Worst experience ever. Salad bar sucked. Entrée was not what was ordered. No bacon on the bacon cheese burger. No gravy on the mashed potatoes. Fries were cold and soggy. I went to this restaurant with my family for my birthday, well for starters I had to wait an hour for a Philly cheese steak. The philly cheese steak was about 17$ I think and it was terrible it was basically beef on top of a toasted hot dog bun with one big onion and one mushroom and usually a philly is served with Provolone or Swiss cheese not American. Also it's served with dipping but I guess not. It basically tasted like a cheese burger on hot dog bread. I should have went to silver dollar they make the BEST for $14 plus birthday people eat for free.! The manager was super nice but why does it take for somebody to say something about their food they paid for for you to bring it out? The manager was nice though. What is there to say? Most Sizzlers are the same, mediocrity in the food and service and regret when it's toilet time. Lol. In response to elaborate. It seems as though the majority of employees working at the majority of Sizzlers are not thrilled about working there. In my experience they are not friendly (the greeter/cashier) and the wait staff that waited on me never came around to see if I needed more water or how my experience was. They simply didn't care. The food: There is a reason why I see more elderly there than middle aged or youth alike. The food is sub par even compared to the Asian buffet in Yuba City, go try them both and let's debate that. There is a huge difference in where people work and why they there, there is also a difference in how employees are treated and how they treat their customer. My husband and I went here to grab a quick bite on Memorial Day. Like most other establishments in Yuba City, we expected the worst. Surprisingly, it was actually a very pleasant dining experience. I have visited this location on numerous occasions and I feel kudos is due to such a great establishment. Ricardo and his staff are very professional, courteous and a caring team. This location is very clean, service is quick and the food is excellent. Ricardo makes sure that you don't want for anything when visiting this location. I recommend this restaurant to others. They deserve 0 stars. The food is absolutely trash. The steak has 0 seasoning, which all "good" steaks shouldn't need steak sauce. The salad bar is old, and the shrimp is unseasoned. My baked potato that I ordered (loaded, +$1) came without toppings, and they had the same ingredients at the salad bar that I had unlimited access to, for free! So normally we come here to enjoy dinner with the family. We went over for Christmas dinner and it didn't look that busy. Maybe a small handful of people. It took the waitress 20 mins to take our drink order but we waited patiently then waited bout 15 mins to actually get out drinks and she got our food and the food came out in an ok time but our mashed potatoes were cold and my bbq ribs were so dry and we only got refills when we asked for them and. Went here with my wife for lunch, I ordered riblets with corn on the cob and French fries. The fries were the best part of the whole experience, but I'm sure they're just frozen from a bag. The riblets were dry and tasted old, and I couldn't take a single bite from the corn because one side was burned, and I'm not talking just a little bit here and there it was straight up black, and the other side look like it wasn't cooked at all, so I picked it up to smell it, and it was the nastiest smell. There is no way that corn was fresh. The server was ok, she was just busy and not super friendly. I left feeling sick to my stomach and regretful about the money I spent. Then to top it all off, I realized later that day that I had left my $200 Oakley sunglasses sitting on the table. I wasn't able to pick them up that day, so I called and asked if they could hold onto them and to ask when they opened. Well they not only told me the wrong time, but then when they finally open and I get the glasses, there is a huge scratch in one of the lenses!!! So now my day is ruined because I'm running late AND I have to now replace my TWO HUNDRED DOLLAR SUNGLASSES!!!! This was a big two thumbs down. Gordon Ramsay would be ashamed. read more

I'm definitely never coming here again. The manager with the glasses were super rude to my little brother. My little brother was asking him questions saying hello and the manager with the glasses just looks at him like a dumb ass, pauses and stares at me and goes "hi". Mind you he is 7 years old . Our waitress took 20 mins to even get our drinks and an extra 30 to give us bread. My mom has stage 3 breast cancer so bread and crackers was all she could hold down. Super rude and since the radiation dries her lips and face out she had to wait 20 mins on a small thing of soda. The waitress never refilled her soda up. She was super impatient. I asked for her twice to get my mom some Dr Pepper and she never did. That's just lousy service. I'm glad my daughter made a mess with the dried cold potato wedges. If you can't be nice than don't work in anything that has to do with waiting on others such as customer service. We won't be coming back which is a shame cause we have been going there a lot lately . read more

Wonderful and fresh salad bar with all the fixings! The greens were fresh, and there was a great variety for toppings. There was a taco bar, spaghetti bar, and soup as well as dessert. We got the bourbon Peppercorn steak and it was really amazing but they only give you five Little bites of steak. We told them that and they said the 5 pcs was standard. I have been coming to this Sizzler for a year or so and have had really great service and really bad service. Sadly tonight was a bad one. We arrived and they were pretty busy but we were seated quickly. We ordered a double malibu chicken, a fish n chips, and just a salad bar with three of their signature lemonades. We were all able to go to the salad bar and my 2yo son finished a whole bowl of mac n cheese by the time they finally brought the drinks and bread. As i reached to grab a bread i saw it was kind of punctured. I took a closer look at it and noticed some greenish brown looking stuff. At first i thought maybe a chef accidently touched it with a dirty glove but upon closer inspection i saw the stuff all over the inside of the bread. It was mold. I brought it up to the waitress and she kind of was like "oh.. would you like me to take that bread for you? " in my head im thinking, "no i want to eat moldy bread in a nice restaurant." She took the ONE bread. As she started walking away my dad was like "do you want another piece?" To which i replied, "honestly no. I dont even want to touch the other breads" if there is mold in one bread it is very likely it is in the other ones. After hearing me say that the waitress stops and asks "would you like me to take the rest of the bread?" I nodded and handed her the basket and thanked her. Now a person would assume a manager wpuld come around and apologize for the mistake just to let you know they knew that there was an issue. We never got a manager to come up to us that whole night. The waitress who served us actually was still pushing the bread onto the table next to us. I just hope she told a manager and he took care of it. I will probably go back but after tonight's instance i probably wont go back for a long time. read more

