One of the best Thai places! Service is always great. Amazing food which is always on point.

I came in during lunchtime. I took a look at their lunch specials but as the prices were only a bit less than the normal dishes, I decided to get a regular plate of Panang Curry. The dish did say it came with rice, but it is on the smaller side. I ran out of rice after a few spoonfuls when mixing it with the curry. That was quite disappointing. Onto the main dish itself, the Panang Curry is supposed to taste like peanut and coconut milk, in addition to some spice depending on what level of spiciness you pick. Unfortunately, the curry had almost no flavor. I am glad it wasn't watery, but I tasted neither the peanuts nor the coconut milk. I did taste a bit of chili (as I picked mild) but that wasn't what I expected from this curry. It could be that this is supposed to be a super spicy curry, but since this wasn't the default spice mentioned, I expected the other flavors to be more pronounced. Lastly, I chose pork as the meat portion of the curry. The meat was tough to chew and also lacked flavor. All of this made for a lunch that I did not enjoy. That, coupled with the lack of service from the staff, leads me to have to give one star. With other Thai restaurants in the area, I don't see myself returning anytime soon. read more

It's been a while since I have had their food here. But since I remember their food is great and portions are fair. I'm leaving this review because I went there just a few days ago for Thai tea and white rice and I had my daughter with me in my arms. After I paid, I said I will be back for the drinks. The man working there was very kind and offered to bring the drinks to my car. They were very sweet to my daughter and their customer service was great over all. We're going through a pandemic and they are working with smiles on their faces. I will be back for food soon! read more

Wow this place is so delicious! This amazing Thai restaurant came up on my TikTok. I love it Thai food so I wanted to try it out. My boyfriend and I ordered through Yelp - we ordered the spicy pad Thai, spicy combination fried rice, and something else I totally forgot - and the wait time was not so bad (30 min). Came yesterday with a coworker. Service was awful. One person running around, and t was busy around 12:45 for lunch time. We couldn't get seated because so many tables were dirty with the checks still sitting there Parking was difficult. Ordering was easy. Lunch deal isn't bad for the price but it's not good quality Thai food whatsoever. Chicken was really thin and rubbery. Asked for spicy pad Thai and drunken noodles and got bland noodles and hardly any sauce. We never got forks or spoons or napkins, what a joke!! Then never got water refilled and I wanted sauce and water several times. Come on for Downey we should do better people, we need a good Thai place in the area. I won't be returning. Such a great find for this area!!!!! Definitely a great place for lunch. I came here last week and I ordered the lunch special beef pad see ew. It was fantastic. Portion size is perfect, big but not ridiculous. It came with a salad, soup, rice, and wontons, so the price was great at under $7. The service is good and the ambiance is surprisingly great as well. Best Thai food I have found locally! I ordered take out and it was delicious, I got an appetizer that included multiple types of fried shrimp and wontons that was super yummy. Ordered the pad see ew with fried tofu , veggie egg rolls and a Thai tini... nothing stood out much except for the broccoli in the main dish .. service was okay but not memorable or attentive . We were quoted 20 minutes on the phone and when I arrived 25 minutes later, food was ready to go: Pineapple fried rice with chicken only. Chicken Pad Thai. Beef Pad See Ew. (Medium spicy) Total with tax came out to ~$32.00 Pros: Very delicious food. All three items were good and had lots of flavor. Portions were very decent size for the price on the items. The 4 stars is for the food quality, although I admit it is a little pricey for the portions. It's a little gem inside of Downey, on the corner of Stewart and Gray and Downey avenue. Went here with a friend on a Wednesday night and ordered the Tom Yum and the Spicy fried rice, I also ordered a bowl of white rice and Thai iced tea . Us being spicy eaters, we ordered the fried rice as spicy, and man it was super duper spicy to the point that it couldn't be eaten. We sent it back and told them just that, and they toned down the spiciness with no questions asked, so we appreciated that. The tom yum was good though, we ordered medium spiciness level and it came just perfectly right in a little hot pot thing. Overall, I think the food is pretty awesome, the service is good, and because it's not as busy all the time it is good for a quiet dinner. read more

I've driven by this place for years, never have I tried Thai food,( I'm a very picky meat eater). so, one night like many I didn't want to cook, and I was tired of drive thru so I looked up this place on yelp and they had great reviews so I decided to try it. The first time I brought it home, a few days later went there to eat with friends, needless to say I'm hooked. I'm so glad they deliver and I live in the perimeter of their delivery service. This place is hands down my favorite thai place in LA! Every time I come down to LA I make sure I go to this place when I can. Everything I've got in the menu has been great. The staff is nice and the food is worth the wait. I get the drunken noddles and the Thai ribs and my friend gets the Pad Thai and the tofo soup and everything is to die for! Potions are huge so keep in mind we always take to go. We order so much because we know we like to eachother food dishes and take some home for the long trip back home. I never noticed this place when I drive through Stewart and Gray but I'm glad I found this restaurant when I was looking for food on Uber eats. I ordered chicken chow mein noodles, pineapple fried rice with chicken, and spicy basil a la carte as well. I was very surprised at how delicious the spicy basil with chicken was because at first sight I have to admit I didn't think I was going to like it but boy was I wrong. One bite and I was extremely happy. The chicken chow mein looked basic but it had all the flavor necessary. Ugh and the pineapple fried rice was so yummy!
