This is a great spot! I am a regular here getting my eyebrows threaded and I have always had a great experience!

I moved from Seattle to Redmond so I was looking for a new place for my brows. The stars and the reviews on Yelp took me to this place. The first time - it was okay, I didn't love it but it was okay for a routine. And like others mentioned I was also pushed into getting the punch card, and I fell for it The second time - this took the cake, the lady completely took one line off of one of my brows. And she was brushing rest of it to cover it up Then a friend told me that other girl was good. So I took a chance and went in again since I had the punch card. The third time - She was actually nice and tried her best to restore the shape. The fourth time - happily I went in again, she was a little unpleasant buy did a good job. The fifth and the forever final time - I went in again, and this time she was in extreme haste. She took less than 5 minutes on my brows (yes, both) and she handed me the mirror, asked if I want the gel thingy, walked to the counter and called the next person please come and sit. I am glad that rest of the 5 star reviewers are getting a satisfactory service, but if you are just writing because the lady keeps asking you to(which I have witnessed), please don't misguide other. This place is Browtastic! My first time getting threading and I am a fan. It only cost $15 and she did a wonderful job not making it too thin. It doesn't hurt but does leave some redness. I don't know if my eyebrows are tough because she keep breaking the thread on me. Lol. I was in and out so threading doesn't take very long. The store was spacious and clean. I have the same huge full length Ikea mirrors. My female threader wasn't too aggressive on selling me the client loyalty member card. I said no once and she was okay with it. I only have good things to say about this salon. The customer service is very professional, courteous and consistent. More importantly, I'm OBSESSED with the way Niru does eye brows and waxing. I have been scared for years to have a Brazilian wax. I've tried shaving, laser removal and had a bad experience with waxing in the past. I was very worried but let me tell you! Niru did an AMAZING nearly painless job!! It seriously changed my life and confidence. Having it clean down there feels AMAZING. I am no longer concerned about getting waxed and extremely grateful I found this place and Niru. She made me feel so comfortable and none of it was awkward. Ok so my eye brows! I have amazing eye brows because I go here haha. They are perfectly threaded and the tint makes me look like I got micro blading done. I love it. Made an appt 5 days in advance for the earliest appt on Friday. I was running about 20 mins early so I got a coffee and circled past it a couple times to see if they would open early. At 10am, when the lights were all still off and no one was inside, I went up to the door and there was a sticky note that said they were closed today and would open tomorrow. ??? I made this appt 5 days ago, so they either don't have the courtesy of calling to say the appt needs to be rescheduled or just don't pay attention to their reservations. Disappointing! read more

What I hate the most, as a paying customer, is having my asks and requests ignored. I say "my brows were previously over threaded and were too thin. I've been growing them back. I want thick brows throughout with just a bit of arch. Please just clean up stray hairs"... The brow artist acknowledges my request.... Great service! They were attentive to my requests and very thorough. The process to get an appointment was very easy.