My husband I were driving around yuba city. Unfortunately, our favorite restaurant was closed so we were on a hunt for a place. When looking up restaurants near by sizzlers came up and without thinking about it twice we decided to go. I feel our expectations of the place was a little to high. The service was not good. The main courses were awful it tasted like it was premade days before. i ordered shrimp alfredo and it tasted like canned shrimp and the pasta was wayyyy over cooked. Sizzler keeps going downhill. It was once a favorite of my wife and her mom, but I think they may have had enough. Most recently, my wife had to send her steak back because it was badly underdone. They waited for probably 15 minutes - and her Mom had not yet gotten her meal! The manager stopped by and my wife told him about the problem. They finally got both steaks to the table. I have not been here in over 10 years. Coworkers told to retry it. I wish I hadn't. This location is still poor. The young man at the register was borderline rude. The shift manager was setting other patrons in front of us and then disappeared. We stood waiting for someone to seat us because that's what a bus person told us we were to do. I am from Modesto, and unfortunately I had to attend a funeral with my parents. Afterward we were hungry and I suggested we go to Sizzlers for lunch. When I arrived there was somewhat a long line....but it dissipated pretty quickly. We were greeted by the friendly cashier and we picked out seats. We had a wonderful, kind waitress attending to our needs. Her name was Missy. She was so sweet and constantly came over to cleaned up our table. (I ordered the unlimited salad bar) and asked us if we wanted anything. She was attentive to our needs. I think that this Sizzler restaurant is fortunate to have a superb employee like Missy. I had to pleasure of dining at Sizzler this evening. What a pleasant surprise! There was only a slight wait to get to the registers of patrons lined up to place our orders to eat at the buffet. We had two of their senior meals and we had another couple with us and they had regular meals with salad bar. They have good prices on senior meals with salad bar and your drink. Very good pricing for the Yuba City area. We were seated in a nice booth that was very clean by the manager who said his name was Shaun. It's the first time we met him. We have been seated by others there but this is the first time we met Shaun and what a delightfully pleasant person! Marguerite was a great server. She came to our table, got our order, brought our drinks and our rolls/cheesy bread right away. We began to use the salad bar and soup counter. My favorite is the vegetable beef soup. My wife likes the salad bar and chicken wings. If you can't find enough on the salad bar to fill if that's all you're having, then you must not be going back for more helpings enough! The Sizzler's food is vast in quantity and very varied. By the time my food came I was so stuffed from eating so much salad and soup that I had to have part of my dinner boxed. But oh well I'll have leftovers for tomorrow night. My wife said her steak was good, very tender and flavorful. Our company said they enjoyed their steaks also. Another favorite of mine there is their cheesy bread. Makes me happy when I eat it. Anyway if you're in the mood to entertain with company or just have friends over and go out to eat; Then try the Sizzler! You won't be sorry. Their food is always hot when it's supposed to be hot and cold when it's supposed to be chilled. And their servers are a delight. I can't say enough good about this place. Yuba City - Doesn't have a lot of steak places to eat at but I'm glad they still have sizzler! Give it a try you won't be sorry. Your company will have enough to eat to satisfy them and don't forget the desserts. We've only been eating here like about three times a month. But with my new job and the time it takes my wife to drive home and then cook dinner we plan on eating at the Sizzler a lot more. All the way from the desk to the door we were treated like we were customers in a 5 star restaurant. We ordered the salad bar which includes a hot bar with things like tacos, wings etc. The food was good a lot of comfort foods (yum) not fine dining however, this is a salad bar. The customer service was WOW. The service staff went above and beyond to make our stay feel welcome. I would return again and again. I usually am not much of a buffet person as I feel like I am just a face in a sea of food forgotten and alone, this place is different. I felt more welcome and respected. read more

Steak was very tough and about a third of each one was pure fat. Expected more from a place that "specializes" their menu around steak. 2, 6oz and 1, 8oz lucky to get 12 oz total after fat. I must really not like Yuba City or something... I came here for lunch today, or technically yesterday. The first thing the lady said when my party of 13 came in was "oh my God". Oh my God, what? It's your job, grow up. Anyway, the lady serving us our drinks and such was nice, so she got a nice tip. The food was not all that great... I had the Malibu chicken with the endless salad bar. The only thing I would eat here is the fried chicken wings from the endless salad bar. Not a big fan of Sizzler besides the chicken wings, but this Sizzler wasn't that great compare to the one in Colma. read more
