He focused on the area that I requested to be worked on. He explained why I was having the issues on my back. They are very courteous and professional. Best massage ever! Visited Cambridge from Los Angeles and decided to get a massage since I've been tired from traveling and walking a lot in the city. Decided to come to Skin to Soul since it was right next to my hotel & there was a deal on Groupon (90 min massage). Keila was so good and gave the best massage! I told her I mainly wanted to relax, and that my feet/ankles and neck were sore. Pressure was good, overall felt like I enjoyed the massage, and got exactly what I asked for. I've gotten many massages before elsewhere, and usually dislike at least half of the session. Too bad I don't live in Boston, otherwise I'd come all the time :( The appointment was easy to book online. The place was not tooo difficult to find (down the stairs, next to Ever Fitness). The door was locked, and I had to call a phone number when I arrived. Loved that we didn't wear shoes inside, it was overall clean, and that the bathroom had small reusable (washed) towels to dry your hands instead of disposable paper towels. I had a Groupon here for a 90 minute deep tissue massage. Booked it for the following week with no issues and had an afternoon session with Lemuel. The office was very clean, shoes off at the front with a little sanitizing station. I was greeted by the office manager and asked if I needed to go to the bathroom or wanted any water before my massage. Lemuel was attentive, applied good pressure, and was able to focus on my tight areas. It's clear that he has been in his profession for years. It was a much needed massage for me and I hope to go back again soon! read more

Working on the computer for 8-10 hours gifts you with neck and shoulder aches. I went in for a myofascial massage as it tends to target the fascia. The therapist had a different technique than what I read and saw in videos, but if it relieved me of my aches, it didn't matter what the technique. It was a gentle touch on certain areas and stretches which she felt was the root cause, but not on areas that I wanted treated. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. I still have the aches that I went in with. The session to me is expensive and I didn't find it valuable or effective. read more

He gave me some great information on some new therapies, issues related to mask wearing, and body fatigue in general from the pandemic. I can only say amazing things about the service at Skin to Soul. The whole process is easy. I can't say enough about Jeff. It is obvious how much he cares and is always learning and using that knowledge to help his clients. I also just had an appointment with Tabitha for Thai massage and it was just what I needed. I haven't had a bad massage here and I like that you can try various massage types and know you will get an amazing massage. COVID UPDATE: wanted to add a note post reopening for anyone concerned. They have it covered and communicate that information and your role in keeping everyone safe. I knew their plan (which is extremely safe - cleaning, filters, PPE, room set-up, process changes, ... you name it - they have it covered) and how the whole session would go from checkin to checkout. And on first visit back Jeff walked me through everything again to make sure I felt comfortable. This review is particularly for Mily Mily who gave a fantastic massage. She wasn't afraid to exert pressure, but she was so smooth in her technique that I fell asleep. She also really got into my scalp (weird to say aloud, but it felt great)! I woke up feeling amazing (even the cold New England winter couldn't bring me down). However, I'd have to say more than the massage is Mily Mily's aura (I know, go ahead and roll your eyes at the word "aura"). She has such a calm way about her that gets you in your soul. So I went in for a deep tissue massage the lady that was working said she was going to try something unfortunately it did not work at all. I message them and they gave me a Groupon rate for a 90 minute massage. The day before they called meand told me that I had to go to a different location because they double-booked the lady so I went and they only gave me a 60-minute massage for $90. I said something to the receptionist she credited me the money I sent an email to the owner explaining what has happened and my frustration . I did not get an email back I had a different person call me back and leave a message telling me to go see a doctor because they... The second massage therapist was awesome her name was Ashley. All the people I talk to you in person we're kind but apparently the does not read her emails fully and just assumed I had a second bad experience with the therapist as a person that works for a small and has been in retail his whole life how do you call somebody back and tell them tough luck go somewhere else seek medical help will not be returning.also an hour after my massage I finally got the notification saying I had a massage that day and it said 60 minutes if I got that in a timely manner I would have realized something wasn't right read more

East West specializes in several types of massage that aren't commonly available such as traditional Thai massage (which is similar to assisted yoga). I had a great treatment by Dylan who is obviously a skilled therapist. Prices are reasonable especially for what you get, More so if you get a package deal or monthly subscription. I came here for a massage and left disappointed after the masseuse didn't listen to what I wanted. That particular masseuse is no longer there, and the owner reached out and set me up with Taylor. I'm so glad I went back. Taylor was very much in tune with what I wanted and was so so sweet. The space itself is lovely: very clean, and it's nice that there's a parking lot there as well. The waiting room was getting renovated when I came in, but looked very nice nonetheless. The guy at the front desk was friendly and welcoming. The massage room was very clean and relaxing, with dim lighting and spa music. And the massage table was heated, which is amazing. Tocara was great, she asked about any sensitive areas or places I'd like her to focus on before she got started. The massage was relaxing, but she definitely applied very firm pressure where needed (while asking if the pressure was ok). I've gone twice in the last 10 days and couldn't be happier with the work Chanelle has done. My first appointment was for some lower back stiffness due to some tight hamstrings and calves. She suggested a myo fascial massage to target those particular areas. My leg muscles are much looser and have better range of motion after my second visit. HIghly recommended. Go see Barbara! You will not regret it. You can schedule online or by phone. Online seems much easier, but not all the appointments are online. So if you would like to be seen right away, I would call. I called and was able to schedule an appointment within two days. Barbara was very kind and made me feel very comfortable from the start. They do not give you a robe and you leave your shoes at the door. There are slippers in the front that you can wear--I don't think they are new, so I declined and chose to be barefoot. Barbara then showed me to the room--spacious and clean. The massage was wonderful and Barbara took note and worked on all the points I specified that were bothering me. I wish I had booked 90 minutes instead of 60! The massage was wonderful! Barbara is very knowledgable and at the end of the massage she wrote me notes on ways to help my body be less tight/knotty. Normal prices and there are monthly rates too. I would recommend this place to everyone. read more