They are not even worth one star. Their services are horrible. Never go to them.I wish there was an option to give negative stars. I would give -10. The ladies who work here are not customer friendly. I got a loyalty card for 60$ and used it only twice. I ended up loosing my wallet and lost my loyalty card along with other cards. I went back to Skinluxe and told them i lost the card, i got my upper lips done just the day before and the lady there remembers punching my card. But they were so cold and just told me they cannot help replace the card. It was so annoying that i paid them 60$, lost the card and they are not willing to help me reimburse it or give me a new card. I'd highly recommend that people don't buy these loyalty cards. Because if you lose the card, you lose all the money. I'd recommend Skinluxe to use an app to track usage than the plastic cards that are bound to get lost! Update: here is the response from the owner - she sent me this on a private message after the one star review - just shows how unfriendly they can get Owner- "How about you be responsible and not lose your card? If you lose your cash, would you go back to the bank and ask them to replace it? If you buy a product and lose it, what business do you expect to replace it? Why is it that the business should assume the responsibility? You gave us a 1 star review not because the service was bad, but because YOU lost the card and just expect us to replace it. If we keep doing stuff like that we will go out of business. Perhaps you should be mindful of a business' pain points as well." My regular eyebrow/upper lip threading person was not well so I had to find a place in emergency. I was glad that they did threading and not waxing so that's why I chose this place. The person who helped me Did a great job But it hurt a lot throughout the process. That's why I might use this place as my second option for emergency purposes. I have very sensitive upper lip skin and if it hurts it leaves marks for days and that's what has happened in this situation too. After Meenakshi kindly reached out to me, I gave her a call and she told me about the ways she is improving her staff's training and offered me a complimentary underarm wax. I was finishing up some texts on my phone as I walked in (something that couldn't be ignored, even though I know it's rude to be on my phone) and Navi was super sweet and patient while I did that and as I took off my coat and sweater for the wax. I chose to wear a tank top, but I was offered a cover if I chose to undress more. She asked if I wanted soft wax or hard wax, and while I know a little bit about both, I have never been asked that before and it was a very considerate gesture. I chose soft wax. My left underarm always has some more stubborn hairs and Navi made sure to get every single one! She also used a wipe to put the soothing stuff on instead of that silly spray bottle lol. It's been 10 hours and the only bit of redness is on that side, and both feel so soft and wonderful. I have a 3-hour fitness exam tomorrow so I'm glad my pits are gonna be fresh! How have I not seen this place until recently? Located in the Redmond Town Center, Browtastic, is clean, quick and convenient. They did an excellent job with the shape of my brows and were very quick. They have a punch card that is an excellent deal. You end up getting about $88 work of services for a $60 card. I have been going here to get my eyebrows threaded for the last 2 years. They usually do a good job but sometimes you get someone that threads too much hair off. I also did laser which is why my review is only 2 stars. I paid for 6 sessions which should be enough to get rid of my upper lip hair. It didn't work. After I was done it grew right back. Hundreds spent with no difference at all. I was told 'sometimes that happens' and offered no reimbursement whatsoever. Update: I was messaged by skin luxe to contact them. I emailed right away. I love this place! As much as I love Frida Kahlo's work, I always get a little sad when my eyebrows get that crazy. But! I also have super sensitive skin and found that aside from making my skin super red waxing was also starting to tear off layers of my skin. No bueno. So, I was very happy to be introduced to threading through the wonderful Shay at browtastic. Super cute place. Simple and gets the job done without the insane redness. Shay is a master at her art. I have no idea how I can feel so relaxed while someone is ripping hair off my face! :-) Their card is a great deal and worth my drive from Capitol Hill to Redmond Town Center (and I don't rock the 520 that often). I have gone for brow threading for a few years now in Canada, but this was my first time trying a salon in WA. Sadly, Browtastic left me less than impressed. There was no consultation whatsoever about what shape I like or thickness. The technician just went for it and, to be honest, made my brows too thin. Of course, once one brow was done, then I just had to suck it up for the other one or they wouldn't have been even. She also went excruciatingly slow, which made it super painful. I was going to have my upper lip done as well, but decided against it based on how painful my eyebrows had been. In my opinion, being able to work fast is absolutely essential for a threader. The technician did trim some of the longer hairs, but she did not inspect for anything left behind or tweeze any strays. I also wanted to get my eyebrows tinted, but there was no facility for that even though it is a very simple process. On the plus side, it wasn't expensive ($15 for the brows) and I was able to walk in and out pretty quickly. Other ladies I know DID think this salon was good, so I wonder if my experience was an anomaly... or if I am just used to something more professional from the Bombay Brow Bar that I used to go to in Vancouver. Regardless, I'm unlikely to return to Browtastic or recommend it to others. read more

