Ok, so just had a routine Hydrafacial with Quista and my skin feels amazing. I normally over-research everything, but for some reason I didn't with this and walked in not really knowing what I was getting myself in to. Luckily, Quista put me at ease and walked me through every step. She took extra care to get to know my skin first, i.e. was I sensitive to anything, what my daily routine was and the products I used, and any issues with my skin. I mentioned that I had a reoccurring sun spot (newly healed scab on my nose) and she avoided that area. This was the first medical facial for me, and at 51 my skin really needed it and soaked it all up. In the future I'll know what to expect and be able to relax a bit more. But that being said, it was still very relaxing and felt great. Appears to be a great introduction to other dermatological procedures like a chemical peel or microdermabrasion, though this is just an opinion. read more

Loved this place. I had never been, but it was close to our apartment, so I made an appointment online. I went in to get preventative Botox shots and was very nervous (I absolutely hate needles). Cheryl was amazing and the atmosphere was very calming and relaxed. She explained the process, asked about my end goals, and was really insightful about other skincare tips. Before injecting, she asked that I raise my eyebrows so that she could be strategic in the placement. The actual injections took about 5 minutes and were not painful, more like a slight pinch. Overall, very quick and easy and much more relaxing than I had anticipated. Sometimes places like this have staff that are standoffish, but the staff here were so inviting and nice. It's been 2 days and I have already seen a big difference (full results take about a week). I would highly recommend this place and look forward to trying their facials, as well! read more

My wife talked me into getting a Hydrafacial the week before leaving to Mexico for our wedding. It was my first facial and I was a bit nervous but the ladies made me super comfortable and were awesome. My face looked great despite beating it up at the beach and drinking ourselves silly. I have gone through about four packages (5 each) of hydrafacials with Theresa, and getting them here is one of the highlights of my month. My skin feels so incredibly clean and healthy afterwards! I love Theresa's demeanor as well, and seeing her is all part of the wonderful experience. The space is relaxing and clean, and their equipment is top-notch. I haven't tried their other providers, but I know Theresa has been doing these the longest/most experienced out of the bunch. I had a consult with Cheryl to treat melasma, and she gave me a product and told me how to use it. Who would have known that my weird, sensitive skin had some crazy allergic reaction to it two weeks in! (Apparently its rare, but can happen). I went to Skinworx first thing on Sunday right after it happened. Neither Cheryl or the manager were not in that day, but the ladies who were working showed the utmost concern and did everything they could to reach Cheryl for me. Cheryl called me back immediately (on a Sunday when she wasn't working!) to discuss how to manage this, and she booked me a complimentary appointment for a light therapy facial treatment that she thought would help calm the reaction. She was right; it definitely helped. Everyone at Skinworx is so kind and so professional and they truly care about their clients. I received some Fraxel treatments from across the street and before I had my first session they recommended a hydrofacial at Skinworx. When I went in they were very accommodating, informative, and kind. I became a member my first visit and I have been happy to continue doing it. I cant comment on the services here because I had a consultation booked and after waiting 40 minutes to be seen I had to leave. The receptionist told me at first that they were running 10 minutes late which I was totally fine with. As I sat there waiting, the receptionist didn't keep me informed and when I asked what was going on she was impolite and didn't apologize for my wasted time. I noticed that they sent me an email a half an hour before my appointment that my consult was cancelled, but I didn't cancel it, was already on my way, and nobody called me so I dont know. I am totally understanding that things happen but I just felt like they could've handled it better. My mom booked an acne hydrafacial for me since I'm in my teens and prone to breakouts. The facial was so relaxing I almost fell asleep! I left with a glow and my face felt so clean. The staff was very nice and friendly and made me feel comfortable since this was my first experience having a facial. I purchased a Gilt City voucher for a routine Hydrafacial after reading reviews here on Yelp, as I wanted a bit of extra glow for a friend's wedding coming up. It's pretty pricey for a sub-1hr facial, but I was willing to pay more for cutting-edge technology that supposedly provides amazing results. Unfortunately, I felt that my skin looked exactly the same after the treatment. I looked fairly closely at my reflection each day (I know it takes facials up to 5 days to have an effect) and saw no difference. My technician was very nice, and did a good job explaining to me what she was doing to my face and why, but ultimately I didn't feel that the cost warranted the price tag. Of course, one facial can't give you perfect skin, and I'm sure with more treatments I'd see a difference, but to see absolutely no change after one certainly de-incentivized me from re-purchasing. I will say that the treatment was very gentle overall, and I did not experience any negative side effects (redness, burning, flaking etc.) Additionally, I didn't really feel as though my tech tried to understand my skin, current routine, and goals for the session. Questions asked about my current routine felt like information-gathering for selling product post-treatment. I understand that businesses often lose money when consumers purchase services through group discount sites, and that selling me a bottle of lotion or whatnot moves the needle closer to break-even. And of course I'm willing to purchase based on a recommendation of someone who has worked on my skin and seen all its imperfections up close! However, I generally won't purchase something from someone who has only asked perfunctory questions about my skincare routine and goals. In summary: I was super excited to come to Skinworx and experience their technology, and was interested in becoming a regular client, but overall wasn't pumped about my initial visit. read more

Cheryl Pierce is the only person who has been able to reverse the hyperpigmentation I thought would never go away. I had given up on being able to look at my reflection without recoiling when I happened to meet Cheryl. She told me to stay away from lasers and peels in case of rebound effect. I purchased a moisturizer here by recommendation of the staff. I requested something that would help brighten my skin and that would be extremely hydrating as my skin is pretty dry. The moisturizer I purchased actually left my skin feeling dryer, if possible, and flaked under makeup. I tried to return the moisturizer a few weeks later even though I only used it a handful of times to give it a fair chance (I have a newborn so it's difficult to find time to get there). I was told whoever rang it up didn't put it under my account so they would need to have a manager try to look up my credit card. I never received a call back from the manager and never received a refund. I've now left the moisturizer with them, trusting I would receive a call and that there would be documentation. Now I have no actual product to return and am out almost $70 because no one took care of this. I've also had to reschedule two hydrafacials and never received phone calls back either time, even though I was promised that they would call. When I finally had my Hydrafacial, it was just ok. I wasn't wowed like I was led to believe I would be. My skin returned to its regular level of dryness within a few days. I would rather pay to get an actual clinical facial elsewhere. read more
