I found her through Groupon and was so skeptical since Groupon finds are so hit or miss - but damn am I glad I gave skin energy a chance!! My skin improved in less than two days!! I had a cluster of breakouts on my chin and even without extractions (extractions were done on the rest of the face but the chin was too tender) the ultrasound treatment got rid of ALL pimples under the skin. It was completely healed in 2 days. Not only are treatments effective, but Kimbra offered advice regarding which products I should be using to take care of my skin. Skin Energy is in the Regency Salon Studios. This is basically a building with several beauty businesses. There is a parking structure off Hudson that is free for 90 minutes with validation. My experience at Skin Energy was incredible. Kimbra uses top the line technology, she's extremely knowledgeable and is up to date with all the latest research. I felt comfortable in her hands! The best part is that Kimbra offers these high tech treatments at a totally affordable price. You can't find these prices anywhere. I had the OxyGeneo with ultrasound, followed by the LED photo light treatment. The OxyGeneo is the latest anti-aging treatment and can only be found in two places in LA, Skin Energy being one of them. I had previously had IPL at a different facility and ended up with dark spots and hyper pigmentation so was looking to fight and reverse the damage. I left feeling like my face was hydrated, clean, and more even toned. Not to mention, all of the treatments are done while laying on an infrared bed so you burn calories while getting beautified! I found Kimbra thought a groupon deal and decided to take the plunge and go see her for my first facial EVER. Yeap- I'm a 28 year old facial virgin. Wow, that came out wrong. Anyway, I saw her on a Thursday morning and was lucky enough to find parking right outside. It's free parking for 2 hours. The groupon I bought was for 70 mins but she definitely took more time to work on me. It was just under 2 hours I think. She asked about my skin concerns and then explained to me what she would be doing. The only thing I was a little disappointed on was that the microdermabrasion wasn't really the microdermabrasion I was expecting. The one I was thinking of also has a sucking mechanism but this one was purely a gentle exfoliation. With that being said- my skin still looked fantastic when she finished. Since she did perform an extraction, my skin was a little red and angry but that only last 24 hours. Some quick things to know! Don't wear anything on your face before you come and bring a hairtie Come a little early to find parking. This is Pasadena after all. I know there is a parking structure next door but I'm not sure if she validates. Or you can park at target across the street and walk over/ do some impulse shopping before or after your appointment. Her suite is located on the first floor and you can enter on Green Street or on Hudson (I think it's Hudson? I'm too lazy to check- forgive meee). There's a slight down time before of the extration- so book the appointment on a day where you don't have to do anything for the rest of the day. You cannot wear anything on your face that day so maybe bring a hat to block the LA sun if you're out and about! Enjoy! She's really nice! In fact I wore my shirt inside out and she didn't say anything- probably because I told her I was going to be home for the rest of the day! Hahah! I found Skin Energy on Groupon and I'm so glad I gave them a try! I got the 70 min facial and parked on the street but noticed the limit was an hour. I was afraid of running late so I went to see Kimbra and she directed me to the parking structure next to the facilities. It was a one way street so I had to go around the block and once I was parked in the right place and went back to her room, I was about 12 minutes late. Kimbra was so kind and sweet, she made me feel very comfortable which was much appreciated as I was feeling stressed about being late. Kimbra started working on me right away and I felt so relaxed that I think I fell asleep a couple of times! When she was done, my face felt much more hydrated and soft. We talked about more about my skin concerns and she made some recommendations that I will be trying. Kimbra is a gem and an absolute joy!!! I have no reservations in recommending her to all my friends! Tips: The parking at the structure is validated, in case anyone is wondering. I arrived on time and waited 10 minutes for Kimbra to complete with prior customer. I was understanding that she was running late since we are all human and that kind of stuff happens. She came out and forgot to say hello and introduced herself. She went straight into saying aren't you suppose to come next week? I reassured her that we had talked and texted about time and date. She then gave me the consent form to fill out and by time I saw her it was 20 mins after. Again, I was not worried it was 20 mins after but went to set a timer on my phone because I needed to be somewhere after. She seemed bothered that I was setting a timer and said she had never had a customer do that before and wanted to know if I wanted to reschedule. At that point, I wanted to reschedule because I was so offended by her tone and energy. She was so rude!!! I also felt she was entirely disorganized as she was mixing me up with other customers times and phone numbers. While scheduling she asked why I called with 2 phone numbers. 2 phone numbers??? Hmmm.. maybe it is another customer calling, too. I should have taken the hint from there to back out from scheduling. Reasons I was offended: 1. What kind of professional does not introduce themselves? 2. What kind of professional accuses their customer they came on the wrong day without first looking through correspondence? 2. What kind of professional tells you another customer has never set a timer to leave on time? Why does it matter to professional? Respect your customers lives. She texted to say she was sorry for being late and offered a free session. I appreciate that she apologized for being late, but the main issue was her poor communication and delivery. read more

When only the best will do! This is an update of my original review, 7-11-16. I have been a client of Kimbra's since she practically opened, receiving a facial every 5 weeks. I adore Kimbra- she is the sweetest person, always doing her best work, very easy to talk to, kind, and has a good sense of humor. But most importantly, my skin looks amazing. I receive compliments from any number of people on my skin- and I'm 63 now!! I feel that under Kimbra's watchful ministrations, my skin has improved and appears refreshed.
