Good little spot right off the beach for nice cold beer (complete with frosty mug) and relaxing vibe, but rival for the best burger on the island? Well... The burger is fine. It's a simple, no frills burger. The patty seemed fresh and spiced with s&p. You are just given a tomato, lettuce, onion, pickle should you choose to put those toppings on. Ketchup and mustard on the table. Mayo is apparently a BIG DEAL. In that, they will ask you if you want mayo with your burger. Our designated orderer (you order inside at the bar and retrieve your meal from the bar when it's "up") was sent outside to get everyone's mayo preferences...and then it's also given on the side?!? I liked: the beer, the picnic tables and umbrellas, the dog-friendly patio (and the fact that one of the staff brought the dog some ice water), the onion rings. Would I come here if I was in the area and wanted some beer and grub? Yup. Would I suggest it's a foodie destination with a must try dish? Nope. read more

Dirty and disgusting. I wouldn't have anything because of how dirty the place was. A friend recommended it but must of been drunk when they were there. Others tried the burger and they said it was nothing special. So if your drunk from being at the beach then you might love the place. Was my go to while on Vaca in AMI, I was there almost everyday for a cold beer and some conversation! It's a hut with open doors and windows, wall and ceiling fans provide AC. It's a locals hangout. Cash only. Cold beer and awesome burgers! I will be back. read more

I've been coming here since I was 8 years old and it has been great, popped by for the first time in a while and the quality has gone down. They forgot to put mayo on the burgers and the burger Pattie's were obviously not made and were just frozen( looked a little worse than McDonald's burgers). Nice little "hole in the wall." Met some nice locals. No air conditioning, but lots of fans and shade. Had a BLT and fries. Friend had a burger and fries. Their sodas come in glass bottles. The wait was 30 minutes to order and another 45 minutes for food. But it was worth it! Staff was helpful and friendly. Ordered a frosty mug and a root beer while waited for food. It is reminiscent of an In-N-Out burger only better... in my opinion. Skinny's is your place for inexpensive, and delicious food. The burgers here are excellent, well prepared, no fuss, perfect ratio of toppings to burger to bun. I had a burger carried out and it was excellent. This used to be my favorite place on the island for burgers and fries. However for that simple meal you're going to pay a lot. The fries are really expensive and I'm not quite sure why. We got sticker shock we got three Skinny cheeseburgers and two orders of fries and two bottles of Heineken and it added up to $32 bucks. That's a lot for what we got. I guess you're paying for the fact that this divey hole in the wall has a lot of history and no air conditioning. The burgers don't even seem to live up to the ones I've had in the past. They are just average now and makes me sad. After this sticker shock we can find another place for a decent burger in the future. Also the parking here can get dicey. read more

Yummy burgers and fries. Good beer too. It is a very casual and your typical bar setting. We sat outside where they have nice lights and high top tables. My wife and I have been coming here with her family since before we were married and I've been hooked on Skinny's ever since day 1. We've been known to spend entire afternoons here just relaxing and enjoying our vacation. Skinny's has one of the best burgers you can get. Did I mention they have the coldest beer on the island? Anyway, this last visit in June of 2017, we got in town at about noon. First thing we did was head to Skinny's while waiting for the rest of the family. In a world where restaurants are really hurting due to Covid, you really need to hire people that want to work and treat customers nicely.
