I've contemplated about making a post about this. To keep the story short, I was rear ended and took my vehicle to the SJ Denham Collison Repair shop here in Redding, CA. While it's at the shop, all my recovery gear was stolen and they refused to cover any of the missing items. Honestly I was upset for a while but even so I came to the point of accepting what's lost and moving on. I've always preached and stand by positivity. Didn't want to cause trouble or stir up drama. So a lot of my close friends and family members suggested that I should make a post. Not to bash on them, because I know they've done great work for some people, but to put awareness out there to help the "next victim" or a future customer. So I dropped off my vehicle at their service shop for about a week and a half as they ordered parts and to paint the bumper. I received a late call Friday around 3:30-4pm that a few of the cars have been burglarized and mine being one of them the night prior. (I thought to myself if it happened the night before, why am I getting a late call the next day leaving me not enough time to make it to the shop before they closed for the weekend?). I went first thing Monday morning to inspect the vehicle itself and didn't see broken windows or scratched marks around key entries. I also checked my items and my whole vehicle was stripped clean. Literally spotless. Left no mess or anything. So my suspicions grew. I contacted the police department and filed a report. Also had an Officer go and inspect the car as well. Even she stated that it's "odd" and "sketchy" that no points of entry was damaged or broken, being that my vehicle was burglarized. So the shop had me write down on paper of all my missing items and In the end refused to cover any of my recovery/emergency essentials left in the car. All the people that I've spoken to immediately said it's a "inside job." Even with my suspicions I've decided to take the lost and wanted to just move on with my life. Didn't want anything thing drag me down. Throughout the whole time, not one time did the service manager said he's sorry for what had happened. No compassion or is remorseful for a customer. Even so, I remained patient with them and tried calling for updates but I didn't feel like they made me a priority. Never returned my voicemails and everyone else that I've talked to besides the service manager was not aware that my vehicle was broken into or had stuff stolen. Hmmm . Makes the situation A little more odd and suspicious... I've entrusted the shop to take care of my vehicle and they never once warned me that the area is high in car theft and burglary until after what had happened to me. With that notice, a big corporation like SJ Denham doesn't have video surveillance at their shop? Apparently, a patrol vehicle comes around a few times after hours only? Why not reach out and warn a customer? I've always taken the high road and again I want to reinstate that this post is not to bash on their business but to put awareness out there. Over priced, work not done on time, doesn't stand behind there warrenty. I have boughten 4 vehicles and all ways have problems, never again

Took my son's truck there to be fixed from an accident. They took their time ran into some issues with other cars, left his truck sitting there in there lot for two weeks without even being touched, used up all his rental car allowance. Said the vehicle was under a lifetime warranty paint and stuff started falling apart, and now they refused to fix it. They were very rude and awful and terrible and very unreliable. so this place I didn't realize this is a chop shop run by the uncivilized unfortunately for me I brought my 2019 one-of-a-kind dodge charger in there for a simple repair and unfortunately play discriminated because I'm transgender and let's say if it was you do you think I'm just gonna leave it as they pulled off my door and took a grinder wheel to the a pillar and the door frame. No parent reason other than to total my car in the shop and then when I came to pick it up, they shut the back window into the trunk with a window Louver on top of that I could tell they pulled a part all my wiring for my PA system and my siren so I don't know what they had in mind, but it didn't happen this time. I hope they're gonna get in contact and fix my car this time, at least pay for it like a hack. When I already had one auto repair shop, tell me what was gonna cost to to fix it 12 grand from them they gave me an estimate of nine grand, which I thought was good at the time so for anyone out there thinking about them go to somebody else, my friend Hey screwed me over in her face told her when I said you've done this before I can tell by the look they're giving me through their door. I made a police report it's going to end badly I really hope not because my car is looking real badly. read more

Really really amazing! Not only was the body work spot on, the customer service was out of this world! I've had work done a handful of times and I wanted to leave a review about the experience we had just last week. The work is always done well and the front desk ladies are always friendly. The guy who did our walk around to show the work they did ended up also putting some plastic bolts on a part of the car they didn't even work on, just because it needed it. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!! After hitting a very big buck in a Fiat 500 I took it to SJ Denham. The person who was supposed to be helping me never retuned my calls. I told them the CD player was jammed and gave them some trim parts that came off the car. NO RETURN CALL. So I went by. They said the car was done. The CD player and body parts never addressed. As soon as I attempted to roll the window down it screamed like I had bad brakes. I have video. I took it back. The window mount was broken and door was also hung wrong. I went a few days later to pick it up. Door still wrong and had a gap. They said come back in an hour. An hour later I went back. MY CAR WAS COVERED in body filler dust and wet spray (not from my car). The car was clean an hour earlier. Just rude and mean. Servers me right for wanting it done right, I guess. When I asked about the CD player and missing trim parts. They dismissed the trim completely. He then stuck a pocket knife in my CD player trying to remove the CD. It's now permanently stuck. I decided to cut my losses. CD player still broken, trim pieces still missing and carefully placed layers of Gorilla Tape keeping my door from rattling. They also used after market knock off parts. I had requested all factory parts. Come on, your a Fiat Dealership ! DON'T GAMBLE ON SJ Denham THEY JUST DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR!! read more