I took the time to figure out my old password to this site just in order to come leave a great review for Browtastic. I got my eyebrows done here today for the 4th time and I am so happy with the results. I have trichotillamania where I pull out my eyebrows when I get stressed out, so they look terrible. They are sparse and patchy where I should have eyebrows and then I had a lot of grown in hairs in places where you don't want eyebrows (like between the brow and under). I also get squeamish when I have to hold my eyelid. Basically I'm a hot mess. HOWEVER they do amazing work and once they are done, my eyebrows look FANTASTIC. It really changes your face when you have the right shape and arc. True, they don't consult you too much about the arch or width, so just be proactive on that. To me, I just want their best suggestion especially considering what they are working with on my eyebrows... Most times I go in they have asked in different ways what is up with my eyebrows, most likely thinking I tweeze and screw them up myself. But once I tell them my stress habit is pulling them out, I hate it, and I can't stop, they are very gracious and understanding. The wait isn't too bad and I appreciate how they are honest about when to come back (happened once). My toddler is a bit "busy" and they were patient with me the day I had to bring him with me. I've had my brows threaded at Browtastic four or five times, and I've been happy (if not elated) with the results each time. The first time I walked into Browtastic, I was nervous: I'd had my brows threaded before (when I lived in Illinois), and the threader had left them *far* too thin. When I told the threader at Browtastic that I was anxious about too-thin brows, she understood completely and used a light hand. The boutique itself is very cute and comfortable, and the two threaders I've met are very friendly. I only wish that they were less aggressive when trying to sell their client loyalty card. I used to get threaded in Kent& it was hard to find a solid & affordable replacement. This place (in Redmond town center) is quite nice. The interior is clean & trendy; the ladies are soft spoken & very friendly, plus their threading is what I am accustomed to. With the 'browtastic bucks' you get more bang for your buck. I went in on a weekday evening around 5:30pm and Browtastic was busy. There was only one lady from the salon and about five ladies in line waiting. The service is really good, the salon staff is very friendly and greet you as soon as you enter and mention that it'll be a few minutes before they can attend to you. The lady who did my brows was good. She was fast, thorough, and didn't ask too many questions. She knew to follow my natural brow shape and left my brows the right amount of thickness. Overall, the experience was pretty good, but I felt like it didn't last. Typically, I only get my eyebrows done once a month. I feel like with Browtastic, I would need to go once every two weeks to keep my brows looking nice. The prices are reasonable for the area, especially if you take part in the punch-card-like-deal that they offer. read more

It is a bit pricy coming from NYC (threading is only 7 dollars where my sister lives) but honestly, its expensive everywhere here in WA. if you get the card, its 5 off a visit, or 2 free visits. My eyebrows looked amazing at the end. The threading hurt more than average, but well worth the compliments I got. I have a scar on my left my eyebrow, and she did a pretty good job of keeping both sides looking even despite the scar. Also, some people don't understand the concept of "DON'T THIN MY EYEBROWS." Niru is my girl! I have been following her for years as she is the only one I will EVER touch my eye brows. She understands my preference and has always been honest with me in how to care for my brows if I want them a certain way/shape. She is the expert! She threads at a good pace and knows just the right amount of pressure when it comes to threading. Let's face it, too fast or too slow can be painful. This place is a good relaxing environment. I've tried to do my eyebrows many different techniques and people but Nafees has definitely been the best! She takes short time to do them but is very diligent and does them perfectly! My eyebrows have never been this similar. I went for brow threading few months ago and I did not like the service. I don't remember the name of the person that helped me but she was always asking me if it was good, as if she didn't know the best brow shaping for me or did not want to remove more hair than I wanted. This is not the type of service I expect because I also don't know the best shape for my eye brow so I want her to be confident enough to tell me and perform the job. I've been going here for the past three years. I've experienced some of eyebrow stylists there but only Nafees can deliver the skill and quality to meet my request. I have to say my eyebrow is not easy to be shaped so no one should be blamed. Nafees hands down the best. I can't say enough great things about Nafees. Location is great. Get some errands done, then walk in to get your brows threaded. They do a nice job. I plucked maybe three hairs from my eyebrows after, but that's pretty good! Make sure you arrive without your eyebrows filled or else it will be hard to find your natural arch. read more
