One of the best restaurants in town and, as of summer 2022, one of the only restaurants in town…read more We came here on a busy Friday night after partially walking into town from the airport. The ambiance was great, the crowd was rowdy in the best way possible. All their beers on tap were local, from Haines Brewing. Why every town in Alaska isn't like this (local beer on tap at the local restaraunts), I have no idea. This should be the norm! Instead you'll often see something like Alaskan Amber, Bud Light, and Stella Artois. The pizza took a while to come out, 30-45min, but they were SWAMPED because of beerfest. When it finally did, it was very good. This is NY-ish style pizza. The emphasis is on really thin crust. This was a pretty good take on it! My only real complaint is that this dough/crust performs very, very poorly when eaten the next day. This is definitely EAT NOW pizza, not SAVE SOME FOR LATER pizza.

I waited on an outdoor table and then ordered the pesto roll for $13 (same menu as posted on yelp here) with goat cheese (for an extra charge of $4). It took about half order for my order. The views were nice but it was a little chilly. The roll was a little bigger than I had pictured (unfortunately for me as I wasn't looking for leftovers) and came with a side of marinara. Maybe it was the combination of the mozzarella and parmesan, but the goat cheese was a bit overpowering and couldn't really taste much of the salmon. Left feeling like I made the wrong choice. Should've chosen the slice of pizza... Update: I was thinking about the roll afterwards and how satisfying it was, which is weird to not like it much while eating it and then like it afterwards. Anyways, it tasted much better warmed up the next day

If you find yourself in Skagway, Skagway Brewing Company is an absolute must-stop!…read more I started with the Halibut Chowder -- rich, delicious, and incredibly filling. A perfect way to warm up after exploring the town. The service was speedy and attentive, which you really appreciate when you're hungry after a long day of adventures. Hubby washed everything down with a frosty mug of root beer -- perfectly chilled and refreshing. I'm a craft beer lover, so got a flight of beers. The hardest part? Choosing which ones to try! So many great options. And let me tell you about the Gandolfini Grinder -- this sandwich is an absolute unit. Flavorful, stacked, and generous in size. It did not disappoint! Whether you're a cruise passenger making a quick stop or spending more time in this historic little gem of a town, Skagway Brewing Company delivers on all fronts -- great food, great drinks, and great vibes. Highly recommend!

We have been here once before and our bartenders were friendly at the bar, and the food was good, but the service was so horrible that I can't give more stars than 1 because it completely ruined our dinner and moods after a long day where we were looking forward to dining here. Consider going to one of the other local breweries or avoid the dining area servers if possible.