I have had work done at this collision center in the past and been satisfied but something has changed. They must have gotten a new manager or he is just more visible then in the past. Any how I tried to have some factory Mopar accessories installed that I purchased from the parts department and the manager kept putting me off from having them installed. I believed he was worried that he was in over his head and did not possess the skill level needed for the install. Had to take the vehicle to Reeds Body shop to have parts installed that turned out perfect ! I should have went there in the first place and not even wasted my time however one would think that you could have the parts installed at the same dealer you purchase them from. S J Denham did great work on my Denali it was really scratched up by a Rottweiler, they had to repaint because of Deep Scratches, even after I've had my car for a month and we came back twice for a couple of things that we're not quite right and they were so good about getting right on and fixing the things that were wrong so this is a big shout out for S&J denim. read more

Your service manager needs to rethink your policy of throwing the dirty old fenders and broken parts taken off of the car and thrown onto the seats. That's a huge NO NO with all the other garages and dealers I know of. What the Hell! read more

Early May 15' my car was damaged by a city employee with a riding lawnmower. Dents covering the car and a broken window. I was referred to SJ by the city risk manager not knowing the owner and city employee were long time friends. During the estimate I explained that the ENTIRE car was covered with chips and needed to be repainted. They told me three days is all they would need. 2 weeks of no one returning my calls they finally told me to come pick up the car. I showed up and they only painted the drivers side and the rest of the car was still full of chips. 3 more weeks went by and I contacted them again and they told me "sorry its taking so long it's tedious work." They told me everything from "is the new EPA style paint" and "it wouldn't have taken so long if you (myself) hadn't put it back into production." After 2 1/2 months they said "It's done"!!! It wasn't!! They only painted the passenger side this time. After 4 months my car was finished. They told me it was my fault for "putting it back in production". I bought the car brand new in March, it went to the shop in June and just had it fully completed in December. Bad costumer service, poor management skills. They gave many more excuses for poor work and bad service but hope this is enough to steer you away. Oh ya then charged the city $8100 for a paint job on a 15' VW golf. Quotes elsewhere.. I have dealt with this shop on three different occasions in the past ten years. They are nice people to meet by accident. We had a fender bender this morning on the way home from Klamath Falls this morning. I brought my vehicle in this morning and these folks treated me as if I was royalty. The treatment I received the first time I came in was exactly the same as today. Within one hour, they had my truck checked in and a rental truck ready for me to use. There work is impeccable and all of the personnel treat you as if you are related. No exageration. They were even busy in their office and they still didn't keep me waiting. overall not impressed with service. my car was towed to this location after a repair center in a nearby county fried a computer piece that they could not fix. I arrived at the dealership before 1pm. although they were busy, the staff knew I was from out of town and was on a short time frame. they ran tests on the car about 3pm to diagnose the problem and then told me they had to do one more test to make sure and if my PCM was really the problem they needed to order the part before 4 to have it in the following day. it just so happened the part wasn't ordered until 430 leaving me not only to miss work but to be stranded in a hotel room for an entire day. when the car was finally taken care off I drove off with another problem. returning to the dealership they diagnosed that the piece they had put in was infact defective. I fail to understand why the staff 1) can not prioritize vehicles correctly and 2) do not verify parts before they put them in cars! I assume they wouldn't put a flat tire on a car...so the same goes for defective parts. other than the pore mechanic department the staff at the service desk was fantastic and very knowledgeable. unfortunately I left the shop with a nightmare that followed me home. the manager did not offer any sort of compensation or even an apology for the fact that I paid over $800 for a huge waste of time. read more

Thieves broke in, doing extensive damage. SJ Denham's friendly folks vacuumed the broken glass while doing the estimate! Later, the work was done to perfection. Communication was excellent, I knew every step of the way where things stood. The crew up front was every bit as skilled as the technicians out back. My car was total led by someone backing into it. The driver had Safeco Insurance so I thought, hmmm, good insurance no problem. WRONG! We were treated very shoddily by Safeco. Had to get an Attorney. Had to have my car towed to SJ Denham and Amy Alleson wrote up a repair estimate. I want to say how wonderful she is.
