Placed on online order for pickup of 4 entrees. In the notes, requested to add green onions to the chicken fried rice. When I got home from picking up order, I see I have an updated message from Sizzling Wok that they adjusted my total adding an additional $8.66 for making the change to the fried rice. So, I paid $8.66 to have green onions sprinkled on top. They didn't mention the extra cost to me at pickup, and they charged my credit card the extra total without my acknowledgement. There was no way to reply to the message. I sent an email to their contact us on their web page, and they never responded. I don't mind paying extra for an add-on, but the total seemed excessive. read more

We walked in at 4 on Sunday. They have a good dinner special that gives you lots of food for the price (appetizer, soup, and main dish with choice of rice or lo mein.) Orange chicken was good. Fried rice seemed dry like it had been sitting out for a while. I didn't eat more than a bite of the soup because it was too hot outside. The cheese rangoons that came with the special had nothing in them. I thought it would be cream cheese but I barely saw a remnant of cheese? Confused but didn't want to eat just fried wontons. This place definitely seems to cater to take out but there is some seating. Everything was served on styrofoam plates if you eat in. I got a lunch special of Mongolian beef and I upgraded the soup to a 32 oz for $4 more. The soup was good and so was the beef. But I wish there was more beef than onions and green peppers. Cream cheese Rangoon and chicken egg rolls. When I tell you they did not disappoint. I think this is the best shrimp fried rice I've had in quite some time. Even though it was delivered it was still at a temperature I could enjoy. The chicken egg roll was delicious. The cream cheese Rangoon was delicious and fresh. Went by on a Saturday afternoon because I was in the area. Ordered teriyaki chicken and lemon chicken. The teriyaki was small pieces of mostly dry chicken in a thin, sweet teriyaki sauce. The lemon chicken was pieces of breaded and fried chicken, not a breast. The crab rangoon was just okay. I thought the egg roll was pretty good, but not very big. Even the steamed rice was a little dry. Overall, not the best experience. There are probably better options nearby. read more

I used to live in this area and got a menu at my doorstep. Haven't stopped coming since. All of my food is hot and fresh. Customer service can be better, but nothing to make a big deal about. Sizzling Wok is the epitome of Chinese comfort food. I've periodically visited this business since my high school days and it's one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. It's family owned, reasonably priced, and my friends and I always leave feeling satisfied and stuffed full of authentic food. It's a smaller, cozy hole in the wall place with an amazing staff that's great for casual meals. The menu has all of the usual Chinese dishes so if there's a dish you already know you'll like, you'll be able to find it here. I've tried a lot of their menu in the past, but on my most recent visit with my fiancé we ordered the Kung Pao Chicken with Lo Mein, Egg Drop Soup, and Cheese Rangoons, and the Teriyaki Chicken with White Rice, Egg Roll, and Chicken Egg Roll Lunch Specials. Everything came out piping hot and was extremely fresh. I chose the spicier Kung Pao which had a good kick to it without overbearing your tongue and veggies prepared to a texture that's tender without feeling mushy. The Lo Mein was marinated in a savory sauce that complimented the noodles but also allowed for you to dip in the sauces of your main dish without clashes in flavor profiles. Though I loved my King Pao Chicken, my fiancé's Teriyaki Chicken was even better. The teriyaki was packed full of flavor and the chicken was fall apart tender. There was a lot of the teriyaki left over so you could eat it with the fluffy white rice and enjoy it even after you were finished with the chicken. As for the additional sides, the Egg Drop Soup has managed to have a consistently subtle taste with a rich texture throughout the years, the Cheese Rangoons were crunchy on the outside and deliciously creamy on the inside, and the Chicken Egg Roll was crisp with a lovely filling that tasted even better with the Sweet and Sour Sauce that came with it. If you're thinking that this sounds like a TON of food, you're absolutely right. We always have lots of leftovers, and they taste just as fantastic every time. You're missing out if you don't give Sizzling Wok a try, and you'll be sad you didn't try it sooner. Food was extremely hot, after an hour drive home it was still like it was just picked up. The chicken egg rolls and cheese rangoons were delicious. This is a hidden gem. The food is fresh! The location is small but wow the taste! They have so many options to offer so your a bit overwhelmed but whatever you pick you won't be disappointed. I'm giving it five stars because it really deserves it. It's not fancy at all. Food served on Styrofoam and plastic silverware at the counter seat yourself, get your own drink, clean your table when you're finished. But the food is really good. And one thing I really appreciated was they gave you everything you needed so you didn't have to ask for it, like sweet sour sauce for your egg roll and crispies for your soup. Other places you'd have to go and ask for these things and likely pay for them extra. And the prices are so good. They have tons of options. All the standard Chinese and other things that I'm not sure what classification they fall into. Service is quick. I'd consider removing a star for ambience/dining room and interior. But a lot of it is likely not their fault. It's probably whomever they lease from that should update/cleanup drop ceiling tiles that have leaked and are stained. The walls need a chair rail/paint. But things are clean, and the decor is appropriate for a small Chinese restaurant. They don't have a soda fountain, but they do have sweet and unsweet tea with cups and ice, which works for me.
