Great hamburger shack on the beach, hamburgers exactly how I like them plane Buns,juicy burger, classic sides, no fuss but really well-made. Crispy hand cut french fries and decent beer selection. Happy hour 3to6 dollar Bud and Bud light drafts. However none of the staff told us this nor did they tell us that it is cash only and that we would need to procure funds from the very expensive ATM around the corner. I think they've just been here for so long that the staff assumes everyone knows what to do. Regardless this did not detract from a wonderful experience. read more

In my opinion, burgers are good but overrated. Perfect for someone who wants a greasy fast-food style burger, but not gourmet. Harry's much more suitable for my taste. Got a burger and onion rings to-go. Supposedly the best burger on the island. It was a little burnt piece of meat (guess the name Skinny's is fitting) layered in bread, tomatoes, and lettuce so it looked like it was more than it was. I've never met a cheeseburger I didn't like, but I was expecting a bit more after the hype. That being said, the onion rings were AMAZING. Thick and breaded and yummy! Now this is how you make a burger!! The G3 has 3 patties, and 3 different cheeses, and 6 layers of delicious!! Skinny's is a little hole in the wall bar, it's cash only, the service is very friendly, and the story behind it is so cute. Family owned since the 50's and started by a couple who came to AMI on their Honeymoon and promised to come back and open a restaurant. This (G3) burger was split 3 ways by 3 ravenous girls... There was nothing special about the cheeseburgers here or the service. I felt it was similar to a Burger King meal and only the fries were better. We were fooled in to thinking the place would be good because it was crowded. It is a cash only place, order at the bar if one of the waitresses acknowledges you, and listen for your name to be called. I stood there while one waitress looked at me, ignored me and took 4 other beer refills. Take my advice have it your way at BK and skip this greasy overpriced burger joint. read more

Burger was amazing. Limited beer choices. They have a couple decent choices outside the standard macro stuff. No a/c, so I tend to pick up and go in the summer, unless I am hanging by the beach. Classic place to go. Some complain about the wait. If it is busy you will wait, but that is the norm for a place on the island during season. That is why some Iocals avoid the islands during season. Well. After reading reviews about this place we were excited to eat here. Very disappointed. We ordered two cheeseburgers with grilled onions and french fries. I was unimpressed. The onions were more burnt than grilled. The burger was thin for what you pay and there was no flavor to it. The fries tasted like they were from a frozen bag out off Publix. To top it off people smoke right outside and since the whole place is open you get the smoke right in your face. And the service was not very friendly. Will definitely not repeat. read more

Normally we love Skinny's and can overlook the swarm of flies that surround you while you try to eat. Today they were so much worse than normal. And they certainly don't try to go out of their way when it comes to customer service. My son asked for a chili cheeseburger. It's not on the menu so the guy told us we had to buy a burger. Then buy a bowl of chili. And then order cheese and make it ourselves. Are you kidding me? So we skipped that and got a regular cheeseburger and onion rings. Frozen onion rings and there were 4 for $4.25. No thanks. There are plenty of places for great bar and beach food. We've been coming to Anna Marie for over 20 years and were always intrigued by this picturesque beachside burger joint. We've always heard great things but never had the chance to stop in. We did yesterday; and for the sake of the romantic expectation we had for Skinny's - I wish we hadn't. We were sorely disappointed. The burgers patties were smaller than something you get from McDonald's- but harder and drier. It's probably a 3.5. Burgers are good. Onion rings and fries are excellent. Not great beer/wine options. Most of the seating is outside which is a bit tough with cleanliness, birds, bugs, heat...but I'm a Florida girl so I can deal with most of that if the food is worth is. I'm a big burger fan. When the lady who works at the Island Coffee Haus recommended Skinny's for a good cheeseburger, we jumped at it. This is an old building with lots of "character". Don't let that scare you off. You order your burgers, fries and drinks at the counter, find a seat and wait. Be aware, they don't take credit cards but there's an ATM outside. When you order your skinny burger or fatty burger (meaning it's a double), you just say mayo or no mayo. The lettuce, tomato and onion comes with it, like it or not but it's on the side. The staff is real friendly and so are most of the customers. Oh, by the way, the sign out front says it's open until 8 p.m. read more

Great service, the ladies where friendly and Point on. The curly fries are my favorite and most places do not have them. The Bacon Cheese Burger reminded me of the time I sailed for 38 days in the Pacific Ocean and the first meal I had when I made land fall was a Bacon Cheese Burger. I love this place! But let me warn you, this is your basic beer and burger joint (even though I always order a basket of buffalo chicken pieces). You place your order at the bar and have a seat, they'll call you. Dollar draft beers in a frosty mug will keep you chillin while you wait...in fact, get up and order another one! Beware...there is no air conditioning in this place, so you have to replenish with lots of fluids (beer). And you will always meet friendly locals and vacationing beach goers here. This place is basic...but I think shoes and shirts are required but they may be lax on that rule too. And bring the kids...my nieces and nephews love it here...they think it's way cool. read more

We got there early... Got busy after we were there.... Took about 45 min for food for 6...2 adults and 4 kids.... Not quick... But not too long either.... Nice feel to the place.... Like being on the beach at a little burger Shack.... Burgers were good.... Chicken tenders good for the kids.... Family of 6 with a couple of beers came to 55$ or so....
