For me, these have been the absolute best burrito tacos I've ever had in my life! I have had them…read moretwice now because I didn't want to be impetuous with my first visit, but man, these things are so incredibly good! The thing that makes them so good would have to be the consommé dipping sauce that they give us with each order. It's brisket soup, done so very well. The next best thing is the crunch on the grilled taco before you even dip it. The textures are perfect! The brisket isn't dry at all. I don't think I've ever had a food truck that I've ever been pleased with because the food always seems to be slightly off because of the environment, but that is not the case with this place though. If you can't tell already, I strongly recommend this food truck to anyone. I will take pictures next time!

Here goes my standard disclaimer for Mexican restaurant reviews...I've lived all over the US and…read morehave spent more time in Mexico (not just tourist locations but all over) than most. I am also bilingual and speak Spanish at the same level I do English...so I'd like to think that people can trust my reviews. La Casa de los Tacos al Pastor was good. Very good. Now is it Texas, California or Chicago good??? Sorry no...but the flavors are still there for a solid 3.7 so let's round it up to 4 stars. Their al pastor and asada meats are very well seasoned and easy to chew. They use good quality tortillas for their tacos and good bread for the tortas. Flavor was very on point without it being overly greasy. Granted...the food was greasy...it's Mexican food...but it didn't leave me feeling sick. You definitely need to try a variety of tacos here. The birria, al pastor and carne asada tacos were my favorite. They got an extra point for letting me create my own torta...I like to blend the birria and al pastor meats. I recommend trying the torta as well because it's huge. It can definitely be a lunch to split for two people...but at over $10...that torta better be huge. For being a taco truck...it was very clean. All payment methods are accepted. Service was very friendly, prompt and efficient. There's usually a line so you can trust that your food is being made fresh for you. So why 4 starts and not 5. Ok...maybe my age is showing on this one...but there were two factors that I simply could not overlook: 1) Tacos de la calle...street tacos...are supposed to be good AND cheap...like cheaper than going to a restaurant. That's the whole point! It has to be convenient and less expensive. My wife and I ordered a few things and it was almost $40! I know there is inflation and the economy isn't what it once was...but for those prices it's the same as calling in a to go order at any other restaurant. For what it's worth...the customers in front of me and behind me both could not believe how expensive their meals were. 2) too much piña in the al pastor meat. Pedacitos...ok. Está bien...pero cantazos no. In Mexico you never will see pieces of pineapple bigger than a pea in your al pastor. It's becoming a trend in many Mexican restaurants where they add chunks of pineapple...people who don't know the difference won't care, but they should because it means the customer gets less meat for the same price. My advice is, if you're in the area, definitely try their tacos. I think you'll like them.

He looked and dryly said no. Then I asked if the burger was a hamburger or a cheeseburger. Again dryly he said it cost extra for cheese. I should have just left then but I wanted to patronize a local small business. I figured a grilled hamburger would be pretty good. So I ordered and he said he would bring it to me it would take 5 mins. I was the only person there. So he brought my food and I opened it up there and the disappointment on my face. The bread was hard. Toasted for to long. And the burger was just a frozen patty that had been put on the grill. I was hoping it would be a homemade fresh ground beef burger put on the grill but as you can see my the pictures that was not the case. Super dry. Overall not happy. Not worth the $5!

We ordered 4 hotdogs: two with ketchup and mustard (3/5) and two with slaw (4/5). My husband also decided to get a 1/2 slab of ribs (3/5). I never put ketchup on my hotdog so don't ask me why I did it this time SMH. The server, who we assumed was the owner, was courteous and about the business of delivering orders in a timely manner. There was a steady flow of customer traffic. The prices were affordable. We sat in our truck and ate. We could've also eaten on the dining tables on the lot.

We happened upon this little gem while checking out the Iced and Topped Bakery Shoppe in the same strip mall. Hubby and I had already eaten lunch; however, were interested in coming back so we walked over to check out his hours. Mr. Kelley graciously answered all of our questions and let us try his brisket, BBQ ribs and alligator sausage. These were on par with the best smoked meats we've had anywhere in the United States. You would usually only expect to find smoked meats this good at a few places in the Atlanta area and in Texas. The meats were tasty and tender with a great smoke flavor being present in a big way, something you don't find at most BBQ places these days. In addition to the aforementioned meats, he smokes rabbit, chicken, etc. The game meats he smokes varies occasionally depending upon what he has available to smoke. Mr. Kelley's BBQ Food Truck can be found in the mall most days, unless he is servicing a catering event (Wedding/Birthday/Business/Celebration.) BRING CASH as he doesn't have the means to facilitate paying with credit cards with inflation rampant these days. This is a "To-Go" setup. It's such a great location as you can get phenomenal smoked BBQ and delicious dessert next door all in one quick stop (along with a hair cut, if desired).

The problem is that we found human hair in the rice onto two separate occasions. The food was so good we thought maybe we would give them one more try hoping it was just a one time accident. However the second visit we experienced the same thing. Hair in the peas and rice. We were extremely disappointed because the taste of all the food was so good. But finding here in our meals on two separate occasions it's just a huge turn off. Both times it was in the peas and rice. So whoever is prepared in the peas and rice needs to be reminded to wear a cap and gloves and put their hair back or something. It has caused us not to want to return even though the majority of the other food was very very tasty. Our hearts were broken because we thought we had finally found a good Jamaican spot. But we just can't deal with hair in the food

Here are my thoughts: Pros: Decent prices, food cooked to order, heavy plates. Good flavors. Oxtails were cooked well and fell off the bone. Spicy. Cons: Jerk salmon was a little too saucy. Not a deal breaker but not what I was expecting. Spicy. Mac and cheese wasn't the best but not the worst, my friend said. Overall, I wanted to try a minority owned restaurant that had good reviews on Yelp. This was the spot I chose. Everything was good and if in the area, you definitely must try them out.
