Took over an hour for "quick service food" Drinks were in a bottle so you had to pay for refills. Food was very okay at best and table seating was hard to find. More tables had no food then tables with food. Don't waste your time and go somewhere else. read more

Simply put, terrible. They didn't tell us until after we ordered it would be 45 minutes. Then it took 1 hour and 45 minutes and the food was just ok, plain old, nothing special burgers. They are OK. You walk up to the counter to order. We ordered 3 basic cheeseburgers, one grilled chicken sandwich, one small side of fries and 2 cokes which was around $45 total. The wait was so long. It definitely seems like their specialty is selling pitchers of beer. Honestly, I've had better burgers at In-N-Out, or Hardee's for those of you who don't have In-N-Out. We decided to take a ride on our bikes down to Bradenton. I heard about this place called skinnys. We were told that they had great burgers and onion rings so we stopped in we gave them a try. I must say we are very good burgers an excellent onion rings. The next time we take a ride down the Bradenton we will most definitely stop in and I have another Burger. This little bar is quaint- staff was rude - not very inviting- food was less than great. Not home made patties - hamburgers looked to come out of a box. Ordered our burgers got them within 10 minutes of ordering so super fast service. They definitely redid a bunch of things on the place so it's a super cute beach burger bar typa vibe! I give this 3 stars instead of two because the ambiance was nice and the beer was cold. I ordered the skinny cheeseburger cooked medium, and I received a frozen patty that was cooked well done (and also had mayo even though it was ordered without). My husband ordered his as it comes (medium well), but his was also cooked beyond that into a dried hockey puck of a patty. Our onion rings did not look like the ones others had posted. They were dark brown and our fries were Coppertone-oil brown. Essentially, it was an utter disappointment with every single item being over-cooked. The beer, though, was lovely. $36.75 for 2 beers, 2 skinnies, 2 waters, a fry, and an onion ring seems a little absurd when nothing was even homemade from the frozen patty to the frozen French fries and onion rings. There was definitely a missed opportunity to create a tasty lunch, and with a just a couple minor changes, this could have been a very different meal. read more

Had lunch at Skinny's today with my husband and two teens. It's Spring Break and they were packed even at 2pm. There was a little bit of a wait to get our food but we know why. The burgers were amazing. They even had a gluten free bun as an option. My son had 2 hot dogs and said they also were delicious. Been coming here for years! Skinny burger 1/4lb with American cheese and all the fixings. They have excellent sliced pickles that taste homemade. Contrary to many reviews this place does take credit cards. Lots of beers on tap, great happy hour daily 3-6pm with $1.50 Bud drafts, $9 pitchers, $4.50 wines. They do have 8 beers on draft along with seltzer's and ciders. read more

It has the looks of a little ole family owned place to eat at the beach, which it is. Cash only, they do have an atm there. You order at the bar and sit where you can. Beach at the Caribbean music is playing but not to loud. Neat little place. A veteran Army medic from WWII and his wife started the place long ago. The cheeseburger comes with optional mayonnaise on it. The lettuce, tomato, and onions with dill pickles come on the side. It's very delicious. The fries are very delicious. I personally don't care for the chili. The reason for four in a half stars is because of the parking. Later I got a hotdog with cheese and onions. It was off the charts!!!!! The bun was perfectly toasted. Would I go back you betcha I would!!!! The manager was very busy but kept up and doing a great job. The lady with blond hair was also doing a great job. We asked if she was part of the family, she said, "no but I feel like I am." They must be real good owners!! I had a very pleasant time and will definitely be back!!! read more
