My mother and I dined here after an evening of shopping around town. It's been about eight years since we've been to this place, so I decided to bring her here because Sizzler is one of her favorite places to go to, and they have upgraded their look in and out of the restaurant. It's definitely better looking and comfortable now than it was years ago. Service was great, but the food was just okay. Way back in the day, they served cheese toast as the complimentary bread. Now, they give you dinner rolls that are lackluster by itself or with butter. You have to request the cheese toast now, but it's a plus that they'll provide it at no charge. My mother had the steak and shrimp with baked potato. The steak was cooked medium-well; however, according to my mother, the steak was tough, and not all the the shrimps were deveined. The best thing on her plate was the baked potato. Sadly, my mother did not enjoy her dinner. I, too, did not enjoy my meal. I had the Cedar Plank Salmon. It was almost cooked perfectly, and it needed more flavor for my palate. The green beans were overcooked and bland. Disappointed! Service made up for the overall rating. You can guess what my rating is for food. I don't know if I'll return unless I'm going here with a die-hard fan. read more

It would seem that the new manager(s) need lessons from the former manager. The decline in quality, taste, and timeliness in replacing old food is astounding. Today was my final visit. The deserts (apple crisp, bread pudding) were dried out. We'd been there over an hour, and still the same. The wings and onion rings were overcooked, dry, and cold. The spaghetti noodles resembled uncooked Ramen. The Bourbon-Peppercorn steak tips were almost like gristle(turned down a takehome container). Several salad plates were dirty... During Covid restaurants have a hard time managing. The Sizzler in Yuba City is doing an excellent job. The servers were attentive and efficient. Even the manager came outside to check on us! The neighborhood chickens came to visit and we thought it was charming. The food was excellent, fresh and delicious as always. We will happily go back. read more

I took my Husband to Sizzler for his birthday dinner. He and my granddaughter ordered Steak and unlimited shrimp. I ordered small sirloin My granddaughter and I ordered our steaks well done. When we received our steaks they were very pink. More so than my husbands which was medium done. Our waitress was nowhere to be found and I'm not sure I'd send it back anyway. We were never offered more shrimp because we never heard back from our waitress after she delivered our food and drinks. This birthday meal cost $80+ and two out of the three of us left hungry and had to fix something for dinner when we got home. Bad experience with both service and food. read more

Sizzler salad bar has reopened and it's basically the same...still good, fresh and well presented. However...prices have gone up (which is kinda understandable with recovering from Covid, etc) BUT they have also cut back on some of the favorite items that used to be available with salad bar including baked potatoes, Mac and cheese, chicken wings, rolls, and the dessert bar just has the ice cream now. Well this place has gotten fancy inside but the skim on the food. We had steak and lobster ant the lobster was about a 3/4 of and inch thick....it was terrible my son had the steak and babyback ribs with fries which he enjoyed the fries...... the waitress was good the hostess who took our order seemed to not care and had a chip on her shoulder.....(Vanessa) ...The temperature in the restaurant was uncomfortable not cool more to the warmer side, they had a fan in the next Isle over. WE GOIN' SIZZLAH... IN YUUUUUBA!! When you look at how the seating arrangements and design of the chairs at this location, you'd think you were at a wedding reception. It's very spacey, but there's a lack of privacy due to no barriers. There's nothing to say about the food if you have eaten at any Sizzler, so I'll talk about the service. Usually I go on the tip schedule of 'f you', '$1 for your thoughts', and '10%'. There is that rare occasion where I will give you something larger. You might get my tip if you give the greatest service ever or there is that time when I'm in a really good mood and you're so good looking that I might have spare change. The waitress in this case happened to be both and since they let us in the restaurant right at close, she was able to give fast service and chat. After I gave her the tip, she started dancing for me with the vacuum shaking her butt. That was instant gratification! If I wasn't such a cheapskate, I might have given her another $5 for those moves. I had to ask if she lived in the area and why her fine ass was working at a Sizzler. Well,. I have not been to a Sizzler restaurant in about 15 years. The last time was in Sacramento and it was pretty good, but that was before they closed a bunch of their stores and restructured the Sizzler chain. Came here for lunch and it was fairly busy for a weekday. I had the Double Lemon Chicken and I there was basically no taste to it. More like a frozen dinner fresh from the microwave. At least the service was OK, my server came back over and over to check up on me and to make sure I had enough to drink. I think next time I come here I'll just stick to the World Famous Salad Bar. read more

I had a dish consisting of button mushrooms and charred steak pieces on top of mashed potatoes smothered in crappy brown gravy and topped with over cooked and soggy onion strings. As a regular, I always order the salad bar. I love the broad range of choices of both cold and hot foods. It is my favorite in the area because of the amount of fresh vegetables there are to choose from. The service is good with a friendly staff.
