Pinky and Kavina are my dream team! I've had Botox at numerous places and Pinky by far is the best! She gives me "sprinkles" of Botox all over versus giving me large quantities in just two places on my forehead-- resulting in a dead giveaway for Botox, the "Spock brow". I love that Pinky looks at the face in its entirety, and giving it a natural balance. I have gone to Kavina for both miconeedling and bikini laser hair removal. The microneedling gave my post accutane skin the life, smoothness and the glow it was lacking. I told Kavina I was not worried about the pain from the laser hair removal (although there was literally close to none), I was worried being so exposed and venerable. I get laser hair removal done here. Yes, it's expensive and it might be a bit more than the other ones but they're fantastic, so I consider it to be worth it. I like to book my appointments in the morning so that parking isn't as difficult. I recommend buying LHR in a package of 5, you'll get a discount and depending on how your skin reacts, you'll probably need a few sessions. I started with getting my armpits done, absolutely painless and it probably took about 1 minute per armpit. After the first treatment, it eliminated maybe 60% of the hair on my left armpit and maybe 40% on my right. It's kind of a strange process because after you get it done, you have to wait a week or two until the hair actually falls out. I don't know about you guys, but I'm happy to fork over the extra money knowing that I'll never have to worry about what or how they're treating my skin. To me it's not worth the risk to end up having a painful treatment or risk damaging my skin just to save a few dollars. But hey, that's just my opinion :). read more

I went to Skin Spirit at U Village to address some chicken pox scarring from childhood and at the consult they suggested I do a course of microneedling . They told me I would definitely see some improvement, but the degree of improvement varies from person to person. However, after finishing the course of treatment, months out, the scarring actually looks worse than when I first started. When I put on make-up it seems to make it stand out more than it used too. To make things worse, the aesthetician that did my treatments acted annoyed when I told her that it was hurting too much during microneedling, even though there was bleeding and I later found out the numbing cream should have been kept on my face longer. At the end when I said I did not see an improvement at all I was told that I could try dermafillers even though this was never suggested as an option in the beginning and I could have just saved my money for that treatment. This place is advertised as a medical spa but it is not. It might work if you're looking for purely cosmetic enhancements, but if you're looking to correct some sign of injury or illness I'd save your money and go somewhere that really knows how to deal with that - and maybe involves someone with an actual MD in the process at some point. (My only interaction was a 1 min interaction with someone via Zoom to check on pre-existing health conditions or something, seemingly for liability reasons) read more

I had a bad day today with the staff. When you are late for ten minutes for appointment , they will reschedule you and also charge fee saying that those are the rules. This is okay , but when you are on time, they will make you wait for 15min outside the door in the cold , not even allowing to step inside after all that temp checking etc, again saying those are the rules. why is it rules in favor to them. how about treating on time or else do not charge when people are late. A few years ago I went to a different business that was highly recommended and left feeling unsatisfied, I only got a half syringe and a left with little bumps in my lips. So I wanted to give it one more go but expressed to Catherine I still want them to look natural, ( we went with 1 full syringe) I don't care to have much bigger lips I just wanted them a little more plump and evened out. She was so wonderful and knowledgeable and so excited to do my first injections ever, and she had time on the day of my consultation to do the actual injections! Audi did such an amazing job of preserving the outline and natural structure of my lips while giving me the volume I've always wanted, and gave me tons of chances to tweak the look as we went along. We ended up having leftover filler and she suggested putting it in my chin-- I would have never thought of it but it balanced my side profile so well!
