visiting from Nebraska...they love Sizzler (there are none near where they live) so going was a trest, looking forward to Salad Bar and Sizzler Toast. Well....the waitress brings us over for the 3 of us "1" slice of toast! Stating they ran out!!!! What? I said. She said look around we are so busy we ran out.....Okkkkkkkk We were pretty upset about this since the main reason was the yummy toast. After a while I asked a waiters that normally helps my husband and I when visiting. He was serving "Toast" to 2 other tables with NO problem. I asked him "I thought there was no more toast", he began to tell me that the Manager rations the food and does not listen to the waiters when they complain, this for personal gain as when the restaurant makes a higher $ gain then he the Mgr receives a higher monthly commission. I do not know if this is correct or not. So he told me I should tell the Mgr myself. So I did. The Mgr came over and I asked him about the Toast shortage, he said "Oh there is none! We have plenty being made in the kitchen, its probably the servers who are busy and don't want to make the extra trips to the kitchen"! What!!!? Within minutes HE brought over a plate with 3 slices of Sizzler toast. What is going on there? I have visited Sizzlers for over 40 years and NEVER have they been short on their prize Sizzler Toast! read more

My bf suggested, and @ first I was not thrilled. But to our surprise the place had been remodeled, was busy, and staff was great! The salad bar is huge, the food was great!
